Among the big names in vaping, Joyetech has often held the leading roles. This innovative leader launched in 2012, the eVic, which in its time, offered a form of temperature control and advanced parameterization of the power delivered over ten seconds of pulse, thanks to software interacting with the mod. For atomizers, its rivalry with another giant: Kangertech, has allowed this very recent phenomenon (vaping) to progress, for ever greater safety, quality and functional improvements.
Today, who does not vape in sub-ohm? While barely three years ago, it was a passionate geek activity, in 2016 it became a standard, even with clearomizers. Listening to the community of aficionados around the world, these brands create an original novelty every quarter. Today we are going to talk about the Tron-S, a sub-ohm clearomizer which is the result of an evolution of the eGo One of which it has retained the proprietary coils.

Made of stainless steel, the Tron measures 52mm (excluding 510 connector). Only the drip tip is plastic, which prevents it from driving the heat that could emerge from the atomizer and preserve your teeth during unfortunate movements.
The Pyrex tank contains 4 ml of juice, it is protected by the body of the ato which still lets see the remaining liquid level, through a trapezoidal window reminiscent of a mirror graphic at the bottom of the movie poster. 'Heritage. The T version of the Tron does not have this side light.
The airflow control is adjusted with the lower ring by rotation, it allows the air to pass through the gap space of the tank base, the entire circumference serves as air inlet.
The filling is common to many clearos, it can be binding at the time of top drilling (reloading juice from above) but contributes to the sobriety of the design of the object and is not in my opinion, not really outdated or difficult.
I did not manage to dissociate the top cap of the body and did not try to know if it is possible or not to change the tank (the atomizer is lent to me and I prefer not to spoil it). The modest price of ato me however think that this operation is not planned by the manufacturer.
The object is simply beautiful, an elastic ring comes to your liking "to personalize" the top of the atomizer at the level of the top cap / tank connection. It is said that these amenities are fluorescent but I did not notice it, it is also a subject that I care about as of my first hit.
The Tron pleases me as it is, this hollow joint, thinner than the bottom, is just as acceptable without anything around.

We talked about the juice and air supply of the Tron-S, let's talk now about the resistances that are for many in the quality of vape of this clearomiser, competitor of a certain Subtank which he will also share the reconstructible character. A first Joyetech that will interest more than one, including your humble chronicler.
Included in the number of three in the kit, you will find one mounted and two others in the box. Here is their description:

It is an essential and inexpensive accessory (less than 3 €) which will allow us to mount coils at the value we choose, with the capillary of our choice. I allow myself to greet, in the name of all the people who tweak in the vape, this social advance which constitute these “custom CLR”.

Plastic was used for this removable part. Joyetech does not communicate on the quality of the material, I could not instruct you on this point. Without the 510 connection, this drip-tip measures 15mm long and offers a suction diameter of 5mm. two O-rings ensure a perfect fit in the top cap. The colors are very close to those of the ato, which makes it a homogeneous whole.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The white cardboard box contains a rigid foam which receives the ato and the two coils, a formula which effectively protects the material. Once removed this envelope covered with white felt, you will access the instructions (in English), a bag containing three elastic rings for facing the upper hollow seal of the ato (do not confuse with the air inlet!) and an authenticity card that allows you to verify on the site that you have an original Joyetech (the Chinese are right to be wary of counterfeits, I'm laughing ...).
Given the low price of Tron-S, this packaging seems to me quite satisfactory.

I must admit that this clearomizer is a great tool. Its design, its aesthetics and its simplicity of use, are downright at the top.
The proprietary OCC (organic cotton coil) resistors do a good job, only perhaps the highest in resistance value (the 1 ohm CL) is below, in quality of rendering and quantity of vapor. For the other two it's flawless. You have the choice of a vape ranging from cold to hot through the intermediaries.
The airflow, which is difficult to measure (since it is invisible at the level of the resistances), allows a wide range of prints, from the very tight vape to a moderate aerial vape, still allowing direct inhalation.
At 0,2 ohm the CL-NI consumes a lot of juice at the required power (75 / 80W) but provides a hot vape of good taste quality and a significant amount of steam. Do not worry about closing the airflow to these values and powers, the result is rather mediocre.
The Cl-TI 0,4 ohm is a good compromise for all kinds of juice, it allows a half-tight vape provided you moderate the power. Since the material (titanium) is not yet evaluated as healthy when heated, I urge you to adjust your temperature to 250 ° C maximum.
The 1 ohm Cl (kanthal) is the least efficient, it does not deserve the Tron-S because of its intolerance to high powers (25W and +), therefore low flexibility at VW settings and sluggish steam production at 15W.
As soon as your resistance is set up, think about soaking it with two or three drops of juice in order to start the capillarity, it is essential to avoid the dry hit and its premature death. With use over two days I did not notice any leaks.
The option CLR (rebuildable) is of course the one that will suit you best to get the fitting adapted to your vape.
The cleaning requires a water station and a kleenex (or other paper absorber) and a toothpick to access the bottom of the tank. So you can change the juice as long as you have dedicated resistors as often as you want, after consuming the current tank.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Joyetech has still done very strong, the Tron-S will certainly relegate a lot of clearomiseurs oubliettes or museum. With the rebuildable CLR resistance, even geeks will love it, especially geeks I should say, no more organized waste and long live the custom head. When you buy this little gem, order two CLR and you'll be ready for a good time.
So this is an ato that rivals good drippers and allows a reserve of 4ml for a price defying understanding. Enjoy it you will not regret it.
