Reviewer comments on business characteristics

If Vaporesso won stripes during the first years of its existence by offering adapted products, box and atos, to the needs of vapers, it is mainly the popularization of ceramic resistances, his workhorse.

All those who have tested the various attempts in this area are unanimous. Ceramic is an interesting material because it is the source of an optimized and realistic sharpness of flavors. Conversely, consumers remain cautious about the reliability of this technology. Resistors failing, unreliable over time… a few non-vaporous clouds have nevertheless come to obscure what initially seemed to be a lasting concept.

This does not prevent the brand from continuing to advance on its path and no one will be able to hold it against it because, after all, we are not immune from a total success in the matter which could validate the wanderings of its development.

This is how Vaporesso offers us today a new clearomizer called Veco Tank which is available in two versions, the first accommodating 2ml of liquid and the second, the XL, being able to receive 4ml of liquid. These two atomizers share the use of new resistors, the EUCs, available in several types of assembly including several around the use of ceramic.

Offered in two basic colors, black and steel, the Veco, the normal version of which we will analyze today, is available at less than € 20, which is first good news because this price places it in the entry-level segment of range. The price of resistors also remains rather measured in comparison with other brands that are more and more greedy on this item since they are found between 10 and 11 € for five, depending on the model chosen.

So we start right away with good news and, if the promises in terms of steam and flavors are kept, it could turn into stiff competition for the leaders in the sector.

The Veco presents itself as a clearomizer allowing direct and indirect inhalation, being able to provide a beautiful volume of vapor while keeping intact the integrity of the taste. A beautiful program, in short, the veracity of which we will discover below.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

Here is a clearomizer that looks like ... another clearomizer.

If the aesthetic is far from being unpleasant, there are however the distinctive signs linked to the very nature of the material. The size is measured but not negligible for an ato of 2ml. It gives a good 0.5cm to a Nautilus X which, it is true, is rather typical for beginners or amateurs of tight vape. However, it remains quite discreet and will naturally pair with a mini-type box, Pico style, for a set of contained size whose elegance will find its source in a good anonymity.

Built in steel and pyrex, with part of the top cap in PMMA, its finish calls for no reproach, especially at this price. The competition also does well for more ...

Under a plastic drip-tip is a PMMA airflow ring then a steel top-cap marked with a V, which means Veco! Below, we have the tank circled with an unprotected pyrex, a choice that seems to be unanimous among manufacturers at the moment and which no doubt allows savings on production costs but remains difficult to assume in the event of a fall. On the first floor, we find the base on which the resistance is positioned, also made of stainless steel and provided with appropriate Vs.

The perceived quality of the whole is rather flattering for an atomizer of this price even if I remain cautious about the use of the large black gaskets to ensure the tightness of the tank. If their function is perfectly fulfilled due to their width, the fact that they often remain stuck to the pyrex is annoying, even if in the case of Veco, unlike for example the Unimax from Joyetech, we will not have to take off with each change in resistance.

All in all, a good balance sheet, in any case far above what one would have expected at this level of the range.

Reviewer's comments on functional features

There are two basic things to remember about the Veco. For the filling, we open the top and, for the change of resistance, it is from the bottom that it happens. In short, nothing very complicated.

The airflow is taken from the top of the atomizer and is adjusted by the ring that we mentioned above. We therefore have here the now widely used system of an air flow which depends on your suction and which circulates through a double wall of the chimney to below the resistance then rises, loaded with the vapor produced, the along the main duct to the mouth. The goal, and achieved, is not to generate any leakage by a possible airflow located on the bottom of the ato. It's functional and, on a personal level, I quite like the rendering of this type of technical choice, which generally benefits the general balance quite well without hindering the air supply by replacing a more “natural” positioning. by a turbo effect induced by the suction.

On the bottom cap, you will not find an adjustable connection pin, almost normal on a clearo. On the other hand, you can unscrew the base in order to position the resistance easily, by just inserting it into the chimney flue, the system taking care of any screwing on its own.

The evaporation chamber, delimited by the small size of the EUC resistors, is very small and therefore supposed to concentrate the flavors. In this regard, I notice on the two resistors supplied liquid sockets of good size, four in number, which suggests the possible use of all the viscosities of liquid available.

