Smok recently launched into the hybrid sub-ohm clearomizer with the TFV 4. The TFV 4 quickly established itself as one of the references in this sector, especially among lovers of large hot vape, thanks to an impressive collection. of proprietary resistances and no less than 3 different rba plates. Today, Smok delivers us a more compact mini version, which accepts the same types of consumables. The question is therefore: does this mini version keep all the qualities of the maxi version?

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The TFV4 mini is not an aesthetic model. It is not ugly but still a bit rude. All in steel and pyrex, the quality of the materials is quite respectable. The machining is not left out and the threads are generally correct.
The structure of the atomizer makes everything hold together through the large chimney. There is therefore a significant tension on the pyrex which is also very exposed to shocks. Smok therefore offers you two silicone rings to protect the tank.
The resistances provided are impressive. Bigger, I don't know and the special RBA Clapton Coil base is pretty cool.
This hybrid clearomizer presents well, it is not a model of elegance but, you will understand, we do not choose this monster for its look, we choose this TFV 4 to explore all kinds of power-vaping in all simplicity.

This TFV 4 therefore offers you a trip to the countries of the big cloud. Its ultra generous airflow, its large chimney coupled with crazy resistors (no less than ten different models) or one of the RBA trays (single coil, double coil or special Clapton) takes you to the wonderful land of the cloud -chasing.
The RBA trays are simple to implement. No difficulty in mounting, only the dosage of cotton is a little random at first because the channels that feed the coil are generous and therefore there is a tendency to under-dose fiber or cotton.
The flavors are still there, I even find that it is one of the best in this area in its category.
The filling is simply super simple, the top cap rotates on an axis and reveals a large orifice that will be used with most of your pipettes and bottles. On the other hand, if a problem with resistance occurs you will be hard to intervene without first emptying the tank.
This TFV 4 mini is easy to live with despite the expert vape it offers.

The drip-tip was also designed for power vaping. With an imposing diameter, it will not please everyone. This tip consists of a central pyrex tube, a second metal envelope surrounds this tube. The outer metal tube is equipped with an adjustable air inlet, allowing the pyrex tube to be cooled. The air does not mix directly with the steam, the mixture is done at the level of the mouth. This drip-tip is massive but very well suited to the vape provided by the atomizer.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
This is the traditional packaging that has been accompanying Smok products for some time. A cardboard sleeve with the product photo on one side, and the kit content on the other. This scabbard surrounds a very resistant rigid black box. The kit itself is rich: we find in the box the TFV4 equipped with the special RBA Clapton coil base, well wedged in its compact foam. Above, two different coils, a 6 coils and a double Clapton coil. There is also a spare pyrex (so much the better because the pyrex tube is a bit fragile), spare gaskets and resistive Clapton wire, and finally Japanese type cotton.You will also have in this pack two silicone rings to protect the pyrex from the tank. A manual and a leaflet describing all the compatible rba coils and plates. It's perfect, nothing to complain about, apart from the fact that the various documents are only available in English.
Appreciations in use

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Already a fan of TFV 4, the mini for me has the same advantages and same defects as the maxi version.
This hybrid clearomiser is one of the kings of the category. With the multitude of configurations in terms of coils, its efficient airflow, a very correct restitution of flavors and an original drip tip, I do not see what more can be asked for.
Easy going, well designed, it can cash impressive power values.
Very large consumers, this atomizer is really aimed at lovers of beautiful clouds and overpowered boxes.
So, some do not necessarily see this type of product favorably. Me, personally, I find this atomizer to be a must have for those who like the ultra airy medium and high power vape. It may be “a fad” but as yours truly appreciates this vape and this TFV 4 really appears to be an almost perfect product, I would say that everyone has the right to choose their way of vape.
You will understand, I am a regular user and convinced of TFV 4 which has supplanted my Subtank.
