Comments on the packaging

Today, we continue our exploration of the XL line from D'Lice. A range that includes the biggest best-sellers of the brand, and there are many, to offer them to us in 50 ml of ready-to-boost.

After a very interesting Puffed Rice Nougat, we tackle hard with Virginie, a tobacco-flavored e-liquid like the Corrèze manufacturer has been offering us for a decade. An e-liquid that we would be greatly wrong to use only for first-time vapers, but shhh, I'm not telling you too much at this stage. 😉

Tobacco and D'Lice, it's an old story and the brand has made its mark in French vaping with, we still remember, liquids like Corsica or Gaillard, moreover still in the catalog.

Well, you will notice that I say “tobacco” and not “classic”. I know, that's not good ... but I promise you that as soon as we talk about classicologist instead of tobacco specialist or we say “anti-classic campaign” instead of “anti-tobacco campaign” or possibly that we will evoke “this film is a classic in the cinema”, I will get to it. 🙄 What is valid for some is not it for others?

I have in front of me a 50 ml bottle of aroma in a container that can accept 75 ml either, at your discretion, one or two boosters or even neutral base, depending on whether you will oscillate between 0 and 6 mg / ml of nicotine . For those who are starting out because this liquid is also aimed at them, there is however in 10 ml at rates of 0, 3, 6, 12 and 18 mg / ml HERE. On the other hand, it will be necessary to accept to go up in 70% of PG while our star of the day displays a median ratio of 50/50 of PG / VG.

Here is an e-liquid which has been in the catalog for a long time but which is here given a second life in large format. Will he be able to find his audience? This is what we will endeavor to find out no later than now.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

D'Lice is one of the most advanced French manufacturers in terms of legislation and transparency. Obtaining the voluntary AFNOR label is undeniable proof of this. It is therefore not surprising to find that everything is perfectly in order on the label.

Compliant with CLP and all possible health regulations, it goes even further by offering all the pictograms, however not mandatory, on an e-liquid without nicotine but so appropriate for a liquid intended to be boosted. Some competitors could take the seed ...

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Do the graphic design of the label and the name of the product agree? Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in line with the price category: Could do better for the price

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 4.17 / 5 4.2 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

The packaging is sober, simple, efficient. A flat white on which beige mentions stand out to signify the category of the liquid.

In the absence of being aesthetically daring or innovative, it is clear and detailed at the informative level and, once again, completely in accordance with the legislation in force.

Comments on the taste of the juice

I'll be honest. I was a little apprehensive while testing this liquid to find myself with a very old-school juice taking us back to the prehistory of the vape. Total error.

Here we have the archetype of tobacco that will be able to appeal to a very wide audience of vapers, from the feverish beginner to the most jaded geek.

The liquid is aptly named and therefore offers us a very mature and ripe Virginian tobacco, having been matured in the sun long enough to take on naturally sweet notes. There is a slight bitterness there, which is quite natural for the category, but finely roasted and caramelic notes counterbalance the ardor by giving a sweetness to the general taste.

The texture is rather dry but the very fine balance between sweet notes and bitterness combined offers us a very interesting liquid, vapable in all-day and never provoking too many sensations.

This finesse in the work of the flavourist is palpable and remarkable on the palate. An art which seems simple but which, inevitably, is not.

Tasting recommendations

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

The big news is that the PG / VG ratio of this XL version allows all the daring. Perfect in MTL in a precise and tight atomizer, it thrives just as well in a nag material and will take care of generating as many clouds as you want.

Lukewarm / hot temperature is essential, we are not on an icy mint and above all, you will vape it all the holy day without feeling the slightest disgust or weariness.

The aromatic power is rather substantial and will allow the addition of two boosters without any problem.

  • Can this juice be recommended as an all-day vape: Yes

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.59 / 5 4.6 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

We could have vilified the manufacturer's lack of risk-taking by proposing a new format for known, recognized and proven e-liquids. I much prefer to make the following two remarks:

First of all, the 50/50 ratio is a real added value in taste for Virginia, which is transformed and softened to best correspond to the new habits of recent vapers.

Then, we will never blame Dior for selling us Eau Sauvage today, when this perfume is 55 years old on the counter! Why then do it here, when a manufacturer so closely linked to the adventure of vaping, offers us a positive evolution of a reference?

A piece of history, a taste that passes through time and fashions. In short, Top!
