Today, we are taking the road to Yvelines because it is with Swoke that we have an appointment to test a new e-liquid. It's good to come back to this manufacturer who, while he generally brings good times to lovers of fresh fruit, has also concocted some beautiful gourmet nuggets for us.

So, today, it is a gourmet tobacco that we are going to analyze from all angles. It's called Losange and won a second prize at Vapexpo in the “Classic” category in 2022, which is far from trivial.

Our candidate of the day comes in two formats. 10 ml for €5.90 which offers four levels of nicotine: 0, 3, 6 and 12 mg/ml. And the 5o ml version which is the subject of this evaluation which costs €19.90.

The liquid is assembled on a 50/50 PG/VG base, a logical choice for a gourmet tobacco.

It's difficult to be more complete.

Not only are all the figures imposed by the legislator rigorously respected but are even anticipated by the manufacturer. Which informs us in complete transparency of the presence of sucralose and furaneol, which should not pose a problem to anyone except a few ayatollahs. Aesthetic concern has been in Swoke’s DNA from the start. One might believe that it is a pure act of marketing but, for the brand, it is more a passion for the image.

Here, Swoke leaves the cozy comfort of the usual manga universes in the brand's imagery to offer us a very successful bottle in its design which evokes the Australian landscapes and the fauna found there.

In addition, the bottle is always badged “Ozone”, a usual occurrence at Swoke, a guarantee that carbon compensation has been paid by the manufacturer.

In short, I really fell in love with the very beautiful presentation of the label.

Comments on the taste of the juice

What is remarkable from the first puffs is the great sense of balance demonstrated by Losange. The confrontation between the tobacco and the gourmet side resulted in a satisfactory draw.

The tobacco part is very present in the mouth and evokes a blend of Virginia and Burley tending towards the blond aspects of the plant. Rather round than sharp, the tobacco convinces from the start of the puff. Rather powerful, we even sense a hint of harshness which quickly disappears as soon as the greedy friends enter the arena.

There are two of these. We have a sweet but rather dry caramel which will color the tobacco without making it lose its aura. Then, the macadamia nut expresses its very particular taste, a nut by definition but with a buttery note which gives all its charm.

The result is attractive and realistic at the same time. Of course, you have to love macadamia nuts to appreciate this liquid but, if so, it will be a convincing taste experience, balanced to perfection, which will seduce lovers of new flavors around a seductive tobacco.

Losange will be a companion of choice when tasting a strong espresso or as a complement to a single malt or a cognac.

Its viscosity allows it to haunt all vaping devices without problem. Be sure to keep it at a fairly warm temperature and have an MTL or RDL draw.

In a nutshell, Losange is a success whose secret lies in its aromatic precision and balance. It reveals itself little by little but ends up convincing and quickly becomes an excellent vaping companion.

The macadamia nut is treated here as an important protagonist and not as a moral guarantee drowned in three liters of vanilla. This is what may be surprising at first. This is what seduces you afterwards.
