Of course, you have to know reason and keep modesty but, on this magnificent occasion, it is not without great pride that Le Vapelier announces a lot of reviews about the American brand Halo! Hope we can do them all!
Why ? Quite simply because the history of Halo is, without the slightest doubt, closely linked to the history of vaping. Present since 2009, when most of us happily massacred our lungs with cigarettes, the one that we can nickname the “Giant”, in the James Deanien sense of the term, had already understood that the vape, in addition to be a very effective substitute against smoking, was also a new vector of taste.
It is therefore with respect and a certain excitement that I tackle the Tribeca today.
This e-liquid is not an e-liquid like any other. It is not just a good juice, or even a great juice. A classic then? Not at all! It is neither more nor less than The Legend of the vape, the number one in all categories, the Mohamed Ali of the liquid! There may have been better-selling potions, now-defunct UFOs, fierce competitors. But none have the aura of the Tribeca, so often copied and never equaled. If the vape were a river, it would be its source, no more, no less.
It is presented here in its Shake “N” Vap version, namely a 100ml bottle filled with 50ml of overdosed aroma to which you can add up to 5 nicotine boosters (although decency obliges me to advise you to do not exceed 2 to obtain 70 ml in 6.66 mg / ml, in order to preserve the preciousness of the aroma). Splendid simplicity. The packaging is in the colors and image of the brand: clear and unpretentious. The eternal blue background on which stand out the logo of the manufacturer and its mascot, a kind of flame jinn, sympathetic and benevolent.
Of course, we also find the reference of the liquid, an indication of its taste and the warnings and composition of rigor, perfectly highlighted by the contrast between the typeface and the background.
The result is there. When you come across a bottle from Halo, you know who you are with. Isn't that the very essence of successful design?

Still devilishly current, the Tribeca falls into the so-called Ry4 category.
A bit of history: The Ruyan 4, or Ry4, was created in 2007 in collaboration between Ludo Timmermans, CEO of Janty, a brand that has now disappeared to which we also owe the invention of the Ego and a chemist from Dekang, a Chinese company known for its liquids. The two friends created five recipes during the day in order to obtain a tobacco flavored liquid that would be soft, addictive and sweet enough to make you want to come back over and over again. Recipe n ° 4 was chosen. It featured mild blond tobacco, caramel and vanilla. The Ry4 was born and would delight millions of users as it was imitated, perfected and still remains a category in its own right, still produced for lovers of gourmet tobacco.
Two years later, Halo released the Tribeca on a similar basis but including a specific additive, acetylpyrazine, which gives a note of toasted hazelnut, to put it simply. And the result is, even today, a killing.
Indeed, the Tribeca enters the mouth through a sun-drenched, sweet and fragrant virginia. It is accompanied by a persistent note of vanilla which erases the bitter roughness of tobacco and a twist of caramel which imposes its sweet and long texture on the palate. A few precise notes of nuts give the blend its inimitable color.
The immense success of this liquid lies in its softness and its ability to be vaped in allday without ever being disgusting. Over time, it has become the very archetype of gourmet tobacco and its unique recipe has not aged a day. Tobacco and gourmet elements, nothing very surprising you will say to me? Certainly, but even more than the original Ry4 which was in fact only a sweetened tobacco, it was he who created the category that we now call Classic Gourmand.
This is undoubtedly the superiority of the legend over many liquids in the world. She is inspired but she also creates. She doesn't copy.

The Tribeca is a 4 × 4 e-liquid, it will go well everywhere. A pod, a tight clearo, an aerial clearo, a DLR reconstructable, a genesis, a surgical dripper or even a cartomiser. Nothing can resist him, he is comfortable everywhere and imposes his particular taste under all constraints.
Warm, hot, any temperature is welcome and it can be vaped at will with a cushy vape at 15 W as with 70 W on a steam machine without losing its superb.
Allday by vocation, he will vaporize from morning to night and never tire. I can confirm it to you, I have been vaping for almost 10 years!

My mood ticket on this juice
I would not want people to think that this review is turning into a panegyric. The Tribeca also has a few flaws: it is not available by the hectolitre, it is not reimbursed by Social Security and it does not flow from my tap. 😉
Some don't like it, it's true. Too sweet, not “trendy”, tobacco but not enough, greedy but not enough… everyone has the right to have their personal opinion. But those who love it adore it and, if we are to believe the thousands of more or less well-inspired copies that roam the world market, it still has a huge future ahead of it as long as people remember that a John Lennon lookalike will never sing like John Lennon.
If you do not know it, you are missing a monument of taste and I can only advise you to test it to find out which camp you are in. If you know him, then the fact that he gets a Top Juice here won't surprise you. In the pantheon of great liquids, he is the first.
