When tightening the screws that will make contact with the negative pads of the batteries, no need to exert a strong pressure, a light contact prevents the batteries from moving and the current flows terribly well ;-).
The switch stroke is short and super flexible. Barely a little pressure and it goes away. The only downside is that the switch is not locked. For transport, simply unscrew the contact pads of the batteries so that the current cannot flow.
For cleaning the contactors, a “jex green” type scratching sponge will do the job very well, and thus the conductivity will become top again.
