Le Vaporium, a French manufacturer of liquids located in the South-West in Bordeaux, offers its new Darwinners range of juices with names referring to various carnivorous plants or insects whose visuals are fun and really well done.
Phasme Explosif comes from this collection of liquids which currently includes nine juices, available in two formats. They are therefore offered in vials containing 30 or 60 ml of product respectively displayed at the price of €12,00 or €24,00.
The base of the recipe is 100% plant-based. We therefore find, in the composition of the recipe, vegetable propylene glycol (PGV) coming from organic, vegetable and 100% natural raw materials. PGV replaces classic propylene glycol, of petrochemical origin.
This substance is recommended for people who have trouble with classic PG, it has the same properties as PG by being gentler on the throat while accentuating the effects of nicotine and restoring the flavors well.
The basis of the recipe displays a PG/VG ratio of 40/60 and the nicotine level is of course zero given the quantity of product offered. The bottle can accommodate up to 100 ml of liquid, making the addition of nicotine easier and done directly in the vial.
Phasme Explosif is overdosed in aroma so as not to distort the flavors. Examples of nicotine dosage are indicated on the bottle label, for those wishing to stay with a zero nicotine level, it will then be necessary to add neutral base. Vaporium recommends an ideal dosage with a final quantity of product of 80 ml, i.e. the addition of two boosters to flirt with 6 mg/ml or a single booster and 10 ml of neutral base to stay well below 3 .

Honestly, I love the visuals of this range, Le Vaporium really put the emphasis on the aesthetics of the labels for a superb result!
The visuals fit perfectly with the name of the juices, the illustrations are very clear and well detailed. Below the insect in question we find a brief description of its characteristics, it’s fun and original!
The bottle tip detaches so that you can easily add boosters or the neutral base, it’s practical and well-designed.
You will have understood, I am won over by the packaging, it is very well done and finished, well done the artist!

Comments on the taste of the juice
Phasme Explosif is a fruity liquid with flavors of yuzu, grapefruit and other secret citrus fruits.
The citrus scents come out very well when opening the bottle, soft sweet notes also emerge, the smell is light and pleasant.
The flavors of yuzu appear upon inhalation with a very present aromatic power. Its very particular taste, a mixture of lime and grapefruit, is well transcribed. Yuzu has a very pronounced acidity but without being aggressive.
The flavors of the grapefruit soften the whole thing at the end of the tasting, thanks to the juicy and delicately sweet notes it provides. Its bitterness is much more attenuated than the acidity previously perceived. The grapefruit seems to be accompanied by subtle notes of orange which somewhat accentuate the juicy and sweet side and subdue the bitter aspects.
The homogeneity between the olfactory and taste sensations is perfect, despite the very present acidity of the liquid, Phasme Explosif remains light.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
Phasme Explosif will be suitable for most existing equipment, however you will have to be careful with its viscosity due to its PG/VG ratio of 40/60 which may not be suitable for certain MTL configurations especially if you chain-vape a little.
A restricted draw will accentuate the tangy flavors of the yuzu while with a more open draw the balance of the recipe will then be preserved and allow the grapefruit to express itself fully.

My mood ticket on this juice
The Vaporium has definitely not finished surprising us with this range of liquids, thanks to the combination of flavors present in the recipes!
Indeed, I find that the choice of the flavorist was really judicious and well thought out, Phasme Explosif has flavors with similar or even similar taste characteristics while complementing each other perfectly!
This is particularly the case with the tangy and bitter notes of yuzu which are gradually softened by the much sweeter bitterness of the grapefruit, I really appreciated the mix of these two flavors!
Phasme Explosif will be perfect for all lovers of controlled acidity and bitterness with the added benefit of a pleasant lightness thanks to its 100% natural base.