The two stainless steel rings are notched by four V supposed to allow a good grip. In fact, it is less obvious and I can only advise you to avoid tightening like a nag in order to keep some leeway for dismantling.

Back on the airflow to clarify that the two large slots are easy to adjust and therefore offer great versatility in the choice of your personal vape, ranging from tight to air.

The filling is very easy because it has direct access to the tank, without filter. So, pipette or thick tip will be welcome.

Drip-Tip Features

  • Drip tip type: 510 Only
  • Presence of a Drip-Tip? Yes, the vaper can immediately use the product
  • Length and type of drip-tip present: Medium
  • Quality of the drip-tip present: Very good

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

A fairly standard 510 drip-tip is offered as standard with the Veco. You can therefore, if necessary, replace it with the one of your choice.

However, the one supplied does its job well, it is ideally sized so as not to interfere with the air flow thanks to a large internal diameter of around 12mm. Of course, this is relative since one must also take into account the internal shrinkage due to connection 510.

Pleasant in the mouth and not heating to the powers recommended by the manufacturer, the tip is quite in the move of a clearo capable in theory of swallowing 50W and giving a nice volume of vapor.

  • Would you say that the packaging is up to the price of the product? Yes
  • Presence of a user manual? Yes
  • Is the manual understandable for a non-English speaker? Yes

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

The variegated cardboard that accompanies your ato is thin and the transparent plastic “window” which overhangs it does not augur an optimal transport capacity in total safety conditions.

Inside, no pre-formed foam to accommodate the clearo. Just some plastic that will support the object and a spare pyrex. We have known much better but it is necessary to take into account, once again, the light price of the whole. We will therefore say that the packaging is not shameful.

In addition to the emergency pyrex, we therefore have two resistors, one in kanthal and 0.40Ω cotton accepting to operate between 30 and 50W and the other in 0.46Ω ceramic and stainless steel, accepting powers from 20 to 40W.

There is also a bag of spare gaskets and a multilingual manual, including French, translated by Google, remains understandable if you make an effort ... 😉

Vapelier's note on ease of use: 5 / 5 5 5 out of stars

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

First test with resistance in kanthal. The rendering is very correct, rather round and flattering. At the maximum recommended power, the volume of steam is substantial and the flavors are present. We are not either on a Conqueror or other creature in the matter but, for a clearo, the Veco does better than hold its place. Voluptuous, full vape, it is easy to find the right airflow / power ratio by playing on the ring and the [+] and [-] buttons of the mod.

Second test with ceramic resistance. The rendering of flavors makes a big leap forward and we find this sensation of saturation of the aromas typical of the capillary. At 40W, the volume of vapor is substantial and above all, there is this vape full of taste which pays tribute to the liquid that you will put inside. Also tested in temperature control (SS316L), the coil behaves very well and generates an astonishing vapor / flavor compromise.

In both cases, the temperature delivered is rather lukewarm / hot, which predestines the Veco more on the use of gourmet liquids or tobacco than on fruity or fresh. But this is not disqualifying and the restitution of tastes is precise enough to satisfy everyone.

No leaks to deplore, the promise is therefore kept. Used for 72 hours, 48 of which with the ceramic resistance, I did not notice any failure of it. To be checked over a longer period of time but the prognosis seems good to me.

Consumption remains quite important and 2ml leave quickly. So remember to bring your vial if you want to hold a whole day.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

Offered, I remind you, at 19.90 €, the Veco is an excellent entry-level clearomizer whose taste qualities can easily be compared with much more expensive equipment.

In a field of versatile yet reasonable vape, from tight to air, delivering great flavors especially with ceramic resistance, it seems hard to beat the price. We therefore have a tough competitor on the market and Vaporesso has provided a good R&D effort to offer us an inexpensive atomizer, having a very good flavor / vapor ratio and whose, icing on the clearo, the coils will not ruin you.

It remains to be seen if they last over a longer period of use but nothing allows me, neither to doubt, nor to be sure. Do not hesitate to comment to give your feedback on the matter.

A top ato comes to salute the prowess of the taste and the modesty of the tariff.
