After a brilliant Dark Virginia and an excellent Kentucky already reviewed in our columns, today we are tackling Planifolia which takes root in the “Les Exclusifs” range from Vaping In Paris. Exclusive, yes, but why? Because they come from a collaboration with a big Swiss shop called Soho Vape.
Vaping In Paris, you already know if you read us. It's an interesting brand in more than one way. Firstly by using aromas of natural origin, as is the case here. Then, in the choice of a 100% vegetable base. And finally, the refusal of any sweetener, coloring or synthetic refreshing molecule. A very clear bias to always be as close to natural as possible.
Our liquid, Planifolia, comes in a 60 ml bottle filled with 40 ml of overdosed aroma. What is prescribed by the manufacturer is to add 20 ml of nicotine base or not, which would bring you to a level of 0 if you add neutral base, to 3 mg/ml if you add 10 ml of base and 10 ml booster and approximately 6 mg/ml if you add two boosters.
This will not be my recommendation. I would rather advise you to add only 10 ml, either base or booster. With 20 ml, the dilution is too great and you lose track of the taste.
The liquid is available in all of the brand's partner shops, online or physical, at €19.90. Average price for the category for a 50 ml. This means that the price is higher than normal. This is justified by the use of natural flavors and high quality compounds.
The base is 50/50 MPG/VG. A good choice to have a balance between volume of vapor and sharpness of flavors.

Nothing to declare in this chapter. Vaping In Paris is a serious manufacturer so everything is there and, what's more, very clear and readable.
Just a small complaint that isn't really a complaint. The lack of display of the nicotine level (0) on the bottle. This is not important given that with its capacity, we suspect that there is no nicotine in it but, to use Talleyrand's expression: "If that goes without saying, it will go even better in saying it!”

Comments on the packaging
Always sobriety and elegance in the brand's aesthetic choices. A very deep black background serves as a support for a pretty vanilla orchid, undoubtedly the planifolia mentioned in the name of the juice.
Information in metallic gold stands out perfectly and the rest of the lettering is in immaculate white, very becoming and readable.
In short, a winning combo, aesthetic, precious and elegant.

Comments on the taste of the juice
From the first puff, you know where you live!
A delicate virginia type tobacco welcomes us, quite deep for the variety and not very powerful. It types the puff towards the plant and immediately stands out as a good ingredient in the recipe. It lacks a bit of blondness, a bit of roughness to be 100% convincing but, as is, it is quite pleasant.
A note of vanilla soon joins it, bringing an ilian and sweet touch to the tobacco. Vanilla is based on a natural flavor and you can feel it. It does not allow any chemical excess and colors the harshness of blonde.
A very transparent caramel note seems to emerge at times. Rather bitter, it combines with the sugar provided by vanilla.
We therefore have a gourmet tobacco, in the most classic sense of the term. And that’s probably where the problem lies. Indeed, we find ourselves somewhere in between which, while remaining very pleasant to vape, lacks a clear character. Not enough tobacco for tobacco lovers, especially when they are of natural origin as is the case. Not indulgent enough for those expecting more regressive pleasure.
A clearer choice could certainly have appealed. Here, we remain happy but a little hungry. Too bad because each aroma seems to be of high quality. It is undoubtedly in the balance that clearer decisions should have been made.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
As soon as you follow my dilution advice at the start of the review, you will be able to easily vape Planifolia on your preferred system. MTL pods, atomizers or RDL clearomizers, nothing seems to scare the liquid. Be sure to promote a powerful vape so as to reach a good temperature to serve the purpose of the juice.
Planifolia is quite elegant when tasting espresso or even with a good single malt.

My mood ticket on this juice
In vaping as in cooking, it's all a question of dosage. Here, what took precedence was the choice to make a liquid that would please everyone. Not too tobacco, not too gourmand. But we know that a product is never unanimous. What is branded evokes character and always finds, even if it is niche, fans to adore it.
I'm afraid that here, the Planifolia will hesitate too much to convince. And it's a shame because we feel that the desire to do well is there, that the natural flavors are of high quality and we see perfectly where the creators wanted to go. Without doubt, a rebalancing could bring about a beautiful transformation which would reveal Planifolia as it should be: a clean, powerful tobacco, enriched with a few subtle notes of delicacies.
