Comments on the packaging

Airmust, the French manufacturer, returns to us with a new range of gourmet products: Ekinox.

This range is composed of a Lemon Macaron, a strawberry cereal, a coffee biscuit and a vanilla cream. But the creator of Loiret also offers you a whole range of tastes that will suit all palates, from fruity and fresh fruity to minty, from gourmand to tobacco, including candy. Ready to vape or certain concentrates, the choice is wide. I could cite here Hey Boogie, Paperland, or “It's not a cake”.

The Lemon Macaron that will interest us is only sold ready to vape. It is packaged in a 70 ml bottle with 50 ml of e-liquid. You can therefore extend it with one or two nicotine boosters to easily reach 3 or 6 mg/ml. Its PG/VG rate of 50/50. It is sold at the price of 19.90 € without booster.

It is specified on the vial that it does not contain sucralose, and we appreciate that. Well a lemon macaroon, I'm already salivating so a little story to maintain the suspense:

The macaron appeared in Europe in the Middle Ages, first in Italy, under the name maccherone. Catherine de Medici would have had it served at the wedding of Duke Anne de Joyeuse, in Ardèche, in 1581. It reappeared in Saint-Jean-de-Luz in 1660, where the pastry chef Adam offered it to King Louis XIV for his wedding . But be careful, the sequel is intended to be Franco-French (no but!).

In 1930, Parisian pastry chef Pierre Desfontaines, second cousin of the creator of Maison Ladurée, had the ingenious idea of assembling two macaron shells, topped with a tasty ganache. This is how the Parisian macaron as we know it today was born.

As for the lemon, we will be more interested in a Eureka lemon which is a Californian lemon with juicy and moderately acidic flesh.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

In terms of legal, safety and health compliance, it’s a hit!

Everything is there: from the recipe to the PG/VG rate, from the batch number to the prohibition and recycling pictograms, but also the possible allergens.

The manufacturer also recalls the capacity of the bottle (70ml) and that its liquid is sucralose-free, in short, it's square!

A little extra for the detachable tip of the vial, very practical for adding nicotine.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Do the graphic design of the label and the name of the product agree? Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: Yes

Comments on the packaging

The graphics of Macaron Citron are well designed without being overloaded, the label is pleasant.

Surrounded by an Ekinox snake, overlooks the name of the liquid and the manufacturer, all on a yellow background, lemon of course. Why a snake, I asked myself the question, and after much reflection, I only see one answer: it is the symbol of the greedy temptation that will come to bite you, it's so simple...

Everything being clearly visible on this bottle, there is no risk of making a mistake with another e-liquid, an Ekinox of course.

Sensory appreciations

  • Is the color and the name of the product in agreement? Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree? Yes
  • Definition of odor: Lemon, Sweet
  • Definition of taste: Sweet, Lemon, Pastry
  • Are the taste and the name of the product in agreement? Yes
  • Did I like this juice? Yes

Comments on the taste of the juice

“Hear, hear, good people, the Sun King invites you to his table.” At the request of Marie-Antoinette, the greatest French pastry chefs have come together to concoct a treat dear to your sovereign: a macaron. But not just any one, the Airmust Lemon Macaron.

To do this, our most valiant knights traveled our noble lands to bring us the grace of the best ingredients.

At first glance, the lemon will awaken your taste buds, it is round, juicy, very well transcribed. We clearly find the citrus note, without any parasitic chemical taste. Then, as soon as the acidity intensifies, it will be delicately softened and coated by the macaron: it is a soft almond shell, enhanced with a creamy ganache.

At the end of the vape, the lemon will return to coat your palate, leaving the entire recipe in your mouth. It's absolutely well balanced, the sweet side is not cloying. The result is stunning and addictive. We can only congratulate the flavorists at Airmust, it’s a work of excellence!

Tasting recommendations

  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.30 Ω

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Since the Airmust Lemon Macaron has a 50/50 PG/VG rate, it can be vaped in MTL as well as in RDL.

I have a caveat regarding the DL, especially concerning clearomizers: at high power on this type of equipment, it is recommended to use a liquid with a higher VG content to avoid leaks.
and enjoy strong flavors.

For my part, I obtained maximum taste at a power of 35 W on Aspire Atlantis. I also tested it from 20 to 25 W on Aspire Nautilus, the aromatic qualities are well transcribed but less than at 35 W. This liquid being greedy, it needs to be heated a minimum to fully appreciate the flavors of the lemon and the macaron.

My mood ticket on this juice

Friends, let's be honest, being a lover of fruity and delicious lemony liquids, I had to bring out the big guns to surprise me. I might as well tell you that I was waiting, lurking in the woods, ready to draw at the slightest imposture!

I inevitably lowered my weapons and raised the white flag, because the result is simply astonishing! The realism of the lemon, never too acidic, combined with this creamy macaroon, is divine.

I can only praise the flavorists for this work.

By delivering us a flawless copy, Airmust has set the bar very high in excellence, and we could name this liquid not like a lemon macaron, but Le Macaron Citron!

It is obviously a Top Vapelier.
