Comments on the packaging

After detours in Mayan, Inca and Mesopotamia, here we are back in France with a typical product of the Pays de la Loire, the Melon Galia. This specific water fruit with green flesh is very popular with fine palates and Flavor Power has made it an e-liquid for lovers of tender fruity notes. Joining the peloton of juices of the same type while bringing a specificity that I look forward to tasting, a cucurbitaceae from the Loire made by an Auvergnat manufacturer, that necessarily calls out.

Presented in a plastic vial equipped with a very fine tip and therefore perfect for your fillings, Melon Galia is available in 0, 3, 6 and 12mg / ml of nicotine. In my opinion, a rate of 16 or 18mg / ml is missing to complete this beautiful series and also to seduce first-time vapers in search of their dose to get rid of cigarettes.

All the necessary information is on the label in great quantity and the consumer will quickly know what he is dealing with. The manufacturer does not quibble with this important aspect of the vape and we can only congratulate him.

Mounted on a 50/50 base, the Melon Galia is aimed at beginners and intermediates in the vape but also the most confirmed among us. Mono-aroma by nature, this does not in any way mean that this liquid is not complex to assemble, on the contrary. It is often even more difficult to build a good mono-aroma than a more complex juice.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

On this point, how crucial nowadays, the manufacturer has put large dishes in small.

Indeed, nothing is missing to satisfy the wishes of the legislator or his whims, it is according to the point of view. DLUO, mandatory logos, notice appearing by lifting the repositionable label, first opening ring, child safety standards, manufacturer contacts, batch number and detailed composition enamel the poor label which had not requested as much. But this is soothing and healthy at this particular moment of a new art of taste where the public authorities put their hands in the engine without really knowing the mechanics ...

I note the presence of Milli-Q water in the composition. It is a normal and healthy additive which often enters the list of the elements present to increase the vapor at higher temperature while making the mixture more fluid so as to make it compatible with the majority of atomizers.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Do the graphic design of the label and the name of the product agree ?: Ok
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Bof
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: No

Comments on the packaging

It is obviously difficult to put so much information on such a small bottle while maintaining a certain readability and a coherent graphic concept.

Here, the information somewhat parasitizes the aesthetics of the packaging and it's a shame because it is above all the brand image of a manufacturer that we are depriving ourselves of. Rather anonymous, the bottle will have difficulty in visually appealing and additional harmonization work seems necessary to me in order to combine legal notices and personality.

Another downside: some mentions were added post-printing in a rather fragile ink that does not hold. Thus, the nicotine level, the BBD and the batch number are caused to vanish under the effect of the slightest drop of liquid, which would be damaging in view of the compliance work provided in the case of an inspection by example or even for the consumer.

Sensory appreciations

  • Color and product name agree ?: Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree ?: Yes

  • This liquid reminds me of: A very sweet galia melon

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 4.38/5 4.4 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

From the start, the aromatic power surprises and detonates. What strength of character! Then the very sweet aspect surprises. For the rest, we find indeed the juicy and a little green in the promised flavor of melon galia.

The liquid is good. Very robust, it has a surprising amplitude in the mouth and the realism of the taste is interesting. We feel that we are moving away from the common melon with this slightly herbal note which makes all the difference.

In addition, the length in the mouth is almost paradoxical. Indeed, the taste and the sugar of the liquid are preserved several minutes after having vaporized it. This is surprising and, as a rule, more typical of menthol or aniseed juices. Here, it would almost be a Malaysian liquid in its unusual strength and the breadth of its aromas.

However, it is almost too much and two criticisms can be made to the Melon Galia to achieve a perfection that it is however not far from bordering. First, the blood sugar level seems a little too high to me and causes a greedy sensation which can be disgusting in the long run. And secondly, a touch of freshness could have liberated the realism of the fruit by making it a little more summery and less heady.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 15 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Thick
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Medium
  • Atomizer used for the review: Narda, Taifun GT3, Nautilus X
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.7
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Stainless steel, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

In view of the aromatic power and its viscosity, we might as well tell you that all atomizers are possible. Tight, airy, proprietary or rebuildable resistance, hyper open dripper…. You choose. I even advise you to opt for a very large draw in order to properly ventilate the dose of aroma of the liquid and give a little breathing in this concentration.

The coldest possible temperature should be favored to serve the fruit in the best conditions. Tested on a Nautilus X with a low power of 12 / 14W, we come closer to the ideal of the fruit than with a dripper in 0.30Ω and 50W.

My mood ticket on this juice

Melon Galia is a good juice that will please all fruit lovers in general and melons in particular by its very pronounced taste and incredible aromatic power.

We can all the same regret the absence of a little freshness or acidity to release the natural expression of the melon as well as a slightly (too) sweet result which parasitizes the general realism a little.

Nevertheless, this liquid remains surprising in the good sense of the word and manages to clash in a price category where, usually, the aromatic power is weaker or sometimes absent. It is worth the test, believe me and I don't think it will fail. Liquid cleaving in essence, it will seduce or repel but it will mark you.
