Comments on the packaging

Solana has long shown us the adventurous spirit that is her trademark. And in particular in fruity juices where the manufacturer has been able to use the many trips he has made around the world to bring back unique or rare flavors in the field of vaping.

The Wax range is a kind of culmination in this quest for taste exploration. Persimmon, rambutan, tamarind, green banana, African grape or soursop, fruit exoticism has been invited to our tables with always convincing and sometimes incredible results.

Oloko is the new liquid in this range and it offers us a little twist on the citrus side but, as usual, mystery and novelty will be there.

Embracing the DNA of its predecessors, Oloko comes in a 70ml bottle filled with 50ml of aroma. This will leave you 20 ml of space to add boosters and/or neutral base to obtain a result between 0 and 6 mg/ml of nicotine. I strongly advise you not to limit yourself to 10 ml of addition or worse, not to add anything at all. The aroma is very powerful and it would be a shame to miss out on a great experience. This liquid, like the others in the range, needs to receive 20 ml of base, nicotine or not, to be at the top. I also find it unfortunate that this is not specified on the packaging.

Assembled on a 50/50 PG/VG base, as is often the case with the manufacturer, Oloko sells for €19.00, which is slightly below median market prices.

Only one mystery remains: what are the exotic fruits used in the composition of this new opus? Well, I suggest you discover it together.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

When you are the youngest of a sibling, you necessarily inherit the same qualities as your predecessors. This is therefore the case here where everything that is legally required is written either on the label or on the box.

On the other hand, we also inherit faults. And there are. Thus, the name of the manufacturing unit is not mentioned. Guys, make an effort, you have your own laboratory, you might as well indicate it on the box! 😲 Same thing about the glaring lack of service contact in case of a problem. Ok, these two points are not mandatory but that does not make them any less important for consumers.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Do the graphic design of the label and the name of the product agree? Yes

Comments on the packaging

The packaging is still attractive.

Borrowing the colorful universe of African fabrics, it makes us travel and dream long before we have tasted the liquid. This is a big strong point of the range and Oloko is no exception. A strong point because seduction often passes through the eye at the time of purchase and here, it's full board if I dare say. We take full advantage of it! It's colorful, joyful and authentic. Near visual perfection.

Comments on the taste of the juice

I have already had many opportunities to say all the good things I thought about this range which reconciled me with the fruity category, a category where, even more than elsewhere, there is an abstract challenge of copying recipes which work to the detriment of the reflection necessary to offer the good products of tomorrow. Well, Oloko will not break the spell, quite the contrary.

Solana transports us here into the world of citrus fruits. But instead of betting on the eternal lemon or the everlasting orange, it is the kumquat that will make its bed in this recipe. This very small citrus fruit, which looks like an orange machine-washed at 90°, is generally eaten with the thin skin that surrounds it and therefore develops a nice acidity and a juicy and sweet heart. And that is exactly what we find here. The tangy aspects are very well controlled thanks to a significant sweetness and it melts in the mouth, releasing great joy in passing.

Just behind, we find a pomelo whose very slight bitterness is recognizable and which will thicken the blend with its generous and juicy flesh. The tandem works wonderfully and the taste of Oloko evokes buried nostalgia, as if it allowed us to find the shores of a lost paradise.

The freshness is marked but does not manage to start the momentum of the two fruits. Thus, this juice is transformed into a steam engine from which we never manage to take off and a perfect companion to face the heat waves which follow one another. It is refreshing and sweet at the same time, the recipe is absolutely perfect. There's nothing more to say except that, for me, it's the best fresh fruit of the year!

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Given its substantial aromatic power, even diluted with 20 ml of boosters and its medium viscosity, Oloko will be welcome in all evaporation devices. From the pod to the DL clearo, nothing scares him. It is enough to bet on a rather lukewarm/cold temperature to serve it at best.

A liquid of such quality vapes on its own but, if you have an adventurous spirit, test it with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate ice cream, with the addition of a Breton biscuit. It's ecstasy!

My mood ticket on this juice

Oloko, for those who don't know (like me, 10 minutes ago 🤣) is a city in Nigeria. But that was before. Today, it is an e-liquid that I strongly advise you to test and adopt.

Without wanting to tell you about my life, when we test new liquids every day, we are rarely surprised. Most of the time, liquids are fine. In all objectivity, we are very far from the wanderings of the beginnings of the vape where tasting a new juice was equivalent to playing Russian roulette. Nowadays, the level of quality is high and that's good for the vape.

On the other hand, encountering an innovative, perfectly successful and adventurous e-liquid is much rarer. We grasp here the passion of the flavourist, the risk-taking of the manufacturer and the desire to push back the limits. This is all that Oloko offers you with its taste of paradise. Top Vapelier? Yes of course ! Or even better: a personal favourite!
