Comments on the packaging

The editorial staff of Vapelier had sent me to fetch an e-liquid on a freezing night. Comfortably warm in my working Ferrari (editor's note: that's it, yes ...), I got lost on the road looking for a shortcut that I never found. (editor's note: I'm giving up, it's too much!).

Along the way, I passed an old lady with a vault and stopped the 640 CV of my car at her level. His face was expressionless, pale, lit only by the full moon. She looked like a sad version of Roselyne Bachelot without foundation. I ask her her name, she murmurs in her voice from beyond the grave: “I am Holy Waze”. She showed me the right way and I set off again towards my destination.

At the bend of a sharp turn negotiated at 420 km / h, my grille came face to face on the heavy gate of a gloomy Victorian mansion. I got out of my red steed and rang the doorbell. A very beautiful brunette woman dressed in black leather with thigh-high boots opened me and asked me what I wanted. I took the post-it that the manager had given me, I read the name on it aloud: “Whip Me”.

Then, the total blackout. I don't remember anything. I woke up several hours later slumped in the wheel of my Twingo with bleeding buttocks naked, a latex hood compressing my face. Next to me was a plastic vial with lots of cabalistic inscriptions that I could hardly read because I wasn't used to having rimmel running in my eyes.

Back at HQ, finally safe from new vicissitudes, I understood that it was the e-liquid that I had to test. The Fine Equipe was the manufacturer, the Finger Team the Instagrammers associated with its design and “Whip Me”, the name of the reference. One day I will have to learn English, I vaguely feel that this surname is perhaps responsible for the various pains that my body has been experiencing since that night.

Containing 50 ml of aroma in a bottle that can contain 70 ml, “Whip Me” can therefore be extended by 20 ml of classic booster and / or neutral base to offer a ready-to-vape of 60 or 70 ml in 0, 3, 6 mg / ml and even 1.5 or 4.5 if you add boosters dosed at 10 mg / ml of nicotine.

The liquid is therefore part of the “La Finger Team” range, a collection developed with members of the LFE family who haunt social networks and sells for € 19.90, which makes it a liquid in the average market price.

A little scalded by my nocturnal adventures which I have no memory of but in confidence with the Toulouse manufacturer already responsible for excellent liquids, I am embarking on the test below.

Comments on the packaging

Once again, the packaging is largely inspired by the world of comics and presents us with a tattooed and sexy woman holding a riding crop in her hands, all drawn in black on a white background, thus differentiating the range from the brand's other productions.

It's nice, always rascal as we like it and different from all of the French production. A little breath of warm air in the vaposphere.

Sensory appreciations

  • Is the color and the name of the product in agreement? Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree? Yes
  • Definition of odor: Coffee, Alcoholic
  • Definition of taste: Coffee, Alcoholic
  • The taste and the name of the product, are they in agreement? Yes
  • Did I like this juice? I won't splurge on it
  • This liquid reminds me of: An Irish coffee, but cold.

Comments on the taste of the juice

Whip Me intends to give your taste buds a boost and we can say that it is successful. For better or for worse, depending on your personal taste.

It is first of all a very full-bodied flavor of roasted coffee that sets the tone, a powerful arabica quite typical of the one obtained by using an Italian coffee maker. Strong and not without a certain bitterness, it constitutes the heart of the liquid.

A very present alcoholic note is superimposed on it quickly. A rather young and lively whiskey which lasts quite a long time in the mouth and immediately communicates a cocktail orientation to the liquid.

A cloud of whipped cream, finely milky, appears at the end of the puff to close the tasting. Then, almost a posteriori, a subtle touch of freshness lines the palate.

The recipe, pass me the expression, is nuts. You had to dare to take the basics of an Irish coffee and transform it into a smoothie. It is objectively successful, interesting but the very principle will divide opinions.

Personally, but this remains eminently subjective, I found that the Whip Me lacks a bit of that gourmet sweetness that is usually the preserve of the brand. It is fascinating to discover, inflated in its approach but its roughness, due to the bitterness of the full-bodied coffee and the acidity of the whiskey, will be so many stumbling blocks for those looking for the typical smoothness of La Fine Equipe.

However, it will find its audience among those, many, who will appreciate its aromatic strength.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 27 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Dense
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Strong
  • Atomizer used for the review: Psyclone Hadaly among others
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.88 Ω
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Nichrome, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Choose an atomizer open enough to ventilate Whip Me, which is rather strong in flavor.

A warm cold temperature will stick to it well and the power will do the rest to express its many nuances.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of the day: All afternoon during everyone's activities
  • Can this juice be recommended as an all-day vape: No

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.38 / 5 4.4 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

This liquid is, how to say, different.

Astonishing. Surprising. Cleavage, it will generate very contradictory emotions and will not go unnoticed. There are those who will love it, those who will hate it, those who will love to hate it and those who will hate to love it.

But at no time will he leave you indifferent. Which is the obvious sign of a taste risk-taking, a hallmark of the Toulouse team. A reassuring aspect in a production which unfortunately tends to standardize in terms of flavors.

Here, we are in unknown territory and it is pleasant. Whether you like it or not, Whip Me (do not pronounce it too loud, unhappy ... 🤐) is a UFO and just for that, it is well worth a look, the fact of tasting it to give it a chance and a tip of the hat for having dared there where others are only copying ad nauseam of well-worn recipes.
