After a particularly successful Violet Melon, Flavor Hit comes back with another great specialty from the South of France, Pastis.
The Alsatian manufacturer has accustomed us to a very precise, very pure vision of the tastes in the vape. He is confronted here with a challenge on which a good number of competitors have broken their teeth. Indeed, aniseed alcohol is more complex than it seems at first glance. Combining green anise, star anise, fennel and liquorice, the drink invented by Paul Ricard © when absinthe was banned is sometimes extended with verbena or various aromatic herbs. Contrary to popular belief, there is a wide variety of brands and therefore as many different recipes.
Located in the Authentic range but this time in the “gourmet” category, our potion of the day finds its container in a 10 ml bottle sold at a price of 5.50 €. It is assembled on a 70/30 PG / VG base which will allow it to be used by beginners and experienced alike. The future challenges of a TPD 2, let's say ... worrying, have been well understood by the manufacturer and the information displayed converges towards a visible desire to make a perfect product in the field of safety.
It is even specified that the e-liquid contains anethole, an organic compound naturally present in fennel, anise or lime, in case you are allergic to it. Rest assured, if you drink a little Jaune from time to time without having angioedema, that you eat fennel without tripling in volume or that you gorge yourself with soothing herbal tea when you sleep without choking, you have a lot of more chance of winning the lottery than having an anaphylactic shock with the e-liquid version!

Comments on the packaging
We find here the same aesthetic codes that we had noticed in the Melon Violette of the same range. Purity of design, discreet elegance and black bottle allowing better filtration of the light harmful to the conservation of the liquid.
The only difference concerns the background, here in parchment color. It is common to the “gourmet” category of the range. The “fruity” category is displayed in burgundy, that of tobacco in brown and menthol in English green.
Efficient, discreet and quite classy. Good game !

Comments on the taste of the juice
It's hard not to be instantly won over by Flavor Hit's version of this taste classic. All the elements match in perfect harmony for an e-liquid that perfectly meets its promise.
The drink's atypical taste is perfectly felt with an ideal dosage between green anise and star anise (star anise). The first imposes its slightly spicy appearance and the second its more aromatic, rounder and sweet sensitivity. The liquorice is not to be outdone, it is very present and gives a long flavor in the mouth and more textured to the whole. The whole is very convincing and benefits from a balance which commands respect.
An effect of freshness is also part of the game, probably due to finely dosed menthol and subtly contributes to the successful evocation of the southern aperitif. Not caricature and remaining wisely in the mouth, the cold invites itself without cannibalizing the other aromas while enhancing them.
Excellent work by the manufacturer's flavorists, the Pastis is a success quite worthy of its illustrious model.

Pastis will have its place in all atomizers of anise aficionados, whether they are beginners, confirmed or experts in vaping.
With a beautiful aromatic power, the liquid is compatible with all materials, whether MTL, DL or RDL. For the same reason, it will support a large supply of air for a gourmet finish or a more restricted airflow for a concentration of the taste, a bit like you would dose your water in the reference aperitif.
Special mention to the volume of steam, very surprisingly abundant and textured for the displayed ratio.

My mood ticket on this juice
Flavor Hit, once again, convinces us of its aromatic mastery. Having tested several references around Pastis, I only found two that are successful and our liquid of the day is one of them.
The balance is perfect, the flavors well defined and the freshness correctly measured. The results are just as positive in the other chapters of the test. This rigor and the quality of the result are remarkable and benefit from a Top Juice more than necessary to salute the performance. The ball is therefore in the camp of the southern manufacturers.
