For its presentation Unicig did it right. The box is hermetically covered with a heat-sealed protection, as well as the mod. The box is gray, in rigid foam. It gives a glimpse of the object of your purchase by a hollow sheet which covers it. Metallic blue inscriptions indicate the manufacturer's contact details on the back, as well as the name of the mod.
That is all and it is sufficient, for a reasonable price the packaging exists and this is not always the case with much more expensive equipment.
No instructions in the box. As this mod consists of 3 parts, it is not necessary. The concern to protect the object lies in the material used and in the design of its packaging. You will have to remove the plastic film surrounding the mod and its box, it is not reusable.

At the time of the 200W boxes which give the time, the temperature of the coil and the number of puffs ... .. we are entitled to say that a simple tube with a top-cap and a switch is not really of interest.
Yet considering its price and quality of manufacture here is a tool that is well worth the few minutes you will spend to learn more.
First of all it is a mono-tube mod designed for 18650 batteries, in satin black lacquered stainless steel (for the one I'm testing). Its adjustable magnetic switch is made of stainless steel and copper (for the connector). The top-cap, in stainless steel and copper too, is equipped with 4 fins (heat sinks) which recall the famous dripper of the same name with which this mod is of course perfectly flush. The 3 main parts fit together perfectly to offer the look a formidable uniformity.
No less than 18 degassing vents (2 X 9 on either side of the main tube) coincide with the air-holes of its originally dedicated dripper.
No lock for the switch which, in the standby position, rests on a finely turned collar at the base of the bottom-cap, so you can put the set upright without fear of an unwanted fire.
It's a neat product with successful finishes, and I haven't said everything yet….

Don't be fooled too much by the note, it's a mechanism, extremely simple and efficient. The connector settings allow all configurations of atos in 510, with any battery (flat or button top) 18650 which I must remind you of the compliance in terms of maximum discharge capacity of at least 15 A for for safety reasons and not to say 20 A.
The magnetic switch is pleasantly regular and slides perfectly in its housing: no miss-fire on the horizon. It is not planned to replace the magnets of the switch because the pitch receiving the connection screw is stamped and mated in the mass of the nylon insulation (?).
The top-cap is available in 3 parts, the two copper parts are adjustable and constitute the assurance that your assemblies will be perfectly assembled and will have the best connectivity.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
Again, the rating does not really reflect reality. Although there are no instructions, this mod is intended for people who already know the vape in mecha, having good bases in electricity. For the neophytes it is necessary to be informed and what you will know then will be valid for all the mechanical mods. This is delivered in packaging which provides protection against shocks, but which is not to be considered useful for its transport in “nomadic” mode. It is the typical box of the manufacturer, anxious to preserve the material until the customer. Remember that a thermo-sealed plastic packaging contains both the box and the mod.
Appreciations in use

In operation it is impeccable… yes! This is the advantage of the mechanic mod. The copper connections are absolutely effective, no pulse lag, it crackles directly. The settings allow a perfectly flush set configuration. With its 155g battery included, it is present in hand but will suit those who want the autonomy and the simplicity of the 18650 vape.
In use, remember to clean and polish the connectors which can (which will) oxidize without omitting the part in contact with the positive pole of the ato. This last recommendation is the only real obligatory constraint to benefit durably from this mod. The lacquer finish (satin black) is prone to scratches and may show signs of impact if you hit or drop your set on hard and / or abrasive surfaces, this is the lot of many items of such invoices and we are not going to hold it against the manufacturer. The adjustments are easily made by hand (the finger would be fairer) including the depth of the receiver of the positive pin. No problem for cleaning, he's a mechanic.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
You see that for a simple mechanical mod, this Mutation deserves your indulgence…. One last detail that can be an advantage in unfortunate circumstances and fortunately very rare, the threads of the tube and the caps are compatible, which allows to choose the position of the degassing vents according to the direction in which you have inserted the battery, (degassing most often occurs on the positive pole side). I pushed it to 0,4 ohm and it didn't heat up, it's slated to drop even lower. Another non-restrictive advantage of the mech: after a fall, a shock, and of course a good bath in water or coffee, it will work as before as long as you have restored your equipment to its dry and well-assembled configuration. 'origin (so experiment with your box to compare… ..) 😉
Solid and well designed, this is a mod that will last as long as you take care of it and never fail. It adapts of course to all types of resistance. it is therefore your responsibility to insert a suitable battery. 3 looks are available: black, steel (stainless steel) and copper. With its “twin” dripper it is simply perfect.
