Cthulhu mod offers us a second RDTA which borrows its name from the fantasy world dear to HP Lovecraft.
Definitely, this market sector is establishing itself as one of the most inspiring.
Offered at a price in line with products operating in this category, this Hastur has as its main argument a capacity of 6,7ml of juice.
An interesting advantage when you know the monstrous appetite of these atomizers.
The RDTAs are numerous and L'Hastur will need a little more than this good capacity to seduce.
So on the way to this new quest for big steam and good flavors and see if Hastur is a good companion.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The Hastur adopts a clean, rather neutral design, difficult to find beautiful or ugly.
It looks a bit like a small barrel. Its base is 22 mm, but quickly the profile widens and the diameter goes to 23 from the airflow ring. This measurement extends over the entire length of the Pyrex tank. By the way, the tank is flush, so particularly exposed to shocks.
The shape then tightens at the top-cap to resume the base diameter. The top-cap looks like a cap, we also notice a machined notch. If we pull on the top cap, we find just below this mark, the filling orifice.
The large section Teflon drip-tip crowns L'Hastur.
The 6,5 chimney of internal diameter leaves no doubt when to the vape of predilection of our monster.
By unscrewing the base, we access the deck which is fitted into the bedroom. This deck seems to come straight from an Aromamizer, it shares all the characteristics.
The Hastur displays substantial proportions, but ultimately not that much, when we see the 6,7 ml capacity it displays.
The whole is correct, the machining, the materials seem to me in phase with the price.
Note the relative fineness of certain parts such as the airflow ring, you must be careful not to deform it when handling it.
I will add that the seals are not of an irreproachable quality especially those of the tank, but nothing scandalous.

Reviewer's comments on functional features
A Velocity deck borrowed from Steam Crave, two poles of cubic section and pierced with holes of good diameter, ensure the feasibility of exotic assemblies. The juice arrivals are generous and suggest the possibility of using thick juices.
The filling is carried out as on many competing articles, from the top, it reproduces a system similar to the Crius.
The airflow is easily adjusted using the ring and is precise. We go from very generous to tight, even if I do not think that the atomizer lends itself to a wise vape.
The 510 pin is adjustable and therefore no connection problem.
Nothing really original about technical solutions, we take existing recipes and adapt them.

An imposing Teflon drip-tip, but total connection with the vape suggested by the RDTA. For those who want to put a 510 drip-tip, an adapter is provided. Personally I like the owner's drip-tip and its quality leaves no room for criticism.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
A correct transparent flexible plastic box but which gives me the impression of coming straight from the hardware department at Mr Bricolage. The pack is complete with replacement tank, 510 adapter, Allen keys, screws and gaskets. Unfortunately no instructions, this is something that I find prejudicial, so some will miss the top filling system hidden in the top-cap. It would also be desirable for our moder friends to give us their recommendations, in order to get the best results from their products.
Appreciations in use
- Transport facilities with mod of test configuration: Ok for an inside jacket pocket (no deformations)
- Disassembly and cleaning facilities: Easy but requires a workspace

Personally and obviously I'm not the only one, I had leaks when filling, in fact, to avoid them you have to close the airflows and put the atomizer down, thank you Me Cthulhu for not telling us, hence the interest of a notice. In use, too, I had some leaks, the cotton is not easy to dose.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The assembly of the coils is simple, no problem, we can without problem mount two coils of good diameter.
Cotton is more delicate to dose and according to information found on the net, you must try to slip the tip of your wicks into the holes in the tray (easier said than done), this would prevent some leaks, but to discover this, you have to explore the forums or other sites, again a notice please.
Top filling could have been convenient, if the orifice was not so small a classic vial pipette will not fit, you will need vials with relatively thin tips if you don't want to get your fingers full .
No problem with the AFC, it works.
To conclude, when you get to make it work normally, the vape and very cloudy and quite tasty, it's RDTA, no more hassle than that.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
If Cthulhu had convinced me with the Cthulhu, this very versatile RDTA, it is not the same with L'Hastur. On paper it announces great promises with in particular its 6,7 ml of capacity which suggests a good autonomy. 304 steel, a Teflon drip tip, a Velocity deck and top fill, all the ingredients seemed to come together for a great recipe.
But now, a difficult cotton dosage, a filling opening that is too small, darkens the picture. In the end, a capricious atomizer, easily subject to spillage of juice, the assembly of which will not be within everyone's reach.
A clear and explicit notice could undoubtedly have improved the rating, but as it stands, I cannot recommend it, except for the most seasoned who may be able to tame the beast and take advantage of its beautiful capacity, which remains in my opinion , its only valid asset.
