In the family of RTA Hurricane atomizers, the “V2” version is a star. A distinguished, worked look, which gives it a very refined look but, at the same time, this atomizer has remained “humble” by capturing the style of the RTA Junior. Indeed, if the assembly remains the same in the two references, the body of the atomizer is here interchangeable with a racy body in stainless steel with a capacity of 3ml, or a more modest body in polycarbonate with a capacity of 2ml to identical to the Hurricane Junior.
Is this atomizer within the reach of all vapers? A priori, in single coil I should answer yes but, given the number of parts and the quantity of seals, you have to know about it so as not to fall into the trap of leaks and dry hits. However, the PMMA cap overcomes this drawback in the event that you have some mounting problems with the various parts and gaskets.
A gold-plated adjustable platter and pin ensure excellent conductivity, a positive stud with a hole in the center ensures air circulation. Its diameter is fixed but two other studs with holes of different diameters are delivered to reduce or enlarge it according to your needs. On the base, the ring allows to position the airflow and the arrival of the liquid can be adjusted accordingly.
E-phoenix has thought of everything, since this atomizer, despite all the parts to assemble, can also be very simple. Two things are invariable: its base and its plate which remain identical, So what type of vape does the Hurricane V2 offer? For those who know the Hurricane Junior, I would say that it is the same type of vape with a few additional options provided by the plugs provided and for the connoisseurs, it is a Taifun vape. Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The Hurricane V2 uses the same lower part as the Hurricane Junior, in stainless steel, wonderfully crafted with a brass plate covered with a thin layer of gold which ensures contacts while ensuring this capacity without oxidation. This also allows better stability of the resistive value. The machining of the tray is excellent and the interchangeable positive stud has a hole in its center, cut in such a way that the air circulation is directed towards the opening which is located on the base and under the tray. Thus, the airflow is used to the best and there is no hissing at the suction.
Each part of the body of the atomizer is made of stainless steel except for the Pyrex tank which is well protected while leaving a good visibility on the reserve of liquid. Each stainless steel element has been worked with precision and meticulousness and it is an observation that is felt when assembling the parts with threads perfectly functional and without any defect.
On the other hand, I found the quality of some joints disappointing. Indeed, for this atomizer, besides the large number of elements, the amount of joints is equally impressive, but there is one in particular which is very thin, which is deformed and on which I have doubts about the reliability. Others have a quality just sufficient but reasonable.
For the Hurricane Junior look, the polycarbonate tank does not satisfy me insofar as this product is an expensive product, the material is therefore too modest for my taste and the Makrolon® (high performance polymer) would have been more appropriate. However the thickness is sufficient to maintain a suitable life or not be attacked by too aggressive liquids. This style also offers an undeniable ease of use with fast assembly without the risk of leaks or dry hits.
The engravings on both sides of the base are made by laser. Very pretty, we can read for one "E-Phoenix" and for the other "SWISS MADE" with the drawing of a phoenix but no serial number.
The pin is in the continuity of the quality of the contacts since it is a gold-plated screw which maintains the plate at its base, while ensuring the insulation between the positive and the negative correctly.
The studs maintain the resistance by one screw each. These screws have a good size and sufficient size to fix a resistive large diameter.
Overall it is a product of very good quality, sober and elegant, but there is absolutely a seal to be reviewed, ad minimum.

The functional characteristics are a family history, heredity has marked the Hurricanes which are mainly oriented on the taste.
The airflow, fits on the base with a single opening of 14mm x 2mm associated with an air-hole on the tray that is interchangeable. Thus this Hurricane is much more precise and more flexible than these predecessors. Similarly, depending on the viscosity of your liquid, the liquid flow can be adjusted independently of the airflow.
The assembly is very simple with only one resistance to achieve. This must nevertheless remain around 1Ω to maintain a homogeneity and a balance between the chimney unit / combustion chamber which remain restricted, with an airflow and a moderate liquid flow, all to keep nice round and concentrated flavors. .
The filling is simple but it is not the most practical, although the opening is large enough when unscrewing the top-cap, its lateral position forces to tip the atomizer, with a slower flow that does not is not very convenient.

The drip-tip is in stainless steel, of a suitable diameter, it is very sober and thin. It finishes the atomizer correctly but in view of the overall size I would have opted for a more flared drip-tip. It lacks a bit of charm and remains very banal in appearance, nevertheless, it is certain that its presence is always appreciated and indispensable.

