Second gourmet escapade in a Wax range usually devoted to fruity delights, Solana's Ziouka immediately presents itself as an EVNI (Unidentified Vaping E-liquid). Indeed, few juices can boast of introducing cassava into their recipes. If Solana had already tried it before with the Sagas range, here the process is significantly different since cassava appears in pole position in the list of ingredients.
The Wax range, we know it and even if we don't know it, we can guess just from the name, takes us on an African journey around various ingredients specific to the horned continent. Given the taste successes that the collection has offered us, we are therefore entitled to expect to be surprised. And pleasantly.
The bottle conforms to the standards of the range. Small and sturdy, it nevertheless contains 50 ml of overdosed aroma which will therefore need to be extended by 20 ml of neutral base for vaping in 0, 10 ml of base and a booster for vaping in 3mg/ml or 2 boosters for vaping in 6 mg/ml. In any case, given the aromatic power, I do not recommend vaping it as is or even with only 10 ml added.
The base is 50/50 PG/VG, traditionally used in the range, and the price is set at €19.00, slightly below average. The price is always a bargain! In addition, you will benefit from a beautiful cardboard box and magnificent packaging.
Enough to make you want to open it, the Ziouka! I obviously searched to understand the etymology of this term and I only found an artisan ice cream parlor with a storefront in Martinique! Am I good? 😳

As usual, we have almost perfect with Solana in this regard. Almost everything is there. However, we would have liked, since we have been asking for it by praying, crying, even calling on African divinities, to find the mention of the laboratory, especially since it is Solana who makes it!
Even more, we would have loved the presence of a service dedicated to consumers with a telephone number, an e-mail or even GPS coordinates to send a pigeon in the event of a problem. But the gods didn't hear us! 😝

Change of tone with packaging above all suspicion. We are pleased to find the Wax stamp with its very evocative variegated design which speaks to us of distant countries and journeys which the manufacturer echoes in its liquids.
Here, sienna, mustard and orange are in the spotlight to better accentuate the gourmet effect that Ziouka has in store for us.

Comments on the taste of the juice
If you are expecting to find a known flavor or one of the many popcorn-caramel-vanilla-pecan-macadamia flavors that are picked up by the shovels in vape shops, you will be surprised, even disappointed.
We tell you that there is cassava in this liquid and we are not kidding you. We immediately notice the pronounced and atypical taste of the root, a sort of improbable mix between potato and chestnut. An earthy, deep note, which takes over the entire mouth, delicious indeed, but very far from European concepts in this area.
The cassava is supported by the addition of peanuts which allow the vaper to hang up the wagons and find themselves on familiar ground. More peanut nougatine than Bébénénuts, with a nice caramelized dose which creates a bond with the star plant.
The recipe is completely mastered and each of the protagonists gets their moment of Warholian glory during the tasting. The result is elegant, very gourmet and at the same time totally exotic and surprising. Here we have the archetype of the liquid which will have its worshipers and its detractors. But at the very least, it will not leave anyone indifferent.
An astonishing sensation of freshness, almost tiny, emerges from the presence of the cassava. It is barely perceptible but we have proof of it when after the puff, we inhale air. This is where the evening trade winds reveal themselves best.

Ziouka can be vaped in harmony with your desires. MTL, it saturates its flavors and allows increased recognition of all its mysteries. RDL or DL, he frees himself and becomes cheeky, we have a mouth full of it.
To vape warm/hot, with a certain power, over coffee or even hot chocolate. To be reserved at selected times, too heavy to be considered all-day, but there is something for everyone!

Astonishing, captivating, destabilizing, surprising, you would need a dictionary of adjectives to do an exhaustive tour of Ziouka. On a personal level, although he has been with me for a week now, I know him well but I still don't know what to think about him. I am sure, however, that I will finish the vial with pleasure. The simple pleasure of discovering new horizons in the world of clouds.
It is a pioneering liquid, but Solana is accustomed to opening new gaps in palates experienced in all exercises. To try to get an idea, of the liquid itself but also of the rich taste possible in the vape.
