We are in 2016 after Jesus Christ. All of France is occupied by Power-vapers… Any? No ! Because a village populated by irreducible Flavor-Chasers still resists the vapor!
Friends of taste, flavor, precision and fullness, you have come to the right place! Because today, we dissect the Alpha RTA of the Greek moderator Atmomixani. So, we are already sure of two things: the object will be beautiful and perfectly finished and it will be worth its weight in peanuts! Won on both counts.
So, we are in the presence of an RTA atomizer (rebuildable with tank) which accepts only simple coils (Finally one!) And which is intended for a cushy vape, below 20 / 25W and for juices reaching at maximum a ratio of 30/70 in PG / VG. It will also accept 100% VG juices but you will run into a power limit of around 20W at this point so as not to risk dry-hits.
A gentleman who presents well is enticing. Now let's see if he's hiding a Grand Duke or an Arsène Lupine.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The finish is flawless as always with Atmomixani. The master's paw can be seen in every nook and cranny of the atomizer, wherever you look. Brushed steel finish for the test copy, precise engraving of a wolf (the alpha male certainly) on the internal bell, use of brass to drive the positive, every detail has been taken care of so as to leave nothing to chance.
The O-rings are excellent, perhaps too much for the pyrex tank (be careful to equip your ato with the appropriate seals if you use this choice, because you have the choice). The threads should make school because they are machined to perfection, it is a must and this type of artisanal finish pays off. 135 € the end, it's expensive. If we compare it to high-end industrial atomizers on the market, it is still competitive, which tends to demonstrate that we can find an excellent moderator at a price equivalent to industrial prices. And so much the better.
For this price however, the Alpha comes with two tanks: the first in PMMA and the second in Pyrex. It's up to you to make your choice taking into account the type of liquid you are vaping (destructive for plastic or not) and your choice of juice autonomy because, with the pyrex tank, we lose a little volume (about 3ml) to 2.6ml). Indeed, the PMMA tank benefits from a bulge on its middle part absent on the pyrex tank.

Reviewer's comments on functional features
The Alpha is a bottom-coil atomizer (the resistance is located on the bottom of the ato). The board accepts only one resistance and is two-story. The first will allow you to mount your coil thanks to the two dedicated pads for this purpose. Note that the two holes for the resistive wire on the two pads are not at the same height, which makes it possible to quickly and easily create a horizontal coil. The second stage is a platform on which the two cavities draining liquids land. This is where you can install your cotton. Although other types of editing are possible, the one planned by the moderator completely suited and convinced me.
The airflow is adjusted by turning the lower ring which allows a choice between 1, 2 or 3 holes. The airflow is then directed internally below the resistance to benefit it at best.
The bell in itself is already a nice trick of ingenuity. It does not screw on the tray, it is just posed and holds thanks to the insertion of a metal part resembling a nail which holds it while keeping it mobile (sliding) for about 3mm. Then, the top cap is screwed on the top of the chimney of the bell. This system has a definite advantage. As the atomizer fills from above, when unscrewing the top-cap, the bell is released and automatically goes into the low position. It can no longer accept liquid and creates a sealed environment for filling, without there being a depression conducive to an invasion of the liquid on the plate, then in the airflow circuit and of course, on your fingers. It's simple, mechanical and it works very well. And this deflection also makes it possible to ensure that the cotton is always correctly soaked by the liquid. Well seen !

No drip-tip provided…. It's a shame and a bit petty. I personally hate “kit factories” where we still have to invest X € + Y € + Z € before it works. However, it wouldn't be a big deal to provide a homemade drip-tip.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The packaging is a joke compared to the price of the product. No instructions, a blue velvet pouch at 0.10 cent stamped with the image of the brand whose serigraphy is made the trunk just by looking at it, two O-rings typed for the pyrex tank (if this had been indicated on a instructions, that would have undoubtedly avoided me to break it by trying to fit it with the original gaskets ... 😡), a spare “nail” and an allen key which will be useful for you to cleanse your Zen or, once every April 31, release the airflow ring from the base.
Nothing really exciting about this packaging, except, all the same, the presence of two tanks, one in PMMA, the other in Pyrex. It's party time in the village ! At this price, there is something to cough.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The editing is childish:
- The plate is well dimensioned and allows to make assemblies of any type (microcoil, classic coil) on a diameter which could reach 3.5mm. Likewise, the fairly large holes on the pads allow the easy passage of fairly thick resistive wire. Of course, we don't have an atomizer here to make big clouds so, even if the possibility exists, I urge you not to opt for resistances lower than 0.8Ω, it will not be useful.
- The overhang of the tray we were talking about above therefore allows you to properly wedge your capillary and I have not had any problems with dry-hits with this method provided you do the right dosage, as with any atomizer. But I have not tested liquids with a VG content greater than 70%. For the acceptance of liquids in 100% VG, you will have to opt for a hybrid assembly using the overflow and a cotton nest on the top of the tray so that the resistance can be accessible to the most fatty liquids. This assembly is explained to you by Sylvie here. I preferred to opt, personally, for the classic version that I found more loaded in flavors.
The rendering is fabulous:
- All the aromas are perfectly restored, the vape is soft but saturated with flavors. We find a rendering close to the Taifun GT first of the name. To my taste (do not get upset), it exceeds an atomizer like the Hurricane for example.
- Despite its vocation as a flavor machine, the Alpha delivers a very dense, very white vapor, which is thick in the mouth. At around 20W, we still have beautiful clouds. Higher up, it's off-piste, let's not forget that we are here on a quiet and tasty vape.
- The airflow oscillates between very tight and less tight. This is definitely not an ato for aerial rendering enthusiasts. The airflow is just sufficient to, using the mouth, vape in direct inhalation if desired. It is neither a pencil nor an oxygen mask.
Consumption leaves dreamer:
- You who have always dreamed of an Aston Martin with a V12 that consumes 30l / 100km, welcome. You will be in heaven here because the Alpha swallows as much e-liquids as the unleaded DB9. The equation is simple: 2,5ml of juice = 1 hour of vape at 20W.
- No wonder in this case that we have a dense and white vapor. It has to come from somewhere and as the airflow is reduced, it comes directly from the vaporization of the liquid with just a bit of air, which makes it so thick if not bulky.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
It is a piece of dream for all gourmets of the vape.
Easy, beautiful, finished to perfection, it fears no one when it comes to restoring flavors. It is on an ato like this that you would want to vape the last very expensive e-liquid that you bought for special occasions.
Be careful, don't take it for what it isn't! He's an enchanter who juggles flavors and sharpens the taste of your juices and not a muscular man who sends 100m³ per second.
Very attractive naked, we would have liked to receive well dressed, if only for his own protection. But hey, moderator object sometimes equals pitiful packaging, so we know we're not going to make a cheese. Even if the price, serious, would have justified a small effort all the same.
Let's not sulk our pleasure, the Alpha is in the place and he puts his race to all the atos of space! The Alpha, leader of the wolf pack, could well, thanks to the ingenious intervention of a brilliant moderator, find his audience of aficionados among the greedy vapers.
