Reviewer comments on business characteristics

As we know, Smok is on all fronts but one of its specialties is the large cloud-oriented clearomizer (TFV Series). The Spirals Tank is also a sub-ohm clearomizer but it is more sober and more flavor oriented than big vapor.

Diameter 22mm, a tank of 2ml, you will have the choice to make it work with proprietary resistors or a removable rebuildable base.

It is positioned at a rather low price since it can be found for less than 30 €.

So this is not a novelty, but this little kit could well interest fans of the brand who are looking for a vaporous clearomizer but more sober than a TFV.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

The Spirals Tank adopts a sober and refined style. Indeed, the drawing is rather simple, there is little frills, only his top-cap whose center rises to accommodate the drip-tip delrin gives it a slender side, while simplicity, which extends the line general and affirms the trait.

Composed of few parts, our clearomiser does not require a great expertise to mount or dismantle it.

There are four medium-sized holes arranged at the four cardinal points of the base, the opening of which can be modulated using the ring perfectly integrated into the guideline of the overall design.

The build quality is good as often in Smok. The parts are well machined and the aesthetic finish is fully in line with the pricing.

You will have the choice between several colors which will allow you to match it to many mods. A well-made product that will adapt to compact boxes thanks to its 22mm diameter.

  • Presence of air flow regulation? Yes, but fixed only

  • Minimum diameter in mm of the air regulation possible: 0.4
  • Positioning of the air regulation: Below and benefiting the resistances

  • Heat dissipation of the product: Normal

Reviewer's comments on functional features

The Spirals Tank is a hybrid clearomiser since you can use either specific Smok coils or the rebuildable mono-coil base. The resistances present in the pack make it possible to vary the sensations slightly but it is the reconstructable base which is the most versatile and efficient.

It is of course equipped with a system that allows it to be filled from the top quite easily, you just have to unscrew the center of the top-cap and you will have access to a fairly comfortable opening.
The 2ml tank is a bit tight but it is difficult to have the compactness and autonomy when talking about DL.

Finally, the airflow system and its four openings can be modulated using the traditional airflow ring, located at the base.

The pine is fixed as often with the clearomiseurs but, nowadays, it matters little because the vast majority of boxs is equipped with pins on spring.
A small clearomizer that seems to have what it takes even if it does not seem to add anything more to what already exists.

Drip-Tip Features

  • Drip tip type: 510 Only
  • Presence of a Drip-Tip? Yes, the vaper can immediately use the product
  • Length and type of the drip-tip present: Medium with heat evacuation function
  • Quality of the present drip-tip: Good

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

The Spirals Tank comes with a very basic delrin drip-tip. It is a straight 510 which is well hollowed out, which corresponds well to the type of vape that the atomizer delivers.
Nothing fundamentally exceptional but it is well integrated and well suited and anyway, if you don't like it, you can swap it out with any type 510 drip tip.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

A very “Smok” packaging. A black box marked with the name Smok which is covered by a sheath on which we discover our clearomizer in the photo with a sort of golden vortex in the background. On the back, we have the description of the pack and the mandatory normative logos.

Inside, we find our atomizer, two resistors (one of 0.3Ω and one of 0.6Ω), the rebuildable base, a spare tank, gaskets and a manual translated into French.

An attractive and complete pack as is always the case with the Smok brand, nothing to say, it's flawless.

Appreciations in use

  • Transport facilities with mod of test configuration: Ok for an inside jacket pocket (no deformations)
  • Disassembly and cleaning facilities: Easy, even standing in the street, with a simple tissue paper
  • Filling facilities: Easy, even standing in the street
  • Easy to change coils: Easy but requires emptying the atomizer
  • Is it possible to use this product throughout the day with several vials of EJuice? Yes perfectly
  • Was there leak after one day of use? No

Vapelier's note on ease of use: 4.6 / 5 4.6 5 out of stars

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

In terms of use, our Spirals Tank is practical and efficient.
Replacing the resistance is very easy, you just have to unscrew the base and then you in turn unscrew the resistance that is in place on it. The only thing to take into account is that you will have to wait until the atomizer is almost empty.

In the pack we will find a resistance of 0.3Ω and one of 0.6 Ω. The first is used on a range going from 20 to 45W with a best at 35W and the second, it will be used on a scale going from 18 to 35W with a top at 28W.

The reconstructible base provided does not pose any particular problem, despite a small size, its tray is easy to understand and implement. The coil like cotton easily find their place.

The filling is also done very simply, we remove the top of the top-cap by unscrewing it, then we pour our e-liquid into one of the two openings. The size of these is fully compatible with most bottle tips.

Regarding the airflow, the size of the holes does not allow a large amplitude, we will go from an aerial to semi-tight vape, always in DL. (Direct Vape)

In terms of restitution of flavors, this clearomizer defends itself well. With proprietary resistances, the definition of flavors is within a certain average. With the reconstructable base the result is better and we go a step above especially with a Clapton type wire.

The Spirals Tank is really very nice to use, it does not suffer from any major defect except perhaps the size of its tank because even if it is wiser in terms of power than a TFV , it still consumes quite a bit and it will have to be refilled several times during the day.

Recommendations for use

  • What type of mod is it recommended to use this product with? Electronic
  • With which mod model is it advisable to use this product? A single 18650 electronic mod that can deliver a maximum power of 60W or more
  • With which type of EJuice is it advisable to use this product? All liquids without problem
  • Description of the test configuration used: tested with the proprietary 0.3Ω, then with the RBA base at 0.6Ω
  • Description of the ideal configuration with this product: For me it will be with the RDA base equipped with a clapton coil whose values will be between 0.5 and 0.9Ω

was the product liked by the reviewer: Yes

Overall average of the Vapelier for this product: 4.5 / 5 4.5 5 out of stars

The mood ticket of the reviewer

This is a late test of a product released over a year ago but which seems to have passed through for the French market. Smok has established itself with the TFV series on the very cloudy DL vape niche. Many users are disillusioned with the astronomical consumption of these ultra-airy and vaporous atomizers.

So, to return to a wiser consumption while staying on an aerial vape, Smok offered us the Spirals Tank. The latter presented itself as a compact clearomiser (base RBA or proprio resistors) compact, sober style.

It is used over a power range that will go from 15 to 50W. It offers a more restrictive airy vape and a bit more flavorful than its TFV cousins, especially when using the RBA base.
I would therefore say that the bet has been successful while remaining on a DL vape but we can also say that it does not bring anything really new.

A product of very good quality, easy to use and efficient, currently available at a price of less than 30 €. Which makes it a good potential choice especially if you are using a compact xox of the Pico or AL85 style since it has a diameter of 22mm.

Good Vape,

Vince.
