The venerable Corrézienne brand is known to all. Each vapoteur has, at one time or another of his initiation, tested one of his many juices. In any case, it was my case and I was very happy to find a Corsican or a Gaillard to fill my Vivi Nova. Of course, new vapers cannot know what I'm talking about, it was almost five years ago, in other words the Big Bang of vaping in France ...
In any case, I have never hesitated to recommend this brand to beginners because, beyond the measured prices and the brand's predisposition to remain in the mono-aroma, there was a way of doing things and a meaning of the salubrity, which made it quite suitable for making its first clouds.
Today, with the Rêver range, D'lice has taken a big step forward by first offering an increase in the proportion of Vegetable Glycerin in its bases since we go to 60/40 but also real recipes, including the simple reading makes your mouth water. Strangely, it seems that the brand has not decided to propel itself into the Premium segment and target a clientele of vapers who have long been used to tasting liquids for a long time but rather to develop a range oriented towards beginners to confirmed vapers with complex recipes but a VG rate that can still be used in most clearomizers. A kind of transitional range between the first months when we lose hope before understanding that a tobacco flavor does not have the same taste as smoked tobacco and the moment when we throw ourselves headlong into the juice recipes with a line and that beginners flee like the plague ...
Seeing the positioning of the brand on the market, we fully understand this approach. In short, it is not a question of seducing geeks but of addressing beginners and bringing them to other taste horizons. laudable intention if there is one, served by a simple but complete conditioning, which lacks only the proportion PG / VG to be perfect.
The question is: is such a juice confined to seducing beginners or can it also tempt the fanatics of the mod?

The brand shows here all its know-how in terms of legal compliance and transparency. Nothing to say on this specific point, everything is there, as well as the reassuring presence of a DLUO which allows me to tell you, in passing, that a DLUO is present for informational purposes and that this date in no way means the expiration of the e-liquid. It simply wants to indicate the period of time during which the liquid will not be subjected to the ravages of time. Then the aromas lose their strength, the nicotine oxidizes and the juice will simply be worse.
The conservation of the e-liquid itself is a much more important parameter, those who have already left a bottle of juice in their car in direct sunlight will know what I'm talking about ... 🙁

Comments on the packaging
The packaging is simple. A PET vial, hard enough not to deteriorate in a pocket, with an extremely thin tip that can cope with the filling of any device.
The label carries the concept of the “Rêver” range high by displaying a beautiful capital and stylized R, in a beautiful red color and beautifully highlighted, all on a classy black background. The designer has worked well and there is nothing negative to oppose this aesthetic choice.
My only complaint would concern the fact that the packaging is not very different from the normal range and that it still lacks a bit of ambition if we compare it to other French brands that choose a glass, colored or no, for their higher ranges. We can oppose this assertion that the plastic is less fragile and that in 10ml, it seems more suitable and it will not be wrong. But, since the price increases and reaches a very well attended mid-range, a little more daring would have been in order.
A possibility of packaging in 30ml would also have been welcome because, my faith, the juice is largely interesting enough that we want to have it in larger quantities ...

Comments on the taste of the juice
On inspiration, we feel that Velvet has really inspired, it is the case to say it, its creators. Indeed, we have a complex blend between a sweet and sweet raspberry and an almond that reminds me more of barley than the dry fruit itself. I like this blend which works very well on the palate, in a velvety sweetness which it seems initiated the name of the product.It is really good and pleasant, like a chocolate candy and it melts in the mouth in a vapor sweet but light.
When exhaling, especially through the nostrils, we find tonka bean, very present, which develops a completely different taste score by pleasantly spicing the recipe with vanilla and musky nuances. A slight background of bitterness makes me think that there is also a base of blond tobacco in the background, which the manufacturer's website corroborates, but far enough away so as not to cannibalize the sweetness of the recipe.
In terms of the rare negative points, I would probably have preferred a 50/50 proportion to have a little more vapor in the mouth but let's not sulk our pleasure, this liquid really holds the road and all its promises.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
The low viscosity of the liquid makes it perfectly compatible with all devices on the market. Thus, the Velvet will go as well on a dripper as on an entry-level clearomizer.With my own set-up, I found it at its best between 15 and 18W. Higher up, it “compacts” and loses some of its nuances. I recommend a lukewarm temperature to make the most of the different aromas.

My mood ticket on this juice
My first foray into D'lice's Rêver range, which we have the chance to sift through this summer, leaves me with a good impression and we have to admit that this is the essential. Soft, pleasant on the palate, well put in the recipe, the Velvet will appeal to lovers of gourmet fruity flavors as well as lovers of culpable delicacies.
Light and not disgusting, Velvet is an excellent moment of vape and even if its composition, its conditioning and its distribution circuit rather reserve it for an audience in access to the vape or in development taste, it will also charm the old barbarians by the seduction of its sweet and surprising flavors.
A well-made e-liquid that only lacks a bit of cosmetic daring to be perfect and perhaps the brand's first step towards vaping regulars. I salute him as he should!
