Comments on the packaging

When it comes to fruity liquids, one of the greatest virtues for true amateurs is undoubtedly the search for realism. And credible liquids, the Fruitiz range from Mixup Labs offered us a few. Which is not so easy considering that people often have tastes that lead them towards very sweet things.

The Basque liquidator serves us today a fairly well-known duo in the world of vaping, a Cassis Citron. As a general rule, we find in this interpretation a limoncello lengthened with a dash of blackcurrant syrup. What will it be here? We will see it later.

Like the whole collection, the liquid is based on an entirely vegetable base in a 50/50 ratio. The principle is simple. Instead of propylene glycol of petrochemical origin, a propylene glycol is substituted, derived from rapeseed for example, and extracted from… vegetable glycerin. So we stay in the family. This one is softer in the throat while fulfilling exactly the same functions as its petroleum counterpart. Plus, it's eco-responsible.

The 70 ml bottle accommodates 50 ml of overdosed liquid which can easily be extended by 10 to 20 ml of neutral or nicotine base. You will thus have, at your choice, 60 or 70 ml of liquid ready to vape between 0 and 6 mg/ml of nicotine.

For those who have more nicotine needs, know that there is also a 10 ml format dosed at 0, 3, 6, 12 and 16 mg / ml HERE for 5.90 €. The large version is displayed for 19.90 €. In both cases, we are in the average price of the category.

Comments on the packaging

The design is completely in the usual spirit of the Fruitiz range. It is adorned with a dark purple background to illustrate the blackcurrant and presents the two protagonists of the liquid in a well-done design.

It's pretty, informative and, if not having great artistic ambitions, sufficiently rewarding and well finished to be attractive.

Comments on the taste of the juice

What strikes first in the tasting of Cassis Lemon is a great sweetness which is also common to the other items in the range. However, by using blackcurrant and lemon, one could have expected a very astringent liquid, even very acid, it is not so.

The black berry opens the door in the mouth with great taste acuity. She is soft, therefore, rather Wellington. A large, sweet black grain without excess and devoid of acidity. It is expressed with precision however and retains a bit of presence as the puff evolves.

Then a lemon gently takes its place and adds a citrus note to the liquid. It sparkles pleasantly in the mouth but is also sweet, like a lemon from Menton, which has become too rare today. It envelops the blackcurrant and imparts a more vegetal taste to the whole recipe.

A discreet cloud of freshness adds pep to the blend and reinforces the realistic aspect of the recipe.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Given its viscosity, you can vape it in all possible atomization devices. Pods including. Give it a little air but without being excessive in order to preserve the taste acuity.

Despite the correct aromatic power, I recommend that you only add 10 ml of booster or base to it in order to preserve its taste and nuances.

It remains perfectly possible throughout the day thanks to its very contained sugar level and its absence of acidity.

My mood ticket on this juice

A great success that the Cassis Citron from Mixup Labs that we owe to its perfect balance between the gourmet side of blackcurrant and the refreshing presence of sweet lemon.

A liquid to recommend to lovers of realistic fruitiness that it will not disappoint, haloing itself with a very discreet plume of freshness to emulate the youthfulness of the fruits.

A Top Vapelier for a fair e-liquid with a special mention for an excellent blackcurrant aroma.
