Comments on the packaging

Holder of the last power of the Merovingians, Pepin III, said the Brief was king of the Franks from 751 to 768. He will be the first mayor of the palace to be proclaimed king, creating a new dynasty, the Carolingians. He is the son of Charles Martel and the father of Charlemagne.

814, inspired by a rich history of France, offers us its potions in a packaging that suits them particularly well compared to the tariff positioning: a glass vial.
It will cost on average 6,90 € for 10ml, price consistent with this market segment.

The Bordeaux brand develops its recipes on a basis of 40% vegetable glycerin and offers nicotine levels a little "staggered": 4, 8 and 14mg / ml without omitting that devoid of any addictive substance.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

Penalized by the presence of alcohol, the score is not perfect. However, since the confection is provided by the famous LFEL laboratory, there is no concern regarding this security, legal and sanitary chapter.
Alcohol ? At the same time the potion boasts a cognac aroma so I'm not really shocked. 😉

The labeling does not cut corners and fully complies with the legislation in force.

Comments on the packaging

If the famous white label is now well known, it shows that it can be simple and beautiful.
The whole is harmonious, the effigy adapted to the character lending his name to the recipe conferring a very particular identity.

Flaconning continues to trust the glass with a pipette of the same material.
History to find fault, we could perhaps blame the bottle for not being more opaque to protect the content of UV rays

Comments on the taste of the juice

Here we get to the heart of the matter. Describing this Pépin le Bref is no easy task.
The potion is complex at will and plunges us into vapors meanders.

The recipe is a meeting between fruits from the orchard, apple, pear and dried fruits, nuts and hazelnut. All accompanied by a note of Cognac. Just that.

On an olfactory plane the alcoholic part is an evidence, impression corroborated with the first puff.
Personally, I don't feel the orchard fruits described by flavorists, any more than cognac for that matter. My interpretation, which is very personal, directs me more towards Calvados, cider or pear brandy instead of wine.
On the dried fruit part, if the nut seems thin to me, the hazelnut is indisputable and provided with a nice dose of realism.

The whole is as usual perfectly done but the alchemy released is struggling to convince me. This potion leaves me with a mixed feeling and for once keeps me from making a decision. I can't categorize this juice into good, bad, or average.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Rda, Rta, Rba, the whole panoply of reconstructable atos is there. And I can't decide.
However, what I am sure is that, as usual, it will not require too massive an air inlet or too high temperatures.

My mood ticket on this juice

To the chagrin of our magazine planning service, I concede that it took a long time to deliver this Pépin le Bref made in 814.

The Bordelais destabilized me with this potion and for, maybe one of the first times, I am unable to decide.
The recipe is perfectly made and the level of confection does not suffer from any criticism. Only the alchemy obtained is such that I am not able to say if the taste result is good or not.

One certainty, Pépin le Bref is divisive. One day I like the realism of the nut, its taste devoid of too much sugar as often encountered. The next day this mixture seems too alcoholic - to the taste, of course - and unrealistic with the description given by the flavorists. Cognac is announced, personally I feel Calva ...

If my opinion does not have the value of universality, in any case you have understood one thing. The juice calls out and I appeal to as many people as possible to taste it and come and discuss it on our various platforms.

See you soon and go for new hazy adventures,

About the Author

Follower of the tobacco vape and rather "tight" I do not balk in front of good greedy clouders. I love flavor-oriented drippers but am very curious about the evolutions of our common passion for personal vaporizers. Good reasons to make my modest contribution here, no?
