Reviewer comments on business characteristics

We are used to seeing at Cthulhu, a few mid-range atomizers for a fairly successful operation. But over time, Cthulhu improves and offers us a topical product, for a very correct price with an honorable quality by unveiling this RDTA atomizer, the Gaia.

Indeed, this Genesis type atomizer with the tank under the plate, has a Velocity deck, which facilitates the assembly and also offers an interchangeable pin screw for a bottom feeder system, a double airflow under the coils and face resistances, to allow a great circulation of air. So the cloud is allowed.

Far from having finished, this Gaia can just as easily be used for a more modest use in order to enjoy your juices by using only the air-holes under the resistors, by reducing the chamber, by screwing the upper part of the top-cap.
Via the bottom feeder screw, no need to know the volume of the liquid reserve, while with the classic screw you have to be content with a capacity of 2ml for this small tank, despite the diameter of 24mm. This product is available in two colors, black or stainless steel.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

The Gaia is mainly made of stainless steel, the base and the top-cap are covered with a black and satin anodized paint. The tank is Pyrex, but its small size and location under the base, does not expose too much to the blows, that said, I guess he fears falls, so no need to test.

The Velocity tray is really practical and large enough to win with beautiful montages. The pads are stable and insulated properly. Some traces of machining are visible but nothing really bad, no edge is sharp. On both sides of the positive pad, two small holes allow you to decompress the tank to avoid dry hits and thus facilitate the capillarity of your locks. The air-holes are raised with respect to the plate and are placed directly under the resistances.

The top-cap is in two parts. They fit together and are held by a seal then they screw and unscrew to reveal the second pair of air-holes which increases the emulsion volume of the atomization chamber and allows a much greater air flow. , in order to dissipate the heat.

In the center of the tank, the axis is provided with two small holes which supply the tank with liquid, by filling it through the hole in the center of the plate, or in bottom feeder, by making the juice go up through the drilled pine.

The two screws of the pin are adjustable to adjust the atomizer on the mod of your choice. We can also see around this pin, the engravings with the name of the atomizer and we also have a serial number.

Each part is well assembled with sufficient gaskets that perfectly ensure the maintenance and tightness of the Gaia components.

  • Positioning of the air regulation: From below and benefiting the resistances
  • Atomization chamber type: Bell type

Reviewer's comments on functional features

The functions of this ato are quite diverse since it can be used for the cloud with a very large production of vapor, but it can also be a good atomizer made to taste and enjoy the flavors of your liquids.

A single atomizer for two features that generally do not fit together and yet Cthulhu did it without major modifications. With the double pair of air-holes, one visible on the lower part of the top-cap and the other which is unveiled by unscrewing the upper part of the top-cap. This also allows you to change the capacity of the room and adjust according to your needs, air circulation.

In addition to this successful feat, the Gaia can also be mounted on a box bottom feeder, thanks to the drilled pine and its hollow shaft, it supplies the reservoir with up to 2ml of liquid, which gives you time to see the dry coming. hit, as much to say that the source can become inexhaustible.

Drip-Tip Features

  • Type of drip-tip attachment: Owner but passage to 510 through a supplied adapter
  • Presence of a Drip-Tip? Yes, the vaper can immediately use the product
  • Length and type of drip-tip present: Short
  • Quality of the present drip-tip: Good

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

The proprietary drip-tip is in Ultem, a material that I particularly like because of its orange-yellow color and transparency that is hardly opaque by the substance. Its shape is classic, quite short and straight, but Ultem is fragile and breaks more easily than other materials.

A white adapter is provided, to reduce opening and to be able to place a common drip-tip in 510 format. This format is quite suitable for a quieter vape, when the assembly does not require power and when the air-holes of the top are closed.

Evaluation of the packaging

  • Would you say that the packaging is up to the price of the product? Yes
  • Presence of a user manual? No
  • Is the manual understandable for a non-English speaker? No

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

The conditioning surprised me, accustomed as I am now to the cardboard box and postformed foam. Cthulhu opted for a packaging that reminds me of some Filipino products.
In addition to the fact that there is no record, yet essential for this Gaia, the box of square shape is covered with fabrics with a cover in burlap. It is solid and closes with a button bound by a large elastic. His style is artisanal and really cute, yet it's an entry-level product.

The interior is just as attractive, with the underside of the cover lined with “velvet”, the Gaia is also lying in this material next to the accessories and the second spare Pyrex tank.

For accessories, you are provided:

- An adapter for the drip-tip in 510 format
- An Allen key
- Spare seals
- Two additional screws for the studs
- a screw for closing the hole in the center of the tray used for filling
- and a BF pin screw drilled in its center

It just lacks a notice but given the box and accessories, we can forgive this lack.

  • Disassembly and cleaning facilities: Easy, even standing in the street, with a simple tissue paper
  • Filling facilities: Easy but requires a workspace
  • Easy to change resistors: Easy but requires a workspace to lose nothing

  • Was there leak after one day of use? No

Vapelier's note on ease of use: 4 / 5 4 5 out of stars

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

Its use is just obvious.

Either you opt for flavors with 2 Kanthal resistors of 0,3mm on a support of 3mm (to have a sufficient amount of capillary) with 9 / 10 turns for a value of 1 Ω. With such an assembly, it requires to keep only the airflow under the resistances with a reduced room, and use the drip-tip adapter with a drip of your collection and enjoy the result:

Very good heat dissipation, appreciable but not exceptional flavors either and incredible ease of assembly. This assembly is not too consuming and the capacity of 2ml is correct, the power is less than 30W and direct inhalation is also possible.

Either you opt for a much more massive sub-ohm assembly to favor the production of a large vapor. On an exotic double coil with a 3mm support for a resistance of 0.3Ω and the 4 wide open air holes, the enlarged chamber I raised the power up to 75 W, Cthulhu's bet is successful, however in chain vape or by increasing the power again, we begin to feel the heat, up to 100W this is a reasonable limit that the Gaia easily supports to remain pleasant. But be careful, because the liquid vaporizes at a breakneck speed. As for my first test, the assembly is there too, very easy to do.

Filling requires a little more attention, the screw in the center of the atomizer is difficult to access and the reservoir is easier to fill with a syringe or the fine tip of a bottle, which can be inserted into a hole for the capillary, then replace its wick correctly.

Another inconvenience with the Gaia when using, it is a bit noisy at the suction. A detail that may be important to some.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

Overall the Gaia is a very good atomizer which is suitable for all users and which offers two different types of vapes, all for a very affordable price and a product offered in a nice artisanal box.

It allows you to use direct or indirect inhalation, the cloud with a large production of vapor or the taste to appreciate the flavor of your liquids. However, the tank only offers a reduced reserve of 2ml but the BF pin allows this atomizer to be mounted on a box of the same type, which greatly increases the reserve capacity in juice. The volume of the combustion chamber is adjustable, the airflows are adjustable… everything is simple.

However, there are limits to all these possibilities because with a power beyond 100W, the ato heats a little too much, a pleasant taste but not extraordinary, except, it is an atomizer which is at the entry level with many strengths it is rare enough to be reported.
