Comments on the packaging

Today, the storm is brewing as we tackle the Storm from Flavor Art. As the old saying goes: “Storm in November, Christmas in December!”, So you can cut your tree and prepare your garlands.

Concerned about the health of its customers, the Italian brand, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, delivers us an e-liquid without sugar, without protein, without GMO, without diacetyl, nor preservative, nor sweetener, nor coloring, nor gluten and no more alcohol. Everything revolves around a concentrate of aromas and the base. Thus, we are guaranteed to avoid most controversies or problems related to the presence of questionable molecules.

The Storm is part of the Classic range, a range dedicated to tobacco composed of a ratio of 50% PG, 40% VG, the rest being divided between aromas, distilled water and nicotine. This is offered to us in various rates: 0, 4.5, 9 and 18mg / ml.

The current packaging will soon change and become more “institutional”. However, as it is today, it looks quite practical. We have a PET bottle that is undoubtedly insufficiently flexible to be really comfortable in difficult filling and a rather original stopper / dropper assembly since the stopper does not separate from the bottle. The tip is quite thin even if the presence of the cap may interfere with feeding some atomizers.

With a price of 5.50 €, we are at the entry level. The price corresponds to the target of the manufacturer: the first-vapers and, by extension, intermediaries not wanting to change their habits of vape.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

No particular complaints about this chapter. We have the necessary warnings, the pictogram indicating danger, that for the visually impaired, the DLUO and a batch number. Of course, from May 2017, it will be necessary to go even further to comply with the TPD and introduce new pictograms as well as the famous mandatory notice but, in the current state of the legislation to date, we are not bad !

Child safety is different from that usually used (with locking of the disengageable thread by pressing). It consists of pressing on both sides of the cap to allow it to be unlocked. We could be cautious about the efficiency but it is clear that it works correctly, tested in situ with a child.

The name of the laboratory and a telephone number complete the range in order to ensure unblemished visibility and transparency. Some information is at the limit of visibility but this is the current fate of 10ml bottles overloaded with information.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: Yes

Comments on the packaging

The packaging is traditional. If we except the stopper / dropper unit, which will no doubt disappear in the next batches, nothing exceptional distinguishes this bottle from the entire production at this level of the range.

The manufacturer's logo covers the label, overlying an illustration relating to the product name, which name appears roughly within the image. Nothing very artistic here but just a simple bottle that is neither exceptional nor unworthy and announces the color of an entry-level liquid.

About color, that of the cap varies depending on the level of nicotine. Green for 0, light blue for 4.5, dark blue for 9, and red for 18.

Sensory appreciations

  • Definition of flavor: Spicy (oriental), Tobacco
  • The taste and the name of the product, do they agree ?: Yes
  • Did I like this juice ?: I won't splurge on it
  • This liquid reminds me: Nothing in particular.

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 4.38/5 4.4 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

It is not because an e-liquid is mainly aimed at beginners that it should be sloppy. Flavor Art applies this credo with elegance in this worked tobacco which has more than one string to its bow.

Here we have a dark, deep, brown tobacco which, as usual from the manufacturer, is devoid of aggression. Naturally sweet and very oily, it is somewhat reminiscent of a very ripe Virginia with its sweet and fruity flavor.

A bouquet of spices that are difficult to define brings a note of refinement to the whole but without counteracting the purpose of tobacco. The whole recipe is pleasant to vape and carries charming undertones that turn out to be different with each puff. Sometimes even a liquorice note comes to the party and disappears as quickly as it came.

A good e-liquid, cut for sophisticated brown lovers.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Storm isn't afraid of much. Very generous in vapor with regard to the level of vegetable glycerin, it affirms a deep hit, without exaggeration. You will be able to manhandle it without difficulty by taking it to quite substantial powers, it will not blame you and will behave in the same way. The ideal temperature is between warm and hot and the viscosity of the liquid will make it compatible with all your atomizers.

My mood ticket on this juice

A good surprise with the Storm that I did not know. Of course, it won't suit every palate, but dark tobacco aficionados will likely find it to their liking.

Although targeted for beginners, this juice may surprise more advanced vapers with its original taste, ultimately quite close to the plant and whose spicy aspect, although present, was thought to be diffuse so as not to hamper it. The result is more than convincing and the recipe deserves our attention to tame it.

A balanced juice that retains the “homemade” sweetness.
