The vape of tomorrow.
I think everyone knows it now, the puffs are doing their last lap and will be banned by the public authorities at the end of 2023 at the beginning of 2024. So much the better for ecology, so much the better if that reassures parents. And so much the worse for the remarkable work that they will have accomplished by putting to the vape number of smokers who appreciated its ease of use.
The collateral effect is that the whole ecosystem of the vape is forced in a very limited time to find solutions in order to address this public fond of “plug & play” equipment. And, as so often, it is in old recipes that we find the result of this complex equation.
SKE is a Chinese player, specializing in disposable devices and pre-filled pods. It is therefore a question here, like tobacco companies, of making a refillable pod where only the cartridge is thrown away when it is finished. Thus, we keep the most polluting material containing the battery and we use sealed cartridges, filled with liquid, as requested by the TPD.
It is with the Crystal Plus that SKE arrives at a turnkey solution. This pod is small, has a parallelepipedal shape and packs a 400 mAh battery, which would be quite weak if the device did not benefit from a fully functional USB-C charging port.
The aesthetic is quite sexy and favors transparencies. The materials use polycarbonate with some metal parts. Rigged with its cartridge, we arrive at dimensions of 100 mm in height, 16 mm in width and a completely contained weight of 34 g. The device delivers 11 W with a very pleasant MTL draw and above all suitable for puff aficionados.
The cartridges carry 2 ml of liquid and a mesh resistance of 1.1 Ω. They are transparent, which is extremely smart to see the level of remaining liquid and are equipped with a silicone straw. I explain to you. This straw that protrudes from the mouthpiece is used to prime the cartridge to prevent the liquid from evaporating or deteriorating in transport. When pulled on it, it raises a shutter case which contained the liquid in the tank, thus revealing the orifices through which the juice enters the resistance. By pulling harder, the straw breaks at a predetermined location, allowing you to vape. It's a great initiative, simple to design and use.
The liquids are with nicotine salts and the dosage is 20 mg/ml, an ideal rate for beginner users for whom this type of material is intended. To my knowledge, there are no other rates available at this time.
The device itself will be offered quickly at a price of 9.90 € and the cartridges at 8.90 € both. You will find them in all the good physical or online shops, in principle avoid the bad ones 😉! And professionals will find it at LCA Distribution.
In use, we notice a good quality of vape. It's MTL, of course, but quite generous in steam all the same. The hit is well pronounced. The power is perfect, the draw/hit/accuracy combo is remarkable and marks a big evolution compared to puffs.
Ergonomics is just as important since the object is very simple and the cartridge change very intuitive. We appreciate the discretion of the kit, its lightness and its comfortable grip. The battery comes in five colors as shown above.
But the replacement of the puff should not be confined to hardware. Puffs introduced new taste habits too. Fresh fruit, liquids with little VG, a lot of sweet tastes, are all imposed figures. And I suggest you take a tour of the flavors available to see if the proposal corresponds to the demand in this area!

Little but strong !
A very well thought out material with a light and correctly sized battery. Precise cartridges, with a fleshy and adapted rendering. Interesting liquids and generally very efficient and above all having learned well from the puff episode.
We therefore have a combo that borders on perfection and will, no doubt, meet the challenge of the planned absence of disposable devices.
The negatives are few. Everything is very coherent and pleasant. The puff is dead, long live the Crystal! Top Vapelier for the cohesion of the whole!
