Comments on the packaging

Aimé is a French e-liquid brand. Cock-a-doodle Doo ! The brand remains relatively unknown to the general public, and that's a shame. It is the “boutique” brand of Nicovip, a major player in the vaping sector. So you can find her here but also in some online stores.

The brand has no less than 36 references in all possible categories: tobacco, fruits, gourmets ... There are 10 ml with different nicotine dosage, e-liquids on certified organic bases, 200 ml and 50 ml including one of the best-selling references will interest us today.

It is therefore Caramel Beurre Salé, a great taste classic in vaping. Here, we find an e-liquid containing mono-propylene glycol (non-vegetable), one of the three available kinds of PG, and vegetable glycerin for a ratio of 50/50. And, of course, food flavors as usual.

The most striking element, at this stage, is the astonishing price: 12.90 € for 50 ml, excluding any promotion. Which makes it one of the most interesting brands on this point. Better, when ordering, you can choose between three nicotine levels: 0, 3 and 6 mg / ml. In 0, you will get the 50ml aroma bottle that can hold 70ml of liquid in total. In 3 mg / ml, a free booster will be added to you to obtain 60 ml of nicotine liquid. In 6 mg / ml, two free boosters will be provided to you and you will be able to have 70 ml of nicotine liquid. To my knowledge, this price, which also includes all the necessary boosters, is not very widespread.

The flask is made of flexible plastic, perfectly suited to filling many atomizers and the dropper (dropper) can be unscrewed in order to easily insert your booster (s).

In short, this all starts off very well. Clear names, certainly classic flavors in vaping but always effective, especially for beginners or confirmed audiences. It only remains to check if the product is compliant and if it is good in order to check if the quality / price ratio is as interesting as it seems.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

There is no dead end around compliance and legality. All the imposed figures are present, including the pictograms, however dispensable on the non-nicotine bottles. Everything is very clear and allows the consumer to get a precise idea of the liquid he has in hand.

Better still, the manufacturer informs of the presence of heliotropin, a chemical compound found naturally in vanilla or pepper. Nothing alarming, this compound is present in many liquids without saying it but the brand makes a point of honor to warn the possible allergic people. I found the approach healthy, it demonstrates Aimé's desire to display a clear and detailed composition. Well done !

Comments on the packaging

The packaging will undoubtedly not win a first design prize but, failing that, it is pleasant to look at and very clear in its layout. The brand logo, in bright red, stands out from the khaki / brown / beige background typical of the reference whose name is affixed at the bottom of the label.

It is therefore the concern for clarity that prevails here as well. An important asset at a time in the history of vaping where we will have to show our white paws if we want the inquisitorial indictments of the EC not to hit us too violently in 2022. The brand has understood this well and prefers play the game rather than being singled out. It is well seen!

Comments on the taste of the juice

The simplicity of an aroma is singularly difficult to achieve. The equation is known. If you have ten flavors present in an e-liquid, it's a safe bet that the consumer will first refer to the one he prefers. On the other hand, if you offer a caramel, it is still necessary that this caramel be recognizable and good to vape. You are not allowed to make mistakes on what is falsely called a “mono-aroma”.

Rest assured, Aimé's Caramel Beurre Salé is a success. The recipe is well known, as simple as an omelet, but the result is realistic and delicious. We have here a rather soft caramel, very slightly vanilla, with fleeting notes of salt. No harshness as sometimes in certain “lively” caramels. It is soft and pleasant on the palate.

Likewise, no excess sugar, the liquid is rather dry for a gourmand, which I personally appreciate, and the length in the mouth is correct.

This liquid is aimed at a particular target, which, let's not be mistaken, the majority of vapers: consumers looking for simple and obvious recipes. No doubt, the liquid will lack a little character or originality for gourmets and other geeks of the vape but, as it is, it vapes with pleasure and largely stands the comparison with similar e-liquids but much more expensive. .

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Tested on a dripper but also on a basic clearomizer, Salted Butter Caramel feels the same way. Its aromatic power is correct and is enough to do its job of pleasantly scenting the puffs.

The volume of vapor is consistent with the ratio of PG / VG, the texture rather dry, which will avoid nausea over long sessions of vape. Be careful not to heat it up too much, it tends to become more aggressive if it is too heckled by unsuitable heat.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of the day: Morning, Morning - coffee breakfast, Morning - chocolate breakfast, End of lunch / dinner with a coffee, All afternoon during everyone's activities, Early evening to relax with a glass, End of the evening with or without herbal tea, The night for insomniacs
  • Can this juice be recommended as an allday vape: Yes

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.59 / 5 4.6 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

Finally, it is a matter of understanding who this liquid is intended for. Is it cut out for cloud-contests or an ultragenerous vape in vapor? No. Is he the next Five Pawns with a string-cut recipe assembled by a Michelin-starred chef? No more.

Does it keep pace with the majority of demand for simple, proven recipes that most people want to vape? Yes, largely. Is he good ? Yes, without any doubt. Is it expensive? No, it's not even expensive at all. Is it well assembled, well packaged and secure? Yes, amply.

Does this Salted Butter Caramel taste like real salted butter caramel? Affirmative.

Does a “very simple mono-aroma” have the right to a Top Juice? Sure. We're not snobs at the Vapelier. 😉
