Comments on the packaging

Today, we are valiantly attacking the review of the complete range of the 7 Deadly Sins from Phodé Laboratories, a range already well known to vapers and which has received a critical and public reception of the most laudatory.

The first liquid we are going to examine is “Avarice”. Too bad to start with this one whose name does not bode well. I would have preferred to start with Luxure, it's sexier, but I was slack today 🙄.

The packaging is like what you would expect from a large laboratory. Very dark and frosted glass bottle, pipette end thin enough to cope with the vagaries of filling. Mentions of the PG / VG ratio and nicotine level and especially the presence of a very original cardboard box, containing all the legal and taste information. This box is, moreover, triangular in shape, which is rare enough to be mentioned.

A good start, my faith. Quickly next.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

It is often in this chapter that we recognize the seriousness of a manufacturer. Especially in this pre-TPD era where all the players in the vape are trying to organize themselves to resist the impact of it.

Here there is simply nothing to complain about. Everything is present, nothing is missing. Including the triangle for the visually impaired which, although located below the label, feels good to the touch. Such a performance could only obtain a perfect score. It is, and I add my personal congratulations. Bravo Phodé, it's a strike!

It is also strange to note that for a juice reputed to be stingy, it can be so generous in terms of information. I note, in particular, a pictogram indicating the size of the pipette tip. The devil is sometimes hiding in the details. Here, it is rather an angel and especially not stingy!

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: Yes

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 5 / 5 5 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

The first good surprise lies in the presence of a pretty box in the shape of a triangle which ensures a nice presentation of the liquid while dwelling on a very precise informative content.

If we add to this a very dark, almost opaque glass bottle, which we imagine useful for filtering UV rays from light, we realize that the manufacturer has intelligently mixed the useful and the pleasant.

Then, we find a label on a white background, presenting us a man equipped with a top hat, who we imagine to be the miser described by the name, surrounded by a field of wheat for the monetary symbolism . It's pretty, getting classic aesthetic treatment in a good way. One would think oneself returned to the days of newspaper illustrations from the beginning of the twentieth century or even a drawing of a playing card, with the vertical mirror of man.

The name of the range appears in relief on a glossy pellet.

It's pretty, simple and tasteful. And once again very generous for a self-proclaimed stingy!

Sensory appreciations

  • Color and product name agree ?: Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree?: No
  • Definition of smell: Vanilla, Sweet, Pastry
  • Definition of taste: Sweet, Pastry, Vanilla
  • The taste and the name of the product, do they agree ?: Yes
  • Did I like this juice ?: Yes
  • This liquid reminds me of: The Thing of French-Liquid, less complex.

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 3.75/5 3.8 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

During the puff, we take full mouth a massive and realistic dose of cereal. You can smell wheat, but also, no doubt, oats or another similar plant specimen. Then, a biscuit sensation sets in for a long time. A shortbread cookie, slightly vanilla, which sometimes lets out some curls of blond caramel.

If the recipe seems simple, it is nonetheless very balanced and addictive. Sweet, but without excess, Avarice is a juice that you can vape for a long time without experiencing nauseating sensations. On the contrary, coming back to it resets the experience each time and you are always surprised to find what you appreciated during the first contact.

A good liquid that does not lie and that brilliantly keeps the gourmet promises he offered us.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 20 W
  • Type of vapor obtained at this power: Dense
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Medium
  • Atomizer used for the review: Taïfun GT2, Cyclone AFC
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.8
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Stainless steel, Fiber Freaks D2

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Due to its viscosity (PG / VG 60/40), this juice is clearly not intended for power-vapers. On the other hand, all lovers of gourmet and cereal flavors will be in heaven, especially if they use an appropriate material that will allow the flavors to exhale.

The viscosity of Avarice also allows it to be vaporized on a “normal” clearomizer, such as Nautilus and its aromatic power is sufficient to allow it to exist in this type of material, or even in aerial atomizers. In any case, don't expect excessive vapor, this liquid is not made for that. Its hit is also average because its goal is rather to seduce by its roundness and its greedy aspects.

In terms of temperature, it should be consumed rather warm / hot in order to exacerbate the gluttony it contains.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of the day: Morning, Morning - coffee breakfast, Morning - chocolate breakfast, End of lunch / dinner with coffee, All afternoon during everyone's activities, End of the evening with or without herbal tea
  • Can this juice be recommended as an All Day Vape: Yes

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.38 / 5 4.4 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

Regarding Avarice, I had rather stayed on the piece “L'Avare” by Molière where Harpagon was chasing his famous “cassette” that he thought he had been stolen.

None of this in this juice, which definitely bears its name badly in view of the generosity it shows, both in terms of its bottles and packaging and in terms of its taste benefits which will satisfy lovers of light delicacies.

So we start the series of 7 Deadly Sins. I promise, tomorrow, I'll tackle Lust but tonight, I'm going to go to rest to be in shape for this challenge.
