The Council Of Vapor (COV) Mini-Volt Kit is a very small set-up. At the withers, we reach a rikiki dimension of 10cm (drip-tip included of course).
For the box, its power is 40 watts maximum. It is a powerful micro box that even accepts sub-ohm resistors. Its body is covered with carbon fiber on one part, while the other is coated with a non-slip uniform paint.
The functionalities are minimal while also offering the possibility of using the power in three different modes.
The clearomizer delivered with is perfectly suited to the box, both in terms of size and the resistive value of use of 0.8Ω. With a diameter of 20mm and a height of 37mm (without drip-tip), it manages to contain 2ml of liquid (in reality almost 2.4ml). But its four airflows give it a very airy vape for a generous vapor. And its drip-tip prevents the rise of liquid.
Good at first glance, this set-up is a small marvel of miniaturization but we will deepen a little details and see especially if it is reliable and what is its autonomy.

Regarding the box, despite its small size, I find it aesthetically massive. However, it remains ultra-light and of minimal height. It must be said that the battery being proprietary, therefore included, it weighs in the balance necessarily and rather in the right direction in terms of weight.
The coating on the paint part is soft with the impression of having silicone in your hands. The other part, in carbon fiber, has a rough feel like an embossing.
The buttons positioned on the side face are in shiny aluminum and do not move an eyelash. Very responsive, they are well proportioned for this box. Below, we can see an opening for recharging the battery with a micro USB cable and a small hole for heat dissipation in the box.
The OLED screen is located on the top-cap. Its size is restricted, 5mm x 10mm, but it gives us all the necessary information: vape power, battery charge, resistance value and operating mode.
The pine is silver plated for good conductivity and to prevent premature oxidation. Spring loaded, it adapts perfectly to all atomizers.
The atomizer is made of stainless steel with a glossy brown coating.
It is also a small template with a diameter of 20mm and a total height (with drip-tip and without connection) of 47mm.
COV offers us a little gem that arrives with a good capacity for its size. The four airflows allow for aerial use with a good density of vapor since the value of its resistance is 0.8 Ω.
Very easy to use, it consists of three parts (without the resistance) and a proprietary drip-tip that screws onto the top-cap and prevents liquid from rising in the mouth. Its tank is made of pyrex and therefore allows it to accept all liquids, including the most corrosive.

The functions of the box are very simple. It only offers the variable power mode with the possibility of choosing between three modes: power, standard or soft. Just press “-” and the switch to access these changes. These modes allow you to influence the heating time of the resistance.
With Power, we will have a boost effect, the resistance will heat up more quickly by taking for a micro-instant a power greater than that requested. Perfect to wake up a diesel assembly therefore. Standard mode speaks for itself, it is the native mode of the chipset. The Soft mode will allow a more gradual heating of the resistance, useful for certain very reactive assemblies which tend to slightly overheat the entry juice, when the capillary is not yet perfectly nourished.
The lock of the box adjustment buttons is automatic, you must press both "+" and the switch to unlock and adjust the value of the power.
Energy saving requires, the box turns off automatically after five minutes of non-use.
It benefits from short-circuit protection, it checks the resistance value, gives the battery charge level, recharges via a micro USB port and it goes into protection in the event of overheating. What more ?
The functions of the atomizer are also very simple. It suffices to screw on its base a proprietary resistor with a value of 0.8Ω. Relatively aerial with a variable airflow, it can adapt equally well to resistors of 0.5Ω or even to resistors of 1.2Ω, by reducing the airflow which is adjustable by a swivel ring on 4 cyclops type airholes.
It is filled from the top by unscrewing the drip tip from its top cap, which is also very effective against splashing back into the mouth through the chimney. A little gem that should be able to contain 2ml of liquid but which actually manages to take 2.4ml, we will not complain!

COV offers us a beautiful packaging, in a plexiglass box.
The kit is very complete, it is a ready-to-vape pack (e-liquid not provided anyway 😉).
Well wedged, you will find, in each compartment of the post-formed foam: the box, the atomizer, a spare resistance, a micro USB cable for recharging, an additional pyrex tank with a seal, a manual for the box and one for the atomizer and two small cards of recommendations / advice for use by the manufacturer.
The presentation of the box is superb, elegant and sober in addition to being complete. This set is available at an advantageous price which induces an excellent quality / price ratio.
Appreciations in use

Regarding use, it's plug & play!
The functionalities are minimal therefore impossible to make a false maneuver or to go wrong with this product. It is therefore a set that is intended for both beginners and old vape users.
On the other hand, a fundamental question arises. Does this set-up offer enough autonomy?
Well it depends on the use you make of it. For starters, Council Of Vapor advises against using it with resistances that are too low (0.2Ω or less). Although technically it is possible, the capacity of your battery will be penalized by premature wear and especially by a very short vape autonomy.
The resistance provided in the atomizer is 0.8Ω, although the box picked up at 0.9Ω. I vaped at a power of 30W for five hours unceremoniously. Reloading, meanwhile, took about three hours, which is a long time.
After the first charge, it seems to me that the autonomy has increased. Indeed, I used it the next day with one of my atomizers with a resistance of 1.1Ω and a power of 20W and I managed to vape nearly eight hours.
For a box of this size and power, I must say that I did not expect as much.
Ergonomically, the little hands will be delighted and people wanting a discreet product will appreciate to slide their set-up in the front pocket of their jeans.
In addition, the Mini Volt kit turns off by itself, without activity, after five minutes. This can be an inconvenience sometimes but very practical to conserve battery life.
Locking the box is constant, so you can only adjust the power to the desired value before vapping. Then the buttons will lock automatically. So impossible to vaper 40W unexpectedly. A more undeniable for a box typically made to be nomadic. Of course, you can disengage the lock at any time by pressing [+] and [switch].

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The Mini Volt Kit is really a practical product, extremely simple to use, intended mainly for beginners in the vape wishing to progress at their own pace until making a beautiful vapor. As well as to people who do not wish to have constraints of rebuilding resistance or those who seek discretion.
This product is made for an autonomy of half a day to a day depending on the resistance value and the power on which you vape. It is clear that on a 0.2Ω 40W double-coil, you will not go further than a couple of hours and more ... For this reason and although the capacity of this box allows the vape in ultra sub -ohm, I particularly advise against vaping below 0.5Ω.
The ideal for a daily autonomy would be 1.2Ω with a power of 18W by closing the airflows slightly.
A good quality set with a very good price / quality ratio. Here is a little gem that will delight more than one or more than one.
