The Chinese manufacturer Unicig is a prolific producer of recognized and innovative vape equipment since 2012 with its eSmart Starter kit, but it is undoubtedly its Mutation X dripper (more than four versions released) and its dedicated mecha mod that have propelled the brand at the level of the big existing names.

We are testing today a rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) of last generation, with which you can consider a vape in sub-ohm and that you will fill easily. There is a lot of people in this niche and the Indulgence MT-RTA is not declined with a proprietary resistance system, only a mounting plate that will require some knowledge of this specific practice.

Its price places it just at the high level of entry-level atomizers, it is quite attractive because the object is well made and the kit well provided in terms of spare parts (accessories and spare parts).

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

The atomizer consists of 304 stainless-grade metal parts. The tank is relatively fragile pyrex (1,75 mm thickness). The non-adjustable positive pin is silver-plated brass for better protection against corrosion and, according to the manufacturer, better electrical conductivity .... total length off connector: 46,5mm.

The top and the fixing screws are also in "stainless steel 304". The top cap is in two parts, a notched ring, screwed, on which we introduce the drip-tip, which we remove to access the 2^rd ring with a light * filling and prolonged the chimney that surrounds the heating chamber.

An air flow control ring rotates at the base of the atomizer bottom cap. It releases or closes two 5,3 x 3,2 mm lateral airholes. I will talk about the characteristics of the drip-tip lower, know here that it opens to the suction 6 mm diameter.

The indulgence is well done, triple-lip O-rings ensure a perfect seal and maintain the various parts well between them. The threads are machined as well, all in all we are dealing with a beautiful object.

Reviewer's comments on functional features

Notable features in 2 are two main points, airflow adjustment and filling over.

The adjustment ring rotates freely around the base of the bottom cap, its resistance to untimely adjustment is fairly average, for my part I find it inadequate. The maximum air intake, of 2 x 17mm², is entirely suitable for sub-ohm use of the atomizer.

For filling, it happens on top after unscrewing the upper notched ring top cap. You will be careful to insert your tip inside the oblong * light which then appears in thick bottom on the side. Just do not pour any juice inside the chimney, and your 5 ml will be up and running for a while depending on your setup.

During the first start-up, once your coil is mounted, during priming (humidification of the capillaries), avoid as much as possible pouring juice into the air inlets under the resistors, this blunder will result in a leak, as soon as you open the airholes. Close the air inlets to fill the atomizer, for the same reason as before, but this time because the upper opening promotes the flow of the juice even through the capillaries, only one outlet for him: the airholes.

The cleaning is easy because you can completely disassemble your Indulgence, mounting studs and positive pin included.

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

With its two O-rings, the drip-tip is perfectly secured to the top cap. It is short (9mm excluding 510 base) and measures 11,75mm outside diameter, for only 6mm inside opening. It is made of two materials: metal and delrin. Indeed, the latter is inserted into the metal column and extends to constitute the nested part of the drip tip with its seals. The good thermal insulation (or poor conductivity) of the delrin allows the drip tip not to heat up when you choose to use the ato at high powers.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

Your atomizer arrives in a transparent plastic box wrapped with a heat-sealed film. Inside, a soft black foam surfaced like velvet, accommodates the ato, the spare tank, and the bag of accessories and parts and spare. Here are the details of the objects present in the bag: 1 cruciform screwdriver, 3 screws and 5 replacement seals, as well as a shutter to stop the arrival of juice on an entire side, thus allowing the realization of a simple coil assembly .

You will also find a notice in English, generously provided with explanatory images that should be enough to understand everything and thus deter the pure Francophiles to undertake the delicate translation of the technical phrases proper to the vape and whose many terms are almost unknown dictionaries French / English (and vice versa). There is also a small box on which is notified the effective passage of your atomizer to all quality controls, without really knowing what it is because there is nothing in front of each topic mentioned.

A package all in all quite sufficient and consistent with the level of range of the proposed object.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

Before using the atomizer you will have to mount your coil! Although I can not do much for you in this regard, I will still try to bring some tracks so do not go for a thankless, and you will reveal my little experience of 3 days and 2 montages.

Attempt sub-ohm to 0,5 ohm and FF1 to start. From Kanthal to 5 / 10^rd for an inner diameter of 3mm, 5 turns and single coil, with shutter. The Fiber Freaks 1 density is rather a capillary with good circulation of juice and offers a lower quality of retention than 2 density. In the context of an ato tank, this is the reason that pushed me to use it, especially as this resistance value must be relied on a generous supply of liquid. For the amount of fiber I preferred the minimum, that is to say fill the channels and do not force in the coil. At 30 W, the vape volume is dense, the airflows are half open. The flavor is not exceptional but not absent either.

At 40 W, it starts to send in terms of volume of steam and it is stationary for the restitution, always half open.

At 50 W, it is better to open more for my taste, and not to prolong the suction beyond 6/8 seconds, the taste flap is always set back, the volume of vape is quite large and consumption is makes it also feel (there is however only one coil, it must pump severe in double coil at this value). Verdict after a tank, and 4 hours of vape: good production of vapor but disappointed with the restitution of flavors. The ato heats moderately it is still bearable, even at 50 W.

The other option was to mount a double stainless steel coil 0,30 thick, 2,5 mm in diameter, 6 turns, for a total value of 0,8 ohm. Still drained by FF 1, the experience is a little more convincing. First, it consumes the juice less quickly, (at 25W, I vaped the 5ml in 6 hours without really releasing the mod for more than 10 minutes each time (say 4 times). At 30 W, the vape is a a little more tasty, (half airflow) and the correct volume of vapor, I also consider that this is the best adjustment compromise that I have reached with this resistance value. This atomizer does not compete with a Subtank in terms of of restitution of tastes and I'm not talking about a comparison with a dripper of the same brand! The good point lies in the fact that the vape is not hot and that the drip-tip remains cold, fruity lovers will see a definite advantage.

It is certainly possible to achieve more convincing results, but for lack of time, I did not go further in the editing options, in fact I was long to resume my dripper of the moment.