At this price, the packaging is a bit weak, in a small black scabbard box, of course, no need to put foam to wedge everything. Once the atomizer is out of the box, it's up to you to calculate how to put it back because it's so narrow. Let's see it on the bright side, it takes up little space.
In the box, we find this beautiful Hurricane V2, with the Hurricap mini polycarbonate, the ring associated with this cap to adjust the flow of juice, 2 additional trays with a different airhole diameter, two spare screws and very many joints.
I note the effort that was made for this Hurricane V2 with a NOTICE ... Yes, a real notice on an atomizer, finally! Joy that remains somewhat contained since this manual is only in English but full of drawings that perfectly illustrate some steps and allow understanding whatever your language. I really welcome this beautiful effort too rare, but nevertheless more than indispensable on such a product, which has no less than eleven elements once mounted.
This is not to be fussy but I would have liked to find in this manual, an exploded view of the atomizer with the neat location of parts and joints that ensure proper assembly and sealing. Because for a misplaced joint, I found myself with an insecure tank, huge leaks and I took a long time to find the location of the joints that fell when I dismantled the ato, as well as the direction of assembly of certain pieces, even if this is obvious to the designer.
E-Phoenix is on the right track for this packaging that I approve with this explanatory note and the number of accessories available.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
In use, the manipulations should be childish, but can also be very complicated.
The lower part is common to the two different looks offered. For the assembly of the resistance, which is located in the center of the atomizer, the place allows a coil assembly from a support (resistive) between 2 and 3mm in diameter. The resistive value should have a value between 0.7 and 2Ω, which allows you to use Kanthals of different diameters. Unfortunately the fused type resistive is not the most suitable because it hinders the air circulation inside the chamber and does not restore the flavors correctly, it is quickly saturated and the taste becomes mediocre.
Once the resistance is fixed, the position of the cotton must be careful because this capillary must fall back on the plate while filling the notches of the ring positioned in front of it. Also be careful that the cotton does not protrude from the notches so as not to hinder the circular movement of the juice flow adjustment which is done, either by a part inside the Pyrex tank, or by the second ring delivered in the pack if you want to use the polycarbonate cap.
An operation which is not really complicated but which requires time and attention because a bad “cotton” can cause leaks or cause the chimney to rotate, in the event that the cotton sticks out and thus hinders the circular movement for the tube. liquid adjustment. Also remember to soak your wick.
If you want the Hurricane junior style, no problem, filling the cap is done to the limit of the chimney, then just screw the tray on, to replace your atomizer to the place, it's ready.
For the other style, it is also very easy, screwing the plate on the tank and stainless steel parts. Filling requires closing the airflow on the base, and the flow of the liquid by rotating the heading clockwise. Once the flow is closed, simply hold the ridged ring located just above the Pyrex and unscrew counterclockwise, the cap which obstructs the opening of the filling. With the filling done, you can now close and open the air and liquid inlets.
A fairly simple use in short, but things can get tough when you want to clean this atomizer, because the number of parts and especially the joints is important. I advise you to take a few photos during disassembly and especially to keep in mind that the pyrex tank must be maintained. Because if your gaskets are badly placed, the ridged ring does not properly fix the pyrex and the seal is no longer guaranteed.
On the vape side, it is a pleasure to have in the mouth a superb atomizer such as the Hurricane V2 with flavors suitable for an everyday vape, but it is certain that this atomizer also requires many manipulations that will be necessary master to enjoy all the intricacies of its operation.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
A Hurricane V2 which has managed to combine refinement and humility with two distinct appearances: one in Pyrex stainless steel or one in PMMA with two different capacities for the same base. But also two opposing complexities of use, quick and simple in one case while the other requires more time and handling.
For the part common to both appearances, it is the placement of the capillary which requires more attention than the construction of the assembly which is ultimately very easy. For the part of the body of the atomizer, it is the filling of the pyrex tank which requires some additional efforts without being too demanding. But it is when cleaning and reassembling this Hurricane V2 that handling can be complex and the risk of error, faced with a large number of gaskets and parts, can be certain, especially for a novice.
Yet a record including an exploded view of the atomizer with all the elements positioned, would limit this risk, because side vape, it is a real taste pleasure that awaits you.
However, who says taste says to stay on resistances of average value around 1Ω, to keep appreciable flavors. The exotic arrangements, although possible, obstruct the air circulation to the point of saturating the taste of your liquids.
An atomizer of an excellent quality of execution which offers a beautiful rendering of vape daily, but the animal, besides expensive, requires a moment of adaptation and understanding for this result.
