Solana is in great shape right now! Not a month goes by without the news being enriched by a new product or a new range. The manufacturer, which some consider to be the greatest fruity specialist in France, does not allow itself to be won over by the gloom of winter and the economic context and is offering us at the end of the year a new collection which will embalm your eve.
This is the Wax range, named after the famous colorful African fabric, which will prevent us from succumbing to the red and green temptations of Christmas which is approaching and come to put a little pep on the table. On the menu, a variation of fruit, of course, with some taste peculiarities that should largely attract fans of the genre.
The Malokaï is the first to pass on the hot seat of the Vapelier. It inaugurates a fairly short 75 ml format containing 50 ml of (very) dosed aroma. You can extend it with 20 ml of boosters to obtain 6 mg/ml or with a booster and 10 ml of neutral base to be around 3 mg/ml. If you want to vape in 0, just add 20 ml of neutral base. In any case, I advise you not to vape it as it is or even by adding only 10 ml, it is not made for. Its very strong aromatic power would be more of a handicap than an advantage in these two cases.
The chosen base is 50/50 PG/VG, a great classic known to perfectly serve fruit thanks to its propylene glycol content which will define the flavors. The ratio being balanced, the steam will not be outdone, no worries.
The price is 19.90 €, on average for a premium liquid.

Nothing to say about the essential elements to satisfy the legislation. Everything is there at attention, very clear and legible. Special mention for the hazard pictogram, not mandatory in the case of a non-nicotine liquid but whose presence we appreciate, noting that the liquid is still intended to be boosted. Well seen !
On the other hand, contrary to the excellent habits of the manufacturer, it lacks the mention of the manufacturing laboratory (no problem it is indeed Solana) and the contact for a consumer service. Having had the samples before the commercial release of the liquid, maybe this is an oversight that will be repaired in the final batch?

Comments on the packaging
An enchantment! From the outset, the Malokaï is delivered in a cardboard box which announces the color. The design takes up what is expected of a typical West African garment with its symbolism, its iridescent shades and the joy of living it conveys. It's charming and bewitching, it catches the eye on the shelves of the shops like the teeth of a model catch the light!
The label of the bottle is of the same water and presents to perfection on this short format. We can see that the marketing has been well done and, once again, Solana surprises us with its ability to integrate innovative designs.
Just a slight downside: the informative notices on the back of the label tend to overlap, the fault lies with a choice of character size that is certainly readable but probably too large.

Comments on the taste of the juice
And the big winner of the taste derby is the green banana which imposes itself head and shoulders. A high-quality aroma that imposes its great vegetal character and its gourmet and tangy aspects at the same time. Almost liquorice in its texture, it takes the palate hostage and reveals itself with great acuity.
Additional tangy notes betray the presence of kiwi and its typical taste develops as the puffs. Very ripe, it is happy to be gentle. The cactus, the third thief of the party, adds an additional vegetal note and a depth at the end of the puff that goes very well with the cloud of freshness that starts at that moment. A controlled freshness that accompanies the cocktail without distorting it.
The recipe shows a balance that is difficult to fault and seems to come from the heavenly universe of a flavourist experienced in travelling. The Malokaï is not good, it is excellent, and not content to enchant lovers of fruitiness who will set their sights on it, trace new taste paths that give pride of place to the concept of universality.

The advantage of using a balanced 50/50 ratio is that the Malokaï is compatible with all evaporation systems, including pods. The aromatic power being strong, including by extending by 20 ml as advised above, you will also have the choice of your volume of air. Alone all day or in addition to a rum (it's the holidays, friends!), a hot or cold tea, a vanilla log, this potion of paradise will follow you almost everywhere.

Daring, inflated, sweet, soft, cajoling… adjectives are lacking to describe the feat accomplished by the Malokaï. A real moment of change of scenery, it goes far beyond the commonly accepted boundaries of the usual fruity duos or trios. New sensations and a high quality of interpretation make it essential, including in the heart of winter. A real missile!
