Age-Otori: from Japanese, the disappointment that one can feel when leaving the hairdresser.
I humbly admit it, my Japanese is a bit rusty (Editor's note: It is you who is rusty 🤣). So I copied identically the explanatory sentence on the bottle.
The Vaporium therefore continues its exploration of the habits and customs of our planet and takes us today to the shores of the empire of the rising sun for an e-liquid from its latest collection. We are hopeful that this reference will do as well as the others in terms of taste exploration, which has been the workhorse of the Girondin liquidator since the start of his artisanal adventure and which offers us flavors that are finally out of the ordinary. triangulation: fresh/gourmand/Red Astaire.
As usual, we therefore have 60 ml of overdosed aroma that will have to be extended to obtain 80 ml of liquid ready to vape. You can thus choose between 20 ml of booster to obtain 5 mg/ml, 10 ml of booster plus 10 ml of neutral base to obtain 3 mg/ml or even 20 ml of neutral base to vape in 0. Of course, we can also go beyond, the aromatic power being substantial but you would leave the ideal zone, fixed at 80 ml by the manufacturer.

We therefore have a sober label, evoking the artisanal preparation claimed by the brand and deploying the exhaustive list of flavors.
The background of the label is pink and gives pride of place to the house herbarium common to the entire range.

Comments on the taste of the juice
Age-Otori is complex, as one might expect. But, as is customary with the manufacturer, the taste sounds like a no-brainer. We don't have this impression of multilayers common to very elaborate liquids, but an overall surgical flavor which, little by little, is analyzed with hindsight and thus reveals all its richness.
First, we find a blackberry. And this is only the beginning because the black berry knows how to be sweet but at the same time develops a tiny dose of acidity which pushes it into the contours of a blue raspberry. To taste, this morph is exciting and it's just the beginning.
The blackberry/raspberry soon mutates into a blackcurrant which becomes predominant, imposing the slightly syrupy length on the palate typical of the fruit.
Around this aeropagus of berries emerge a soursop whose sweet and tangy dress elegantly coats the black and blue fruits and a dragon fruit, more subtle as one might expect, which gives a thickness in texture to the liquid and a very slight touch of citrus. It's almost imperceptible but pronounced enough to give the Age-Otori some “mash”.
We finish on a note of violet which colors the whole nicely. A discreet floral note that will remind gourmets of more confectionary moments.
A light veil of freshness, so diffuse that one wonders if it is real, energizes the end of the puff a little.
Here is what a perfect recipe looks like. A meticulous blend without a priori or mercantile vocation that develops a unique and bewitching flavor. Very Japanese in fact. It is a great vintage. Artist's work.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
Despite its complexity, Age-Otori is very versatile. It will be required in a majority of evaporation systems provided you check if yours is capable of withstanding the VG rate. Of course, it will reveal itself more easily in a precise atomizer.
Very comfortable all day, it refreshes pleasantly without icing the mouth and its taste is very constant. Sugar is in the minority in the equation and you are not likely to get bored. Perfect on its own, it will also go well with a fruity pear or peach sorbet or a simple glass of cold water.
