Absolute fan and daily user of the first Taifun of the name, hard to hide my joy when I received the Holy Grail loaned by our sponsor !!!! The Taïfun GT is a bit like the atomizer for gourmets which makes polished clouds but which never forgets to transcribe the most complex flavors with great finesse. Always well placed on the podium of atomaniacs, this second version comes to us with a good set of improvements. Not a revolution but rather an evolution which shows that the manufacturer has been able to listen to consumer feedback and seems to have retained everything to make a V2 that promises to be exciting to dissect.
On the menu of the festivities:
- An adjustable airflow.
- A juice arrival adjustment.
- A pyrex tank protected by steel armor.
The tariff is changing too and takes 10 € in passing. Although this difference seems justified by the constraining improvements to be made, the price remains high and does not unfortunately make it available to all stock exchanges.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The assemblies are always perfectly made and the polished finish of the parts is shiny and flattering to the eye. Pyrex is so light that it looks like PMMA but it is nevertheless pyrex, apparently sandblasted, which gives a nice impression of transparency when filled. The quality of the threads is indisputable, even if we notice the eternal problem of Taifun all generations combined with the difficulty of finding the starting point for the thread when two parts are assembled. But once the right starting angle is found, the threads are perfectly functional and smooth in use.
I found the edge of the thread of the tank top / bottom assembly to be particularly sharp, almost sharp, compared to the first version of the top. A slight defect which, in use, does not cause any problem.

It is in this chapter that we carry out all the design work carried out by the manufacturer around this second version.
First of all, all the parts are backwards compatible with the GT in version 1. Which means that if you are only interested in the board and not the pyrex tank for example, you will be able to get it and easily fit on your original GT. A great possibility of upgrading without having to make a major purchase right away. Well thought!
Then, we notice the possibility of varying the airflow by means of a dedicated ring which hides according to your desire the ten holes present on the perimeter of the base. From 1 to 10 holes can be discovered so as to cover a wide range of prints, from tight to air. And if that is not enough, there is the possibility of installing in the vent located under the resistance an air flow reducer, which reduces it from 3mm to 2mm, to find a feeling of vape all the way. made identical to that of the first Taifun GT. Again, all possibilities seem to have been covered by the manufacturer.
The liquid inlet adjustment is very easy to operate. You just need to screw more or less the top of the evaporation chamber in order to adapt the liquid intake to your wishes but especially to the viscosity of this one. An e-liquid strongly proportioned in VG will flow more easily if the openings are larger for example.
Using pyrex is not a problem and we appreciate the steel armor that surrounds it to protect it in the event of a fall. On the other hand, it is necessary to pay attention to the positioning of the O-rings when you remove and reassemble the pyrex in its cage. You will find below an explicit photo, taken from the user manual which is very important to understand what is in my opinion the only possibility of being wrong in the assembly of the ato:

The drip tip is well in the spirit of the design of the atomizer and we will appreciate the double seals which ensure a perfect hold and tightness in operation. It is moreover pleasant in the mouth and its internal opening completely compatible with the new possibilities of pulling of the GT 2.

A beautiful metal box serves as a case for the atomizer. It firstly guarantees a nice “look” to the packaging but also a certain insurance in the transport of your object. The manufacturer also provides a set of spare O-rings, of all sizes to compensate for the most urgent changes as well as the famous airflow reducer. We also find a certificate of originality. No user manual and that's a shame because the new features also involve a greater margin of error in the various settings. New features on an atomizer often imply greater difficulties in mastering it. Thus, the manufacturer turns a page and finishes with the childish simplicity of the Taifun GT first of the name whose only difficulty was to put the adequate volume of hair fiber in the coil. You will have to learn to juggle the airflow adjustment and the juice arrival adjustment to find your sweet-vape, the one that will suit you best. I reassure you, it is not very complex and after two or three leaks or two or three dry-hits, we quickly arrive at a result that will suit the most manic of vapers.
The main difficulty consists in finding the right adjustment of the arrival of juice according to the viscosity of this one. Attention, it is not necessary to open to the maximum to pass an e-liquid in 100% VG, my pants paid for it ... The adjustment is very fine and a simple quarter turn less or more will be enough to adaptation.
The airflow adjustment is easy to understand, complex to remember and very simple when you have chosen it ... 😉 The ring rotates in both directions and it is the direction of rotation that will determine whether you are in an odd opening (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) or an even opening (2, 4, 6, 8 or 10) of the holes. Easy and very fine, this adjustment is the guarantee to find the airflow that suits you best.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The Taifun GT2 does not disappoint. Finishing quality, new interesting features and still fairly simple use despite that, it represents a significant evolution of its parent and will satisfy more vapers by the more versatile of its draw.
In terms of the restitution of flavors, which is above all what one expects from atomizers in general and from this one in particular, it is constant and very sharp and above all, it retains good precision of the aromas even by adjusting a very aerial print. Proof if it was still necessary that the tray and the evaporation chamber are optimal for this aspect.
On the other hand, the happy owners of the GT first version who are satisfied with the tight draw of their ato will not see much interest in reinvesting in a second version that they will have a little more difficulty in adjusting for an identical rendering. It is the counterpart of having bet on versatility. Because at the end of the day, the restitution of flavors is exactly the same. On the other hand, if they wish, they will be able to take advantage of the joys of a Pyrex tank to pass slightly “naughty” liquids in their favorite ato by purchasing the corresponding part. It is the enormous advantage and all the intelligence of the manufacturer to have made all the parts compatible.
This atomizer has been expected and desired by many vapers and will finally fulfill the wishes of those who like a more airy vape. In this sense, it is an absolute success. It will take a little more attention to master all the finer points of the settings but after learning, we will end up with an atomizer that largely deserves its place in the top 3, just like its ancestor before him.
