Middle Kingdom puffs.
VAAL is a recent Chinese brand in the art of the vape and it is not abnormal if its name means nothing to you. On the other hand, I am convinced that you have heard of Joyetech, which has written some of the most beautiful pages in the history of vaping and which has largely participated in its expansion.
Well, don't look. Vaal is the division of Joyetech in charge of the puff part of the Chinese giant, a bit like Zovoo is that of Voopoo.
Many references are already available but the one that caught our attention is the Glaz Bar because it is distributed in France in 20 mg / ml of nicotine, which seems appropriate to us to undertake smoking cessation.
Like a majority of puffs, it focuses on rather fruity, sweet and fresh flavors but these are the tastes most in demand by consumers so we are not going to complain about it.
The packaging is standard but pro, clean and completely within the nails of the legislation. A cardboard box with all the information and pictograms required, a crimped aluminum bag containing the device, a silicone tip on the drip-tip and a sticker on the lower part to block the airflow so that there is no untimely tripping during transport. Of course, you will take care to remove these appendages at the time of use.
The technical literature is reduced to its simplest expression, but we immediately notice the formal quality of the object. Entirely in polycarbonate, it is rather small, around 95 mm and has a tubular form factor with a diameter of around 20 mm. It therefore fits well in a jeans pocket and the material inspires confidence both in terms of protection against bacteria and in terms of its solidity.
The included battery displays 400 mAh of autonomy, which may not seem like much but will be enough to atomize the 2 ml of liquid inside. All ensuring between 500 and 800 puffs, depending on your way of vaping. The longer, deeper and more frequent the puffs, the less autonomy there will be, which seems quite logical.
The resistance is 1.8 Ω and the draw ensures a medium term between MTL not too constrained and RDL tight. The cloud of vapor is therefore rather advantageous and the vape pleasant, both in terms of the reaction time of the device and the density in the mouth. The device has a led at its end which does not necessarily light up discreetly when vaping. But we've had much worse!
The Glaz Bar being a new product, it is not yet very widespread but you can find it around 7.50 € in all the good physical shops or online. For professionals, it will be easy to get it by following this link.
However, we still have to go around the flavors to see if this puff is competitive with the tenors in the sector.

Frosted Pineapple
A bottled pineapple that skillfully mixes sweetness and acidity.

A rather soft and sweet cola that lacks a little bit of pep to convince.
As it is, it's not bad but it's closer to a landmark brand than the famous American cola.

A surprising and vegetal mix. We come across a strawberry, maybe a blueberry, but everything remains imprecise.

We have the creamy texture of the ice cream and its freshness.
But the strawberry is anemic, reduced to the status of sweetening stooges.

It appears surreptitiously at the end of the puff and slightly sweetens the bitterness of the star fruit.

A realistic Golden, which gives pride of place to the balance between sweetness and acidity.
Sweet without caricature, it even allows itself hints of pips.

Heat wave plan triggered!
The hardware part does not pose any problem and is reliable, stable and rather generous. Beyond its small format and its serious construction.
The flavors are rather classic but are divided into two very distinct parts. There are successful tastes and those that are missed. Those who are successful are frankly recommendable, the others should be avoided. It is quite rare, within the same range, to see such a dichotomy. To take its place in an already saturated market, it will probably be necessary to review certain recipes that lack character or others that miss their point.
It's a shame because we expected a lot from Vaal as a subsidiary of Joyetech but this range, as it stands, will not shake up the established taste order and compete with the tenors of the sector, WPuff, Pulp, Xbar, Geekbar or Zovoo. or even good challengers like Tribal Force.
