The Hastur V2S is a small dripper that offers the opportunity to mount on a Box Bottom feeder.
It is an atomizer that seems pretty interesting for all those who seek a good compromise between price, quality and versatility.
Indeed for less than 30 euros this dripper with a plateau type velocity facilitates editing and has a pin interchangeable to fit the box bottom feeder.
Its tank is deep and the space offered allows to make large assemblies or coils of large diameters.
Its diameter remains standard with 22mm and its very sober appearance makes it a little austere, so the animal is not shy and will surprise you.
At the same time I tested on this atomizer a resistive wire alloy, the Cotton Bacon Comp Wrap, it is a kit that includes a bag of cotton bacon with a wire composed of Nichrome and Kanthal.
I will develop its strengths, below, in the use of the product.

Composed of only three pieces of stainless steel and a drip-tip delrin, this little dripper and of sufficient quality because the material is rather reduced.
The cape has two wide openings 12mm x 2mm, placed on the top of the piece and covers a specially cut ring to direct the airflow as for fins.
On this ring the material is partly thick and consolidates well so that it does not deform at the slightest shock.
The tray type Velocity, offers a large tank that can hold about 1.5ml liquid, which is very comfortable, especially since this atomizer can also be associated with a box BF thanks to its pierced, interchangeable and adjustable pin, provided in the pack. Between the studs we have a spacing of 5mm to build rather broad coils since from one axis to the other the size is 10mm.
The machining of the stainless steel is correct as the insulation of the positive block which is done through a PEEK insulation.
The drip-tip is in delrin with an internal opening of 12mm, combined with a thickness of 2mm, it allows to strongly dissipate the heat of the coils.
Under the atomizer you can read the name of dripper: HASTUR V2S with a serial number. Laser engraving quite apparent.
The only downside on this atomizer is the two joints on the base that are not of excellent quality and provide a support too fair.

The Hastur has a judiciously cut ring to intelligently direct the steam to the middle of the atomizer to bring maximum flavor by concentrating the air on the center. Thus, the suction has both the density of the vapor and the concentrated aromas.
It makes it possible very easily to realize a double coil with resistives thick of more than 0.6mm.
And above all, it dissipates the heat very well.
Its pine is changed and adjusted according to the box used, classic or BF.
The airflow is variable and offers a large opening for a direct suction or a more moderate opening depending on the mounting or the power applied, however it is not possible to have only one side of open (or closed).

The Hastur comes with a proprietary drip-tip in black delrin, which offers a large internal opening of 12mm in diameter. The thickness of this drip-tip is fleshy with 2mm but it finishes very well the atomizer with a rather short size of 7mm.
This drip-tip perfectly dissipates the heat associated with its design, so the steam is not burning.
We also have the option to put a standard drip-tip of our choice with an 510 connection thanks to the adapter that is supplied. It too is in black delrin and significantly reduces the amount of air for a more conventional vaping or inhalation with less power.

Cthulhu offers us as usual a simple and discreet packaging. In a transparent plastic box, filled with a protective foam, we will find the HasturV2S nicely wedged. accompanied by the atomizer, and a sachet comprising:
- A delrin adapter
- An Allen key
- Four transparent joints
- 1 BF pin (pierced in its center)
- And two spare BTR screws
Ordinary packaging, for a fair price, alas there is no notice.
Appreciations in use
- Transport facilities with mod of test configuration: Ok for an inside jacket pocket (no deformations)

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The use is basically quite simple: Make a double coil, position the openings of the ring facing the resistances then set the course and steam!
I tried various montages but the most powerful is the double coil. On this occasion I also tried the resistive Cotton Bacon Comp Wrap.
It's a kit that includes a bacon cotton bag with Nichrome and Kanthal alloy wire. It has the advantage of having a resistivity close to the kanthal, with the flexibility of nickel. It is also a resistive that reacts a little faster than the kanthal and keeps a constant and durable heating, however it is necessary that the resistance achieved has balanced turns, either tightly or equitably spaced so that the heating is done uniformly .
The assembly executed uses a 26 Gauges (0.4mm) wire on a 3.5mm support with 10 double-coiled turns for a total value of 0.4Ω with a vape power of 45W.
Given the ring, it is important to separate the wicks under the resistor to allow the vapor to flow freely to the center of the atomizer. So steam and flavors will be much better.
For the cloud, no worries, this atomizer supports larger fixtures with a resistive wire of larger diameter, to mount your powerful vape. On the other hand, the more "soft" montages will also have excellent results to taste your liquids or to vape according to your habits.
The airflow is easy to adjust by rotating the top but again it is the two air-holes that will reduce or open simultaneously.
The BF system works perfectly without overflow and without leakage with a large enough bowl that allows a large feed.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The Hastur V2S, although of a classic appearance, offers good performance at a very affordable price.
Versatile, it works with a double coil easy to mount thanks to its plateau type velocity.
The BF pin adapts perfectly to associate with a box that uses this way to vape.
The two important things are: the position of the air-holes facing the resistors and the clear space under the resistances for the air circulation.
Thus you will get a great result in both high power and moderate values.
Unlike its big brother the Hastur RDTA which works very well but whose quality seemed too fair, our RDA does not show this problem. It is a very good product with a quality / price ratio that is not even discussed. The only negative point remains on the quality of the seals, which in any case can be changed for a ridiculous sum… but still.
