Comments on the packaging

Vaponaute Paris takes us today to discover the paths of luck with its Barakka range, from its new brand Vape Rituals. This range includes seven fruity liquids. Seven original creations, such as the lucky number or the deadly sins. Symbols and superstitions are numerous around the world. From the rabbit's foot, to the horseshoe or the four-leaf clover, luck is all about karma. In South Africa, the Zulus call it “Amathuba” and Vaponaute made it into a liquid. So, will you try your luck?

Amathuba is presented in a 60ml flexible plastic bottle filled with 50ml of liquid, leaving room for the addition of a nicotine booster. The recipe is based on a PG / VG ratio of 50/50. Amathuba therefore offers a balanced vape, between flavor and vapor, which will delight everyone including first-time vapers.

Vaponaute specifies that this liquid is overdosed in aroma, it will therefore be necessary either to add a nicotine booster, or to supplement with 10ml of base to obtain an optimal flavor. Amathuba is also available in a small 10ml nicotine format in 0, 3, 6 or 12 mg / ml at a price of € 5,90. The 60ml bottle can be exchanged for € 21,90. It remains an entry level liquid. You can find Amathuba on the manufacturer's site or in many vape sites.

Comments on the packaging

The Barakka range features a magnificent 4-leaf clover on each of its visuals, with the name of the range and the name of the liquid underneath. The color of the label recalls the fruits of the recipe.

The design is sober, elegant and neat. Alternating matt and shiny, the label is really classy. On the back of it, you will find all the information you need for your consumption. A small downside, however, because it took me a magnifying glass to read all the information. I think an extra size or two of the font would be a really good idea. But hey… my eyesight is going down too! 😎 That said, the capacity, the PG / VG ratio and the nicotine level remain very readable.

Comments on the taste of the juice

Before starting the test, let me tell you that Amathuba is not the name of a fruit, you will not make yourself an Amathuba Pie for your birthday! It means lucky in Zulu. The chance to discover a liquid with red fruit flavors, fresh and embellished with a delicate anise note. As a precaution, I mount my dripper with a 0,8 Ω coil and use a power of 18 W. (I have often been fooled with fresh liquids which froze me on the spot ... 🥶)

Amathuba is surprising.

The flavor of black grapes is dominant with a tamed bitterness, its taste is very realistic. The little anise flavor (or is it the menthol playing tricks on me?) Accompanies it from start to finish. This freshness is very measured, controlled and makes Amathuba pleasant in the mouth and just tonic.

The flavors of red fruits are quite diffuse on inspiration and thicken at the end of the vape. It is a refined liquid, very pleasant and thirst-quenching that can easily be vaped in summer throughout the day if you are fans of freshness. The hit is light and the cool does not strengthen it. The vapor exhaled is normal given my configuration of vape.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 18 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Normal
  • Type of hit obtained at this power: Light
  • Atomizer used for the review: Flave 22 SS from Alliance Tech Vapor
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.8 Ω
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Nichrome, Holyfiber cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Vaponaute specified on its site that the Amathuba was enriched with aroma. It means two things. First of all, you will need to add a nicotine booster or 10ml of neutral base to have the optimal flavor in the mouth. Once the bottle is complete, I advise you to let it stand for 24 hours, with the cap open, protected from light so that the liquid is aerated and reveals its secrets to you!

Regarding tasting, the PG / VG ratio allows Amathuba to be tasted on all equipment. The freshness being perfectly dosed, no need to open the airflow fully. This is a light breeze, not a blizzard! You will be able to use the setting you like. I recommend a DLR or MTL atomizer to appreciate Amathuba at its fairest value.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of the day: Morning, Aperitif, All afternoon during everyone's activities, Early evening to relax with a drink, End of the evening with or without herbal tea
  • Can this juice be recommended as an allday vape: Yes

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.59 / 5 4.6 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

A very nice discovery at the beginning of summer, that's what I thought of Amathuba.

I salute the Vaponaute Paris team who know how to master freshness in their liquids so well. Amathuba is an elegant liquid, which goes off the beaten track and changes me from my gourmet and classic flavors. The little anise / mint taste will put your taste buds back in place and quench your thirst in the process.

The Vapelier gives a Top Juice with the score of 4,59 / 5 and wishes you a very nice summer!
