The Ello S succeeds the Ello and the Ello mini by Eleaf, it is a 25mm diameter sub-ohm type clearomizer. No need to rebuild your resistors to get a big vapor and to be able to go up to more than 100W. The Ello S accepts proprietary HW coils, there are four of them with different constructions, ranging from single coil to quadruple.
Depending on your resistance, the vape powers can vary between 30 and 130W if we are to believe the display on the coils, but in practice you should be in comfort zones between 45 and 90W, which is more realistic.
Easy to use, it is compact with a capacity of 2ml. But if that is not enough, the pack also offers an extension with an additional pyrex that allows to have a reservoir of 4ml.
This atomizer comes in several colors: blue, black, steel, apple green, gold or red and its entry-level price is very affordable.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
We are on a basic quality product in stainless steel but perfectly machined with a diameter of 25mm. No trace of apparent tools and perfect threads that fit effortlessly.
Although all stainless steel parts are well provided, the pyrex tank seems a little light. However, its 9mm height height greatly reduces the risk of breakage. In addition, a second tank of 18mm height is supplied with an extension to obtain an atomizer which thus offers a tank capacity of 4ml.
The adjustment of the airflow is easy thanks to a pivoting ring on its base. This offers a precise fit on a very generous cyclops opening with two openings that open and close simultaneously, having a large size of 15mm x 2mm each.
The filling is child's play, it is done from above by pushing the drip-tip with the thumb to slide the top-cap and offer a nice opening to fill the tank.
Made of very few parts, this atomizer is really easy to use and the change of resistance will be possible even if the tank is not empty.
The connecting pin is not adjustable and, in my opinion, a little fragile because, over time, this type of pin may relax to no longer ensure contact. So, be careful: if the resistance is not recognized on your box, consider the possibility that the contact is no longer made and push a little on this part, it should simply restore contact.
The tank seals are thick and well suited for excellent sealing.
We are on an entry-level product but beautiful bill, but beware of pyrex a little too fine for my taste.

The functions of this atomizer are defined in two words: Simplicity and Power.
Simplicity, in use with very few parts and a proprietary resistance ready made. Simplicity also for changing the resistance and filling the tank.
Power because it is made to vape on high values. Four resistors of type HW are proposed for this atomizer. Two are provided in the pack, the HW3 and the HW4. There is also a HW1 and an HW2, also made for high power, but not supplied.
- The triple-coil in kanthal HW3 offers a value of 0.2Ω. The displayed values propose a vape scale between 50 and 130W.
- The HW4 kanthal quad-coil offers a value of 0.3Ω. The values displayed on the resistor range from 50 to 110W.
- There is also the stainless steel mono-coil (SS316L) HW1, which offers a value of 0.2Ω for a power between 40 and 80W. This resistance is also the only one that can be used in temperature control mode.
- And finally, the dual-coil in kanthal HW2, which offers a value of 0.3Ω to vape between 30 and 70W.
All the values displayed depend mainly on the viscosity of your liquid and we will see that in use, these margins are more restricted. However, the very low resistance values that are offered to us should be more than enough for pretty clouds of vapor.
Attention also to the consumption of this atomizer. Both on the liquid and on the discharge of the battery, the Ello S is not economical!

The drip-tip supplied with the ello S is proprietary and type 810, it fits directly on the top cap. Made of black plastic, it has an external diameter of 15mm which is reduced internally with an opening diameter of 9mm, which offers a nice suction for direct inhalation.
It is entirely made of black polycarbonate in a form that is not totally straight but which superbly finishes this clearomizer.
In the mouth, it stays comfortable and dissipates the heat moderately.

The packaging is ideal, the box remains classic white cardboard, relatively solid. The set atomizer is protected by a dense foam. It is already equipped with a proprietary resistance, the HW3 and associated with a rather complete user manual in several languages. There is also a small box that contains some accessories:
- An additional pyrex tank for a larger tank
- An adapter for the extension of the tank
- A 4Ω quad-coil HW0.3 resistor
- Spare gaskets for sealing pyrex and resistors.
Note that the record is translated into several languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Greek.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
Composed of few parts, you just have to screw one of the resistance on the base, then screw the top-cap with the tank between the two parts. Fill with liquid, taking care to close the airflow beforehand and pushing on the cap to free the opening which will allow the insertion of the liquid. Finally, close the top-cap, re-open the airflow, wait a few minutes for the wick to soak up then you can vape!
You can also, beforehand, have started your resistance with a few drops of liquid directly on the cotton parts to avoid waiting too long.
For this test, only two resistors are at my disposal, the HW3 and the HW4:
For both, the limits displayed on the resistance are slightly optimistic.
For example, on the HW3 triple coil, 50W we feel that the power is insufficient. However, by limiting the airflow in half, we get a comfort of appreciable vape but the density of steam is a little fair compared to its capabilities. The result is similar to a 0.5Ω 35W dual coil resistor that consumes less. On the other hand, at 70W, we are good, big production of steam and a warm feeling with a very airflow airflow. At 90W, the fog is guaranteed and the pleasure of the vape is at its height.
Nevertheless the theoretical capacities of the resistance offered us a power of 130W. However, already at 100W, one can feel a too great heat that emerges from the evaporation chamber, to the lips by the drip-tip. In addition, the suction must be short not to cause a dry hit, which 130W becomes inevitable, especially if your liquid is loaded vegetable glycerin.
It is the same with the limits of the quad-coil in 0.3Ω, but Eleaf is well aware of this fact, since it has developed a table of correspondence of the values of vape for each reference of resistance, which proves very fair .
We therefore have for each element, a power range which is:
50 to 65W for HW1 in single coil stainless steel (SS316L) of 0.2Ω for temperature control according to user preference
45 to 60W for the 2Ω Kanthal HW0.3 double-coil
70 to 90W for the 3Ω kanthal triple-coil HW0.2
And 60 to 80W for the 4Ω Kanthal quad-coil HW0.3
This atomizer being of a good diameter and having the particularity of consuming a lot of liquid and power, it is preferable to use it on boxes which have a good autonomy, equipped with 3 or 4 18650 batteries with a sufficient connection plate. wide to accommodate the 25mm diameter of the Ello S.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The Ello S is made for savvy vapers wishing an atomizer that provides a large steam with significant power, around 70W on average, without the need to rebuild oneself resistances. It is best to pair with a box provided for this purpose, namely equipped with 3 or 4 battery to hold enough time without recharging.
The advantage of this atomizer, in addition to its simplicity, is to propose through the resistors, the possibility of varying its vape in single, double, triple or quadruple coil, while remaining in sub-ohm 0.2 or 0.3Ω, for vape powers between 45 and 90W. Even the temperature control mode is possible.
Its appearance is similar to that of a rebuildable with its large size that offers two configurations of liquid reserve with a tank of 2ml or 4ml.
While it is not a product of high technicality or revolutionary, but nevertheless, its price takes into account and is much sweeter than the competition. As for the flavors, without being exceptional with such powers, they remain very correct.
