Comments on the packaging

Today, Vape Rituals takes center stage for our review of the day. This brand is closely linked to Vaponaute Paris, a famous manufacturer of exceptional liquids.

The liquid that concerns us is called the Amathuba, which has nothing to do with an Andean camelid that would do scuba diving. The name, borrowed from Zulu, means “luck”, which fits well with the Barraka range from which it comes.

It is presented here in a 50 ml bottle of aroma that can be extended by 10 ml of booster if necessary or by 10 ml of neutral base.

Assembled on a 50/50 ratio of PG / VG, it falls into the fresh fruity category and you can also find it in 10 ml ready to vape for 5.90 € in 0, 3, 6 and 12 mg / ml. What to test before entering the deep end of the larger format or simply enjoying higher nicotine levels.

Come on, we're attacking. After all, I already feel that this juice will bring me luck!

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

Zulu or not, we know how to work in complete transparency at Vaponaute. Not only are all the requirements of the CLP respected but largely exceeded since the usual pictograms, not obligatory on an e-liquid without nicotine, are present here.

Another strong point, the brand does not hesitate to warn us of the presence of eucalyptol, anethol or β-damascenone for people who may be allergic to one of these molecules.

For hypochondriacs, don't panic too quickly. Eucalyptol is present in its natural state in, I give it to you in a thousand, eucalyptus but also in wormwood or mugwort. Anethole will be found in anise or fennel and β-damascenone in grapes. And the wine! 🤩

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Do the graphic design of the label and the name of the product agree? Yes

Comments on the packaging

The packaging is remarkably designed. A label with a solid burgundy red accommodates a pleasant logo evocative of four-leaf clover and the name of the liquid and the range in silver color. It is successful, very sober and full of elegance.

The information is clearly legible, written in black and we even have a blank space to enter the brand of the booster by hand as well as a dual display with seven segments allowing us to enter the level of nicotine obtained. This is the first time that I see it and, even if I have a doubt about the use of it by the vapers, it is sufficiently surprising to seduce.

Sensory appreciations

Comments on the taste of the juice

Amathuba features black grapes, berries, eucalyptus and a light dose of anise. If this reminds you of a famous red juice whose name I will not mention, Red Astaire, that's pretty normal. You can't blame a manufacturer for trying to capture market share of the world's best-selling liquid!

Having said that, it would be rather reductive because the Amathuba is very different in taste. Like what the a-priori have no value.

Here we have black grapes, with a nice aromatic definition, which mingles happily with berries, blueberries and blackcurrants in my opinion. The fruity impact is good, not very sweet and quite interesting. An anise note sometimes comes to remind our taste buds and brings the necessary pep to stand out from the crowd.

On the other hand, eucalyptus is very heavily dosed. I let the liquid blow for 48 hours, following the manufacturer's recommendations but, even after this period, the leaves of the plant interfere with the fruity taste which quickly fades, after a few puffs, in front of the power of this cloudiness. party.

And that's a shame because we fully feel the potential in this juice and the bias not to offer a super-sweet broth stuffed with E124 like its illustrious model. But alas, eucalyptus quickly becomes ubiquitous and reminds us of “medicinal” flavors that ruin the fruity efforts of Amathuba.

To be completely frank, I presume that a venting over a longer time would have the desired effect of calming the warlike ardor of the plant, but, between us, who will wait a week before enjoying a juice in 2021?

To be reserved therefore for eucalyptus lovers who will undoubtedly find their happiness here.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Bringing a little freshness in your vape, the Amathuba should be vaped in DL on a generous atomizer in order to calm the eucalyptus and at a rather reasonable power to respect the fruits.

My mood ticket on this juice

Amathuba is typical of the juice we would have loved to love. Black grapes, berries, a distant aftertaste of anise and a tiny dose of eucalyptus to refresh it all, the promise was beautiful.

The recipe suffers from a notable excess of eucalyptus which cannibalize the other flavors that we guess more interesting and that's a shame.

Nevertheless, considering the quality of the components, the flawless presentation and safety and the potential that one imagines, the potion of luck obtains a 4.17 far from being ridiculous. We find ourselves hoping for a quieter, smoother V2 for next summer.

An ace square to beat the flush of the cross-Channel benchmark, that would be perfect!
