Comments on the packaging

The latest offshoot of the Drip Maniac range from Liquidator Mixup Labs, the Lemon Bastard is entering the arena.

It is therefore with a lemon pie recipe that the Basque manufacturer wants to close a fine collection of fruity desserts, some of which are absolute nuggets of gluttony.

The lemon pie is a bit like the imposed figure of the discipline. Everyone has tried it, some have succeeded, but the podium in this area has rarely moved. We therefore hope that the Hendaye brand will be able to offer a credible alternative to the heavyweights of pastry.

So here we have a 70 ml format filled with 50 ml of overdosed aroma. Enough to extend it cheerfully by 10 or 20 ml of neutral or nicotine base in order to obtain 60 or 70 ml of the result, on a scale of rates between 0 and 6 mg/ml of nicotine. For those who prefer the joys of DIY, there is also a 30 ml concentrate for 12.90 € available here.

The Lemon Bastard is built on a 30/70 PG/VG base. This base is exclusively vegetable. No propylene glycol of petrochemical origin here, it's smooth, “natural”. Obviously, the viscosity of the liquid will reserve it for confirmed vapers and specific atomizers. Heavy cloud is in the forecast!

Transparency and clarity. These are the two breasts that will allow the vape to resist legislation that is getting tougher around the world.

The manufacturer has understood this well. Its behavior is exemplary and it shows on the label.

Comments on the packaging

The Lemon Bastard in question is a bearded blond bodybuilder and tattooed. A kind of younger Hulk Hogan! He joins the gallery of bad boys and bad girls in the Heads Up range!

As always, it's nice, well done, a bit scoundrel. Very much in the Drip Maniac spirit!

Comments on the taste of the juice

The Lemon Bastard is a beautiful interpretation of the favorite dessert of many gourmands. Well made and very balanced, it is not a revolution but a convincing and perfectly recommendable personal adaptation.

First of all, it's a lemony cream, very thick, which gives pride of place to lemon but also has some notes of lime which accentuate the tangy aspect of the assembly. Very sweet, as it should be, it does not overlook more astringent aspects which make the tasting pleasant and full of pep.

Later in the puff, there is a very supple meringue whose realistic taste sifts the lemony ardor of the fruit.

A more diffuse note of shortbread seems to intrude at the end of the mouth and thus creates, with the meringue, a very believable and surprisingly long gourmet base in the mouth, which leaves some sweet reminiscences on the lips.

The recipe is complete, the acidity/sugar proportions almost perfect. We are not deceived on the goods, if I dare say.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

For very pleasant gourmet moments. To vape solo and in power, on a fairly unbridled atomizer, in DL or RDL. The aromatic power being good, you can afford to aerate it without losing flavor.

A lukewarm temperature will be appropriate.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of the day: Morning, End of lunch / dinner with a coffee, Early evening to relax with a drink, Night for insomniacs
  • Can this juice be recommended as an all-day vape: No

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.59 / 5 4.6 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

Mixup Labs' Lemon Bastard is deserving. It is not easy to exist in a specific category where every liquidator in the world makes a similar proposal.

Here however, we have a very successful variation, which brings a small proportion of lime into the equation, a notable novelty which justifies the existence of the liquid.

It is therefore more than enough to recommend this liquid to dessert aficionados, especially since the interpretation is balanced, very tasty but also fruity.

Will this juice upset the hierarchy in place? Maybe not. But it's enough to be highly recommended and get a deserved Top Vapelier.
