Alfaliquid is more than a manufacturer of e-liquids for France, it is downright an institution! I remember, four years and a few months ago, when I embarked on my vaping adventure, the brands of juice present in France could be counted on the fingers of both hands and Alfaliquid was one of them.
For a long time, the brand has specialized in entry-level juices, geared more towards beginners and most often in mono-aromas. But that time is over, the demand for vapers has changed and has become more qualitative. And the brand had to follow suit to adapt to this new market.
Thus, Alfaliquid released the Dark Story range, which represents the premium of the brand, and which offers us recipes for all categories of vape. I had tested with great pleasure the Vanilla Custard which I had found good and interesting same here and I couldn't wait to taste the other juices in the range to get a better idea. It is therefore done with this Brown Diamond that I will dissect for you.
The conditioning is dignified and pleasant. Black glass bottle, complete and precise labeling, the “old house” is pulling out its claws to present us with an engaging product at a price far from prohibitive. All the information is clearly on the label to help the vaper make an informed choice. There is nothing to complain about and besides, I notice that many French manufacturers have acquired exemplary behavior in this area. Alfaliquid is no exception.

For the development of Brown Diamond, Alfaliquid used natural flavors, synthetic flavors, organic vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol of vegetable origin as well as organic alcohol. We therefore see that everything has been done to stay close to a healthy juice to vape. For those who are wary about the use of alcohol in e-liquids, I remind you that no study has demonstrated its harmfulness. No more besides than for the rest…. 😉
The safety statements are fully compliant and Alfaliquid shows total transparency by indicating a batch number as well as a BBD on the bottom of the bottle. Once again, it is almost perfect, which clearly shows that French manufacturers have a good head start on the public authorities in terms of control over their products and consumer safety.

Comments on the packaging
The packaging is simple but very pretty. We end up with a black glass bottle, allowing filtering of UV rays and therefore avoiding the product to undergo irradiation by light and a very nicely staged label which features a tattooed vape near a big American woman. 50s (I'm talking about cars of course) in a Cuban street. It's nice, well done and it fits quite well to the taste spirit of Brown Diamond that we will discover later.

Comments on the taste of the juice
It is clearly a gourmet tobacco, treated with finesse. No taste caricature here. We have a tobacco blend, difficult to define, where we find the finesse of a Burley-type blond but also the slightly dark thickness of a brown tobacco dosed sparingly. The tobacco set has a slight alcohol taste, quite discreet, reminiscent of whiskey. Far behind, we find gourmet elements that approach a little to the taste of Nutella ©, with a mixture of hazelnut and a very slightly bitter chocolate which is more reminiscent of milk chocolate. But all these nuances are placed downstream of the tobacco. Which means that we really have a gourmet tobacco rather than a gourmet tobacco.
This makes the Brown Diamond easy to vape all day since no feeling of sickness disturbs the vape. The liquid is sweetened as it should, without excess and quickly becomes essential if accompanied by a good espresso.
It's very pleasant to vape, quite addicting and yet polymorphous. Indeed, the flavors depicted are not all there at the same time and the liquid sometimes manages to surprise you with scattered notes of hazelnut which go up or of whiskey. A bit like a Boba's Bounty for example, even if the flavors are very different.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
I would recommend a good rebuildable atomizer with a resistance between 1.2 and 1.7Ω which highlights the flavors to capture the discreet nuances of Brown Diamond. Around 15 / 17W, we get the essence of the juice. Higher up, we gain in density what we lose in finesse and the tobacco / whiskey block takes too much precedence over the hazelnut / chocolate touch in my opinion. It should be noted that the vapor produced is correct and dense but not impressive and that the hit in the throat is average, despite the presence of propylene glycol of vegetable origin, in general more aggressive than that of petroleum origin. All this is not a big problem for me because my interest is above all taste.

My mood ticket on this juice
It is very good.
Of course, unrepentant gourmets (of which I am however a part) will regret that the greedy aspect of hazelnut and chocolate is a little placed in the background. But gourmet tobacco lovers (of which I am also a part !!! 😆) will appreciate the choice of a light and vapable tobacco at will! Because the Brown Diamond is very good and replies by the precision of its recipe to the plump heaviness of certain liquids. It's like comparing a homemade salted butter shortbread to a Donut stuffed with cream bought at Mac D, the sensations are not the same! Be careful, however, Brown Diamond is far from being dry tobacco and we even revel in its sweetness.
For me, it is a liquid that will appeal to lovers of the category by its sincerity and its taste approach with finesse. A real diamond!
