As in any passionate activity, there are sometimes encounters in the vape. With people of course but also, as far as we are concerned, with liquids or even equipment. This is how the Vaporflask Stout landed on my desk in a test vape mail. I gently stripped her of her cardboard garment and she appeared to me, naked, in the light of day. I fell head over heels right away!
Vape Forward is an American moderator, whose Vaporflask, available in several copies including a very interesting version equipped with Yihi's SX350J chipset, had ensured notoriety, if only for its specific flask-shaped aesthetic. An aesthetic cloned many times and having inspired various comments, from the most mocking to the most admiring. At a price, say, appreciably prohibitive….
For a few weeks now, Vape Forward has gone all out by releasing a new range of three boxes: the Classic, greatly inspired by the original Vaporflask and happily sending 150W on two 18650s, the Light, wiser version with a single 18650 battery for a power of 75W and the Stout which we are going to talk about today.
The three models are the result of an intensive collaboration between Vape Forward and Wismec (which can be found on all fronts at the moment to the delight of vapers). Vape Forward taking care of the design of the box and its ergonomics and Wismec providing the chipset and industrial production.
As a result, the vapoteur wins. Aesthetics very neat and original without being tortured and above all, a sale price finally accessible.
The Stout is, in my opinion, the most “daring” version. Because the box is powered by a 26650 battery, guaranteeing maximum autonomy and a significant possible CDM. But it can also, thanks to a part supplied, be powered by an 18650. And all this for a very contained size, even reminiscent of traditional 18650 boxes. A nice bet that we will detail here, especially since 'it comes with a more than interesting price.

It is very beautiful. The purity of the magnificent lines are combined with an exceptional finish for a result that is both practical and sexy. The size is the most shocking element in the Stout because you would expect from a box running a 26650 a big fat stick, ugly but not at all. Vape Forward made its team of designers phosphorus to concoct us a little magic box which has a fabulous handling.
The secret is simple. Seen from an airplane (well, from above, don't take the next flight for I don't know where!), The Stout has the shape of a drop of water. This means that one side is wide enough to accommodate a 26650 battery and the other is much thinner and will be perfect for an atomizer of 22 or even 23mm in diameter. The thick side fits beautifully in the palm of the hand while the rest of the box quite naturally follows the inclination of the fingers to bring the index to the switch. Imperial !!!!
The construction and finish are a credit to the brand as well as to Wismec. Forged in a beautifully crafted and thick aluminum and covered with a very pretty matte black paint (in my case, because it also exists in white and brushed aluminum), it shows an incredible perceived quality, worthy of the best productions of top of the line.
The switch and the [+] and [-] buttons have also been particularly neat. In stainless steel, they do not move one iota from their position, it does not rattle and their action is precise and pleasant, accompanied by a slight click to emphasize your movement.
The access cover to the battery is also of high quality and above all, obeys an innovative kinematics and easy to handle.
Beauty and apparent solidity. It only lacks a little intelligence and it will be the foot!

The box is delivered with a 26650/18650 adapter which will allow you to choose your battery size. It's simple, we insert the 18650 in a black plastic cradle, which takes the place of the 26650 originally planned. In my opinion, it's good for the choice but, in all honesty, I advise you to use it directly with a 26650 for greater autonomy, and, depending on your choice of brand, a good CDM. In addition, use with an 18650 will necessarily limit the usable power. We do not perform miracles in electricity, we follow the rules ...
The feature that brings a breath of fresh air to the Stout is, without question, the presence of a pivoting cover which allows, with a simple gesture of the thumb, to unlock access to the battery. It is therefore a treat to change it, especially as the hood and the pivot system seem formidably solid. It doesn't move, it doesn't rattle. It holds and it works! Even simpler than a magnetic cover! Of course, we have already seen this type of hood elsewhere but it is still very rare and reliability did not seem so obvious.
The 510 connector is in stainless steel, perfectly integrated into the aesthetics of the box and has a simple air inlet but seems effective for atos taking their airflow from the bottom. The positive pin is made of brass and its positioning on a spring will ensure aesthetic continuity with the atomizer of your choice.
In terms of electronics, we are therefore on a Wismec chipset whose finesse and capacities we had appreciated on the Presa 75W TC, here in 100W version. Nothing to say about it, the electronics do their job without ever taking a break. The output power is very correct, the smoothing of the signal has no roughness. No boost or diesel effect when fired. We are on premium material, no offense to the purists, which combines American intelligence and Chinese industrial power for a high level result.
The functionalities do not require any particular development. The temperature control accepts NI200, titanium and stainless steel 316 without problem and the TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) function included will allow you to precisely define your setting of the chosen resistive wire. I add that the rendering in temperature control and SS316 works wonderfully, which suits me well, being a resistive stainless steel addict.
All the necessary protections are there, we do not go back on it and the box offers a superb multilingual manual that will release me from having to inflict on you the long litany of button combinations to access a particular parameter. Because I presume that since you are going through these lines you can read as well as I do. Just know that if you know how to use a box equipped with TC, you will also know how to use it. And if you don't know, it will only take 10 minutes of reading and testing to master it from start to finish. The Stout elegantly combines beauty and ease. The dream, right? 😉

Well, we're not hiding anything, are we? I cracked and bought this box.
Since then, I continue to vape, of course but in addition, my wife is back, my dog is resuscitated, my banker wants to marry me and I won the lottery.
I do not know what voodoo object we have concocted Vape Forward and Wismec but it works! And even if it does not work as well with you, you will have in your hands the most beautiful box, which works impeccably and that vape wonderfully.
