Comments on the packaging

The Italians of Flavor Art are not newcomers in the field of design / production of e-liquids.
Already distributed in France, Absotech, distributor for France, ensures its representation and the widest distribution.

Regarding our potion of the day, we will focus on a variation of the Artist's Touch range; the Up.
Packaged in a 10 ml bottle of transparent plastic, it has a thin tip at the end, forming an integral part of the original cap that I have never encountered until now.
The nicotine levels also upset our habits a little since 4,5 and 9 mg/ml are offered, without omitting the reference without nicotine or the highest in 18 mg/ml.

The PG/VG ratio is set at 50/40, with the remaining 10% devoted to nicotine, flavors and distilled water.

The price is 5,50 € the 10 ml, to appear in the category of entry-level.

Vapelier's note regarding the respect of various conformities (except religious): 4.13 / 5 4.1 5 out of stars

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

The manufacturer claims certification in accordance with the ISO 8317 standard, indicating compliance with the legislation and directives in force.
It should be noted, however, that if this is valid for the bottle, from January 1, 2017, this will no longer be enough, the labeling will have to be reviewed.
I also let myself be told that a new cap, much more classic, would replace the current one, which I consider to be of perfectible security… to be seen…

To the question of our protocol concerning the presence of clear pictograms on the label. I answered no. If the only one actually displayed is finally the only mandatory one, I find it well isolated in a list which, if it mentions the regulatory aspects, is rather illegible, loaded, leaving the impression of being there only because it is an obligation.

Notwithstanding these remarks, we should nevertheless underline the effort of the brand to offer juices without alcohol and other prohibited substances. A DLUO and a batch number as well as the coordinates of the place of manufacture and those of distributions.

Let's give back to César… Since my last reviews of the brand's products, I have noticed that Absotech, which represents Flavor Art in France, has redesigned its website. In addition to being much better “fichu” and clearer, we are now offered potion safety sheets.
This is a great initiative that it is normal to note and welcome in these times when the safety of e-liquids is essential and welcome.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in line with the price category: Could do better for the price

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 4.17 / 5 4.2 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

Legislation and the size of packaging are constraints that some manufacturers are more successful in eliminating.
The result of the Flavor Art packaging won't win the prize for attractiveness, but the job is done.

On my copy received in 4,5 mg/ml of nicotine, I am entitled to the cap color (dark blue) reserved for the higher dosage. Occasional error or lack of rigor during the traffic jam? This misunderstanding concerns the entire Artist's Touch range that was sent to me as well as a few others of the different variations...

Sensory appreciations

  • Color and product name agree ?: Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree ?: Yes
  • Definition of smell: Coffee
  • Definition of taste: Sweet, Pastry, Coffee, Alcoholic
  • The taste and the name of the product, do they agree ?: Yes
  • Did I like this juice ?: Yes
  • This liquid reminds me: Nothing specific… in terms of vape but an Irish coffee or Baileys

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 5/5 5 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

This time the percentage of aromas is a little more important or are they simply stronger.
Still, this Up is more easily identifiable than those little friends that I previously evaluated.

At the olfactory level the coffee is obvious and accompanied by an alcohol. I would rate the latter as whiskey. I have the impression of smelling an Irish coffee or Baileys…
Let's see the description of the flavourists to check if we are on the right track.
The manufacturer announces a gourmet cream dessert, coffee, cereals with touches of alcohol.

The vape confirms this description. The top note is coffee. Without bitterness, just a little sweet, it brings out its aspect of grilled grain and its delicate roasting.
I don't find it particularly greedy even if at times I seem to perceive chocolate reminiscences.
Unless the role of gluttony is held by this sensation, where it mixes a slightly creamy aspect, which reminds me of these famous whiskey creams to be enjoyed in moderation.
For cereals, if the role is played by the alcohol quoted, that seems normal to me. If on the other hand it is the one with the more pastry and gourmet evocation, I did not detect it.

The whole is coherent. Despite a relatively modest aromatic power and a too fleeting mouthfeel, this recipe is pleasantly vape.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 30 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Normal (type T2)
  • Type of hit obtained at this power: Light
  • Atomizer used for the review: Dripper Zénith & Aromamizer V2 RDTA
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.74
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kanthal, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

To evaluate this juice, the use of an RDA device seemed essential to me.
I nevertheless wanted to check my impressions on an ato tank and this time I opted for an RDTA.
The weakness in the percentage of aromas is still felt… even if I note an improvement compared to other recipes as already mentioned in this review.

My mood ticket on this juice

Here I am reassured. Flavor Art knows how to make potions that are realistic and precise in terms of evoking flavors.
Is that after half a dozen juices tested, I began to doubt it. Between blends lacking precision, consistency and quite simply aromatic power, I was beginning to despair a little. I'm not talking about the taste, because this characteristic is far too subjective and I haven't come across any “bad” variations. No, I'm talking more about the faculty that the flavorists have in the choice, the assembly, the quality and the dosage of the different flavors.

The Up takes up the gauntlet. Its taste, its vape are pleasant. The recipe faithfully evokes the description proposed by the manufacturer. The mix is balanced, the alchemy is quite believable.
The aromatic power is still modest and the potion only delivers its flavors on material with a “sharp” flavor rendering. But the result is there.

At €5,50 for a 10ml vial, there's no harm in indulging yourself.

Long live the vape and live the free vape,

About the Author

Follower of the tobacco vape and rather "tight" I do not balk in front of good greedy clouders. I love flavor-oriented drippers but am very curious about the evolutions of our common passion for personal vaporizers. Good reasons to make my modest contribution here, no?
