It's almost a fairy tale story where a princess will fall in love with a warrior commoner (or the opposite) and beget offspring that will have the alluring finery of the first and the earthly reliability of the second.
Thus, from the union between Pipeline and Eleaf was born the Pico Pro, in order to give a little pep to a category until then acquired only in the middle empire by giving it a suit to its proper measure, typically European.
The box aims wide. Indeed, if we know the qualities of the Pico d'Eleaf to put a beginner population the foot in the stirrup of the vape, it could just as well end up in the hand of a confirmed vaper who will find in its reduced dimensions and its enhanced finish, an excellent compromise for vaping in society in complete discretion but without ignoring its requirements.

The first thing that strikes you when discovering the Pico Pro is its size. Indeed, with a height of 72mm less than that of certain atomizers, a depth of 45mm and a width of 24mm, it becomes from then on a “cute” object, mat and its discreet elegance will be able to largely seduce. Its weight is to match, rather contained, thus ensuring a comfortable grip, including for female hands.
Aesthetically, the rectangular shapes of the facades coexist with the welcome curves of the lateral sides and all the parts that can be sharp have been chamfered to ensure maximum comfort in the palm. She is pretty, simple and without unnecessary complexities in form. It exudes a sobriety which makes its charm, underlined at the level of the top cap and the bottom cap by slightly prominent projections in order to energize the general line.
The big Pipeline plus is there and plays as much on the beauty of the object as on its finish. The box is adorned with stainless steel at the top and bottom caps as well as in the switch and the [+] and [-] buttons located as usual under the mod. The all-aluminum bodywork providing a perceived quality superior to traditional Pico.
The finishes are free from any reproach and there is a shutter for the steel batteries marked Pipeline on the top cap, next to a gold-plated 510 connection and mounted on a spring. Under the bottom cap, the interface buttons occupy the place, next to the vents necessary for a possible degassing or cooling of the chipset.
A sober engraving adorns one of the sides, subtly reminiscent of the European manufacturer and the name of the box. The threads are of quality and play their part in the velvet. A few presses on the switch are reassuring. It is reactive, releases a small discreet click when pressing and is perfectly integrated in its housing. The adjustment buttons are of a similar quality and remain accessible despite their location. If the size of the box requires small buttons, they can still be manipulated by larger fingers. Which suits me.
Neat finishes, well thought out ergonomics, assemblies above all suspicion and aesthetics galvanized by the Pipeline contribution, the Pico Pro seems well born and the marriage that could have seemed unnatural is obvious in view of the result.

There are three Pico Pro operating modes.
First of all, we have a variable power mode, scaled from 1 to 75 W in increments / decrements of 0.1. We will not find here a Preheat or Curve, the object having been above all thought of as a simple box in its implementation, which is undeniably the case. This is how it appears ideal for first-time jet pilots.
A temperature control mode will allow us to manage at best, between 100 and 315 ° C, resistive wires such as titanium, 316 steel and nickel. A TCR sub-mode will allow you to implement the heating coefficient of a specific resistive wire. Simple, okay, but first and foremost complete.
The By-Pass mode will emulate the use of a mechanical mod based on the remaining voltage in the 18650 battery. Enjoy the powerful and smooth signal in this mode, while retaining the many protections that the Pico offers. Pro offers.
You will be protected against short circuits, battery polarity reversal, chipset overheating and a 10 second cut-off will prevent any risk of related incident, for example forgetting to put the box on Off if you slip it into your pocket.
Five traditional clicks on the switch will allow you to turn your mod on or off. Three clicks on the same switch will open the door to the different modes. Simultaneous pressing of the [+] and [-] buttons will be used to block them to prevent the power or temperature setting from racing by itself. The same manipulation will allow you to unlock them.

Ergonomic, sexy and easy to use, the Pico Pro is perfectly suited to everyday use.
The chipset latency is correct and quite in line with the maximum power that will allow you to drive MTL or restricted DL atomizers. Of course, you can always use a pure DL atomizer as long as the power requested by your resistance does not exceed 75 W. But let's be honest, the box, already by its size, its compatibility with an atomizer diameter of 24mm maximum and the fact that it carries a single battery, will be much better satisfied with a “reasonable” atomizer.
In intensive use, we do not notice anything negative. The box does not heat up, does not present any facetious behavior and the quality of the signal allows a beautiful precision of the flavors and a noticeable texture of vapor. Your e-liquid will say thank you, especially if you use a precise atomizer in the aromatic transcription.
The autonomy of the battery is well managed by a chipset decidedly adapted to a serene and protective use.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Difficult to be choosy, the Pico Pro is a hit when you take it for what it is: a small, cute, well-finished box, suitable for MTL or RDL atomizers and ultra-versatile.
It is this versatility that makes it an object as much dedicated to beginners anxious to vape good as to confirmed ones careful not to be too demonstrative in their nomadic vape. In other words, the partnership between Pipeline and Eleaf is bearing fruit here, the quality and elegance of the former combining wonderfully with the electronics and reliability of the latter.
