Following the Big Bear, a reconstructible RDTA fromEhpro, the Chinese sign gratifies us this time with an 2 atomizer in a rather original since it allows to vape in RDTA and dripper, on the same assembly. The Thunder : thunder in the language of eng or crazy is according to (the english), should bring us otherwise a deafening stormy noise, at least the clouds that go with it.
I have not found, at the time of writing this review (26 / 02 / 2019), prices online, or even at Ehpro which, to believe its absence from the page devoted to RDTA and other reconstructibles, should not be aware that they have manufactured and put on sale, at least among wholesale importers.
However, a Malaysian shop offers it online to 85 RM (Malaysian Ringgit) which makes us a nice leg and about 17,85 €. You should buy this atomizer online, around 20 / 25 € taking into account the costs associated with various intermediaries (import, taxes, margins, etc ...). Let's go for a magazine in detail and in color (yes, I already made that one).

The atomizer consists of 8 main parts, not including the hoses (positive pin insulation and O-rings) and the resistive clamping screws.
The base presents 2 options as shown in the photo, closed (dripper), open RDTA.
Two configurations of drip-top are possible but it does not change its length (offline 510) of 36mm. The diameter with the translucent drip-top is 22mm, slightly more with the colored drip-top that completely covers the ato (23mm). The glass tank contains 2,5ml, the two lateral reserves (not communicating) of 6mm depth allow a good ml and a half.
It is built in stainless steel SS and its drip-tops are made of plastic polymer or polyetherimide (thermoplastic polyimide) PEI, they offer a useful opening of 8,5mm of diameter. The positive pine seems plated (gold?) And its building material is copper. Red O-rings are silicone. The two 5,25 x 1,75mm airholes are adjusted by simply turning the drip-top, they are located laterally and benefit the resistance from below. The large colored drip-top has a remaining juice control window.
It weighs 28g or 25g according to the drip-top with its coil and without the juice.
An object well studied, well made, mono coil whose clamping notches allow to insert multi-strands up to 20 / 10e Thickness (2mm), the screw without clamping head of the coil are flat to avoid cutting the wire.
We have room to work but we will come back. The Thunder fits all "old" boxes and mods in 22mm top-cap, for a small footprint. The reserve of juice is under the deck so under the resistance, it reminds a little genesis of the beginning of the century.

A capacity of 2,5ml or a dripper with a good reserve of juice, in a single configuration, here is the originality of this ato.
The base contains two cells which allow the cotton to pass through the reservoir. You open or close it using a fine cylindrical “handle” that you operate for this purpose. Once closed, in dripper configuration, no leaks in the tank.
The deck has open coil lug housings, for quick insertion, without risk of fraying the ends (for braided coils). The joints ensure a good maintenance of the drip-tops, as well as the tightness. The positive pin is used to fix the + pylon on its insulation, it is not adjustable. That's about all there is of note to be clarified.

A "classic" box from Ehpro, in rigid cardboard, with a cover provided with a transparent plasticized window ... You can check the authenticity of your acquisition online (with the QR code) by typing on the site the indicated code. The ato and its second drip-top are perfectly protected in a molded semi-rigid foam compartment.

We regret the lack of a spare tank because whatever vape option chosen, the latter is present for the assembly of parts of the ato.
*Ehpro has accustomed us to integrate in its equipment a manual translated into French, (it is also mandatory for export to Europe for devices in contact with an electrical source).
This copy of material (sample), probably received in preview, does not contain a manual but I do not doubt that it will be there for its sale in France. So I took the liberty to note it present and in French on the protocol of this review.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The assembly presented here is prepared with one of the 2 coils supplied, it is a multi-strand winding called Clapton coil, if you follow the various sections and reviews of the Vapelier, you are in familiar territory, otherwise the "search" function of the site should help you see more clearly. They are 5mm outside diameter for 3mm inside, perfect for the volume between the pylons.
The lower part of the coil is at 2mm from the opening of the inner airflow, keep this distance, this position leaves a clear volume sufficient to allow the expansion of the vapor around the resistance, as well as an arrival of air more aerial, in the sense of less compressed, below.
Center your coil using a guide (a tip of 3mm diameter will do) and hold the position for a while. Cut the parts of the coil that protrude, (with an old nail clipper if you do not want to damage your scissors). You can now measure the value of the resistance (and everyone knows that the resistance is good, ok I stop).
In the illustration below, the cotton installed will be used for dripping without the use of the tank, the “mustaches” will therefore be shorter than for the other option.
To use the tank, all you need to do is lengthen the "whiskers" by 5mm and plunge them through the freed holes, no need to dive to the bottom but make sure that a good dose of cotton takes up the space. lights, it will prevent leaks. Tilt your ato every now and then to allow for a good supply of juice. I first filled the tank before placing the cotton, my dropper is quite big, it's more practical than after (but that can only be done once, we agree).
It's ready, at the table!
0,35Ω, 3,64V for 40W and a preheat of 1/2 second at 55W to compensate for the lag due to the Clapton which, like most multistrands, is a bit sluggish on ignition. The airflow fully open and ride youth!
It's good, a little noisy but well, this Thunder deserves his name. Nor is it the sound of a Harley engine, rather a hissing wind in the guys if you know what I mean. The sound apart, this little ato is very nice, a good return of flavors and a very correct steam production. The consumption of juice at these values is acceptable, the 2,5ml left 2 hours without chain vaper but without truce either (evaluation requires). However, be careful with very low mountings and high power, the mouthpiece is not equipped with a pierced surface to protect any projections of hot juice, it is just above the resistance to 10mm barely.
With a mecha, it's just as good but you have to get used to lag that is not very long or very annoying.
Another character trait of this RDTA, its airflows are sufficient for a direct inhalation but, if the ato does not heat, the juice is lukewarm or hot if you suck gently. Less air means more present in flavor, they are well concentrated, like what we can expect with a dripper.
For cleaning, everything is disassembled, the hoses and the rigid insulation of the pylon + must however be cold rinsed. Otherwise, a 40 ° C bath with sodium bicarbonate overnight will work fine.
A final point about the long drip-top, it has the advantage of protecting the tank from direct shocks and offers for some, a real more aesthetic, it takes good eyes or adequate lighting to monitor the remaining juice level by the lightning-shaped light provided for this purpose.

In conclusion, if the price of this ato does not exceed 30 €, you can go for it. Whether to add it to your collection or to fully enjoy it, it is worth the price. With a taste quality worthy of drippers, it turns into RDTA with the same qualitative characteristics and you will not have to reload with juice every 10 puffs. As a cloud factory, it is not a beast of competition but with a good full VG, the production is honorable. For first-time vapers who want to try their hand at reconstructable, it is a simple ato to assemble, discreet in size for these ladies and if the overall decoration pleases you, do not hesitate any longer.
I do not take any risk by assuring you that as soon as it is made available in France (with a notice in French), Ehpro will also offer a spare tank, as they already do for pre-wound resistors.
