This new version adopts new trends and is literally updated.
The promise of vapor and flavor, but also versatility are the order of the day. All this for a very competitive price.
In short, all the ingredients seem to be in place to allow this sure bet to pursue his successful career, but we will not just stick to a feeling, so let's go for the test.

We immediately recognize a Mutation thanks to the 18 airflow holes deposited in a trapezoidal formation on the body of the atomizer.
This X 4s version is no exception to this rule. But we can see from the start one of the novelties. Present at the bottom of the atomizer two series of three holes of different sizes housed in a cavity, indicates that this dripper has a double airflow system.
On the metal body an engraving of tribal inspiration and the name of the atomizer.
In the pack there is also a PMMA extender which changes the look of the atomizer and which allows the installation of the drip-top, while modifying the volume of the vaporization chamber.
When we dismantle this mutant we discover the system of very protruding fins intended to vary the airflow of the body.
The deck adopts a style, I give it to you in miles: Velocity. This type of tray is definitely needed on all atomizers. The two stations have good diameter holes that can accommodate wires with a cross section exceeding 0,6mm or multi-strands.
The tank is a little reduced by the air inlets positioned under the coils.
Nothing to say about the quality offered to us by Indulgence, this new Mutation displays a very good price / quality ratio, and from this moment it is easy to imagine that the vape should follow, but check all the same.

A Velocity deck allowing to consider double or quadruple coil assemblies.
Two airflow systems: one side and one from below. Both are independently adjustable, but here I just have to cast a doubt. The lower airflow setting seems unnecessary, because whether you open wide or not, the air enters the entire cavity that houses the three holes of different diameters, so for me, the position does not change much.
The tank accommodating the wicks is a bit small, the fault of the airflow nozzles, but this is not catastrophic, we can still do some puffs without filling every two seconds.
We also have the PMMA extender which allows to significantly increase the chamber and thus offer a less hot, and more “diluted” vape.
The novelties inspired by competing atomizers offer great possibilities to our Mutation, it is really opportune to have them integrated on this new version.

The supplied drip-tip adopts a conical shape. In Delrin it has a rather large internal diameter and will be perfect for cloud chasers. A 510 reducer allows the use of a more conventional drip-tip, which is interesting in view of the different airflow adjustment possibilities, so we have everything you need to use this dripper in many ways.

It's a bit the black point of our dripper. Black is the dominant color of the flexible cardboard box, the V4s is in shiny red, it's not ugly and given the price, we will not be offended by such treatment.

The Velocity-inspired deck makes assembly easy. The holes of the stations are each 2mm in diameter, no worries to install all kinds of resistive wires.
The installation of your fiber will be a little more delicate because the tank is not very large and once your coils are installed the cavities are not very accessible.
This is really its only weak point, because otherwise, we do what we want with this Mutation, big cloud, a flavor and vapor vape or even a tighter vape, very flavor oriented. More than a mutant, he is a chameleon.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
I believe he is one of the first drippers of this line that I am testing. The Mutations have made a name for themselves thanks to this lateral airflow composed of 18 holes and their price / cloud ratio.
This new version incorporates the codes established by its predecessors. Indulgence sought out good ideas from competitors. The Velocity plate and the airflow from the bottom allow this dripper to be easier to assemble and above all to be super versatile.
It allows you to make big cloud, but also a less airy and tastier vape. The PMMA extand completes the picture and offers a solution to “refresh” the vape.
The price is still very low and frankly, this Mutation is a great deal that you can consider without fear of breaking your budget.
