When I received this atomizer for test, through the box I perceived this somewhat massive pace for a rebuildable tank but no particular attraction.
But hardly opened… pfiou, the drip-tip seems a little presumptuous to me, or should I say, the drip-top since at the exit the diameter of its opening is already 12mm and the template seems imposing. However, we are told a diameter on the base of 22mm, with a capacity of 6.7ml!?!? Laughing, I'll check it all out ...
Bizarre this story ... it's a tank or a dripper ??? Curiosity begins to tickle me, it's been a long time since an atomizer had not attracted so much attention to that point. Not knowing this guy at all, I scrutinize the beast to realize that I see no bell and that the diameter of the fireplace seems wide. But where is the plateau, is it a clearo? Impossible, there is marked RDTA!
I turn this atomizer all over the place, wow! I even see a rather loose nut under the top cap… come on, I stop looking, I take it apart and tell you the rest.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
Like its little brother, the Cthulhu, the quality seems identical with sufficient steel, but the quantity of material is a bit tight for some parts. It will be necessary to be a little careful not to knock this ato, under penalty of deforming parts. And yes ! There are no miracles, you can't make a large platter and keep a diameter of 22mm without cutting back somewhere.
At the top-cap, I see an abnormal tool mark. However the product is new, but this model has escaped the control which indicates the manufacturing defects. However, it is barely noticeable and does not interfere with the operation.
The Pyrex tank is very exposed, this atomizer is not ready to forgive you the slightest shock.
For threads, no problem. Each part is screwed perfectly without the slightest hitch, only the one that is under the top-cap with the bolt is a little difficult to catch because of its positioning, not its quality.
As for the joints, this is where the shoe pinches. I am disappointed with their insufficient quality. At the level of the tank, you will have to be very careful when you screw the chimney because the gasket tends to twist if it is not coated with liquid and, at the level of the base, the two gaskets around the adjustment ring of the airflow are a bit thin, so the ring does not have the firm hold it should.
On the aesthetic side, there is a design on the fireplace, but it remains too little visible, with parts almost erased. Under this drawing, the name of the atomizer: HASTUR. Under the base, apart from the serial number which is clear and well engraved, the rest is rather poorly done and not very clear.
For the diameter of this atomizer, Cthulhu was cunning, because the base is 22mm but just at the level of the base and the top-cap because the body is 23mm on all the airflow and tank part, either on 38mm.
Overall, the quality is very average, hopefully the operation is not affected. I continue the inspection.

Obviously, the Hastur is made to send heavy.
With a very wide drip-top, two large airflows, a 7mm diameter chimney, a large Velocity type plate for the double coil with 4 2mm wire holes, it's obvious. The Hastur is ready to accommodate all types of wires up to a diameter greater than 1.5mm. The space between the two studs is 1cm. The insulation placed under the negative terminal is rather thick and can therefore withstand high temperatures.
The montages made will be in double coil and sub-ohm but that's not all, since the airholes we see the resistances that are apparent as a dripper. This is also one of the special features of this atomizer, with a double tank under each resistance. All ensuring a very good return of flavors.
The autonomy is incredible, with a capacity slightly higher than that announced since I managed to put 7ml of e-liquid. However, the power of the vape being coordinated with the assembly and the possibilities of the ato, at more than 45 Watts, it is a big consumer of juice… and of batteries. So, plan to mount it on a double battery box preferably.
The airflow is proportionate to the possibilities of the Hastur with a large opening allowing aspirations worthy of a good dripper and the heat dissipation is also perfectly controlled. The pin is adjustable by a flat screw and although the drip-tip is proprietary, an adapter is provided to use the one of your choice in 510 format.

The drip-top is of type owner, it accuses a length of the same size as its opening: 12mm.
In Teflon it is simple and comfortable in the mouth. No heat brushed against my lips and yet I climbed to over 60 watts. This drip-top is perfect with adequate support.
Comes with this atomizer, an adapter to use drip-tips in 510 connection to adjust a personal aesthetic. However this product being massive, I advise you to choose a wide drip-tip for a homogeneous and harmonious whole.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
Cthulhu did not see fit to provide a leaflet for Hastur, other than short notes under the box. However, the assembly and disassembly, although easy, would have required a few tips, such as the fitting of the notches on the base, the alignment of the parts before assembly, the procedure for filling ... Instead, you You will simply have under the transparent plastic box, some information only in English which specifies the different measures and capacities of the Hastur.
In the box, the packaging is complete with:

- An Allen key
- 2 extra screws
- Many seals
- And an adapter for the passage of a drip-tip in 510 connection

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
This atomizer is quite easy to use. You just have to unscrew the last piece of the atomizer which holds the airflow adjustment ring and the deck. Then release the board by pulling on the 510 connection. Thus, you have on the one hand the deck to build and on the other, the tank to fill. (note: Deck = Plateau)
For filling, although the two slits are long, they remain narrow and require the needle of a syringe. Be careful, if you use a liquid loaded with vegetable glycerin, the filling is perilous and very long. However, to access the assembly, it is not necessary to empty the tank.
For the assembly itself, it's magic. With a plate worthy of a dripper, the diameter of 15.5mm provides a nice working place. The spacing between the two pads and the wire holes allow the use of resistive wires of the Clapton type without any problem in double coil. Incredibly, the deck is equipped with two small tanks under each resistance to let your wick soak up and refuel easily without risking the dry hit and like on drippers, the airholes are in front of the resistors. Be careful not to tilt the ato too much because sometimes the tanks can leak slightly.
When you re-nest your tray, remember to align the pins in the notches to not have a malfunction later.
Disassembling the tank does not present any particular problem, apart from paying close attention to the seal located on the bottom of the chimney. This one tends to fall off and get lost very quickly, its small size and translucent color not really helping to find it.
For the drip-tip, the supplied adapter is great, it extends a few millimeters your atomizer but allows to place the accessory of your choice effectively.
Let's go to the vape: it's a monster! Equipped with a double resistance to 0.3Ω in twisted wire I have steamed over 50 / 60 Watts without any problem with an incredible steam. But what's even more fantastic is the flavors. With a non-fruity liquor like gourmet tobacco, I appreciated the sweet taste and the scents that emerged.
This Hastur is a real dripper with a reserve of liquid that melts visibly but, with its capacity of 7ml, it is still a great feat that the Cthulhu offers us.
On the aesthetic side, I advise you to take a double battery box because once filled, the ato is its weight and the size is rather imposing. I remind you that if the manufacturer announces a diameter of 22mm, this number concerns only the base of the ato and not the rest of its body. Small trick to make, of a less common size, a standard. So be careful, if you plan to insert the Hastur on an eNvy22 or Kato type box, the diameter to remember is rather 23 than 22mm.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The Hastur is a mid-range product but, in terms of build quality and materials, I even think we are below that. On the other hand, for use and rendering, we are above this range. So a balance which confirms the accuracy of its price.
It is an atomizer intended to daily sub-ohm vape on powers of about 50W, with a reserve of liquid that is huge but vaporizes very quickly.
The plateau is ideal for making beautiful montages without any difficulty and behaves like a dripper with two mini tanks under the resistances and two airholes opposite.
On the steam side, a fireplace wouldn't do any better. Side flavor, they will be very good if you consume a liquid that supports the heating. The biggest flaw is the design of the filling poorly suited to liquids loaded with VG.
Overall, it is an interesting product, original, which knew to associate the best tank and dripper.
