Smokerstore, with its Taifun, has become a real benchmark in vaping. Who has not had their Taifun, original or clone, everyone has had this so specific vaping atomizer.
Rather tight and very tasty, the vape of Taifun is devote a form of worship.
The first two GTs are still very present in the vaping landscape, but it is certain that the attraction that many of us show for very airy vaping, should have prompted a reaction from the German moderator.
It is therefore an Air version of the GT2 that Smokerstore offers us. A more airy version, for which the airflows have been doubled compared to the classic version.
I am one of the fans of the air vape, even very airy, which took me away from this type of atomizer, so will the GT Air be suitable for a convinced sub-vaper?

This new Taifun immediately stands out. And it is not only because of its consequent size, size by the way, which allows it to carry 5ml. Its design is inspired by an architectural form, like a small building pierced with rectangular windows placed in staggered rows. The base is recognizable among a thousand, there is also a backward compatibility with the GT2 model.
At its summit sits “the Drip-Tip”! He is imposing, very stocky, he inspires the strong. The couple it forms with the atomizer is just perfect.
Of course, the quality is top notch, both in terms of machining and the materials used.
At the same time, you have to justify the 145 € of this baby 100 grams.
At first glance, I like this Taifun. The design renews the genre without breaking the codes established with the first versions. A bit like at Porsche, with its 911, we renew, but out of the question to abandon the original lines.

He's a Taifun, and if you've ever had a model like that, well, it “behaves” the same.
The assembly station, the bell system, have not changed since the very beginning of the range.
The filling system does not change either, obviously Smokerstore does not want to adopt, like the majority of manufacturers today, top filling.
The only change: the airflow, a 3 mm chimney placed under the coil, fed by about twenty small holes, double the GT2 version. A perfectly functional metal ring allows precise adjustment of the airflow.
There is no real big news on this Air version, just a very small evolution, to try to regain the hearts of vapers who have given in to the song of direct inhalation.

The drip tip is a very nice piece. Imposing, we imagine at the beginning an enormous diameter of chimney. But in fact, no, the drip-tip has a large diameter over the entire length of the tube. But at the level of the connection, it tightens suddenly to resume a more modest diameter.
Nevertheless, it is very beautiful and well suited to the vape offered by the Taifun. In addition, the quality of the machining makes it very pleasant in the mouth.
If Smokerstore wants to make me one with a larger base that can be adapted to my Griffin I am fine.

The wooden box that Smokerstore has adopted for all its products is super nice. The design is elegant, modern and classic at the same time, it's nickel.
By cons when we open ??? Your precious atomizer is walking happily in a nest of shavings, OK, it's a wooden case like an antique transport, I think it's a bit stingy. A small bag of “spares parts”, including the plastic tube to reduce the diameter of the chimney, which still offers a possibility of refining its airflow adjustment.
A business card, but no instructions, no assembly recommendations, I find that a bit of a shame, even if we know, I would really like to find precise instructions more often. In short, it's very good, but I still expect a little more from the German manufacturer, especially as European trade regulations require manufacturers (or distributors) of devices in contact with an electrical source, to add instructions for use to their products, let it be said, the forthcoming repression is not going to give any recalcitrant gifts. .

I will not dwell on the filling, it has not changed since the first model, we unscrew, we turn the tank and we put juice anywhere, except in the chimney.
Assembly coil and simple, only the dosage of cotton may not be successful at first, at least for first time buyers, connoisseurs will feel confident from the beginning.
The capacity offers good autonomy, especially as our atomizer has a reasonable consumption compared to atomizers resulting from the RDTA phenomenon.
The vape does not evolve in an incredible way, the atomizer is certainly a little more aerial than the predecessor, but it is not the kingdom of Aeolus either. At the very least, it will remain a semi-aerial vape. But it works, we find this precise vape in the flavors, although reasonable in volume of vapor. This little air intake allows someone like me to come back to this brand and rediscover “Taif Vape” without too much difficulty.
A very good atomizer that we can not fault much. Although I would have liked a little more substantial airflow max.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The Taifun GT2 Air did not convince me straight away. Seeing the base I told myself that the name “Air” seemed a bit exaggerated to me. We double the flow of the airflow, but that's all, technically therefore, difficult to think that this is enough to convince me to give up my super air atomizers.
After a few moments, this sculptural physique inspired, in my opinion, by modern architecture, seduced me. Especially since the quality is at the top. At the same time, at 145 balls it can still be beautiful!
But when you start to vape on it, you immediately remember what you like about the Taifun. A precise vape on the rendering of flavor, with a significant autonomy in juice.
If the air supply is still, in my opinion, a little limited, it still allows air vaping enthusiasts to re-taste this very special vape, ”offered” by the German star.
Yes, Taifun has a soul, and Smokerstore will not betray it with a version open to the four winds, which would undoubtedly distort the original vape of this atomizer. I'm sure brand aficionados will be thrilled.
So, not sure that you are all going to give up € 145 for this trip with “old School” accents, but we have to admit that this Taifun Air version remains a Top Ato.
