Dotmod offers us its first RDTA atomizer. To do this, he took over the DotRDA platform to which he added a reservoir of 2ml. Mostly done in ultem, this new product nevertheless displays a price at the edge of the high end range.
So we have to check if this “piece of plastic” is worth the price Dotmod is asking us for.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
This new atomizer signed Dotmod adopts a very classic line. A quasi-continuous cylinder of diameter 24mm, there are two successive reductions of this measurement at the top level of the top-cap. A short 810 drip-tip type comes to cap our DotRDTA. We find the logo of the brand at the level of this drip-tip but also on the barrel.
There are clearly two air inlets of reasonable size for this type of atomizer, we also note that they have no adjustment.
Inside, the connection plate and pin form the atomiser's “backbone” so to speak. This original board, specific to this brand, is the same as the DotRDA.
The ultem tank consists of a single piece and offers a small reserve of 2ml, which is not much for a double coil atomizer.
In terms of overall quality, nothing to say, it's clean and quite elegant (if you like the ultem). A product which seems very correct and which offers its share of originality even if, at this stage, I am still a little reserved due to the massive use of ultem.

Our DotRDTA is very simple, but it still offers the essentials.
The filling is carried out from the top without any prior manipulation thanks to a clever system that I will explain to you below.
We have a 2ml tank, which is low, but it is possible to equip our atomizer with a BF pin, which will therefore significantly increase the capacity if we combine our atomizer with a BF box.
The tray hosts two coils and they are supplied with air by two fixed airholes of substantial size but relatively reasonable when compared to what is already done elsewhere.
This is what Dotmod offers us, a product that appears to be simple but which still has a tray that has proven itself in terms of practicality and an ultra-ergonomic filling system.

You will find two mouthpieces in the Pack. They are both identical. Fairly short, type 810, they are distinguished by the material they are made of since one is in black Delrin and the other in Ultem.
They are quite suitable for the vape that this atomizer gives you and I will say that the choice of one or the other is only a question of aesthetics.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
As always, the presentation is very neat. The traditional little black box adorned with the golden logo. Inside you will find, next to your new atomizer, a small glass vial which contains the BF pin and two coils. You will also have a small bag of seals, a second drip-tip and the famous Dotmod key. Finally, a small certificate of authenticity.
A nice presentation, so why such a note? Quite simply because of the lack of instructions. No indication of use therefore, even if this product is intended for an informed public, a booklet with recommendations for use would be welcome.
Appreciations in use

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
This atomizer is easy to use. The specific plate is very practical to equip with coils, there is only one screw to operate to hold the four legs of our two coils. Cotton is also quite easy to dose and place, in particular thanks to the possibility of separating the pine / tray part from the tank very easily since they are just nested together (moreover this is an advantage that also has its disadvantages, we will talk about it later).
The filling is done without any prior manipulation, just put the end of your bottle in the center of the single screw on the tray. There is a small hole which is used, of course, to lead the liquid to the tank. It's practical and that's good because it will be necessary to perform this operation very regularly.
To remedy the low capacity of the tank, you can opt for the BF pin and thus, your autonomy will improve considerably.
In terms of flavor, this little RDTA is doing brilliantly, it distills a rather tasty vape and the flavors are well restored. The airflow is quite generous but there is more air on the market. Fixed, you won't have to worry about finding your ideal feed, Dotmod has chosen it for you.
The production of steam is substantial, it is not cut for the competition but it has something to quickly envy your living room.
A rather nice product, easy to use and effective.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Dotmod therefore offers us its first RDTA. This new atomizer works very well and is quite practical. A tray already seen on the DotRDA, original and fairly easy to use with this single screw system. Filling the (too) small 2ml tank is also very easy, always thanks to the single screw on the tray with a hole in its center. A welcome BF option, and finally good performance, both in terms of vapor and flavors.
The drawing is simple but harmonious. So, finally, is this ato perfect?
No, there are too many ultem for a 70 € atomizer and, even if the material is suitable, its value much lower than that of steel should also be felt on the final price.
Then there is this fixed airflow, no possibility of varying the airflow and in addition, no possibility of use in single coil. I find that a bit of a shame.
Finally, to conclude the less favorable part, the pine / tray assembly separates from the tank a little too easily. It's practical to be able to dismantle everything but it would have been nice to find a system to block the part because, as it is, a little pressure at the level of the 510 pin and, hop, the whole is packed and c ' is a bit of a pain if there is juice left over because everything is flowing onto your fingers.
The DotRDTA is a good atomizer but I find its price too high.
