It is once again on the west coast of the United States that our pursuit of the big clouds takes us.
Ampus is a young company from Los Angeles and Screwless is their first creation.
Here is a dripper for thick haze fans. Its main specificity is, as its name suggests, the absence of screws. So we will obviously have an alternative system to the good old screw to maintain our coils. I say "our" because you can install two good big coils on the board.
Designed in the States but manufactured in China, it is by doing so that we end up on a mid-range product by lowering production costs.
So let's see this first dripper made by Ampus.

To start, let's talk a little about his measurements. 25mm in diameter, 28mm high excluding drip-tip and 36mm with. A typical “firearm” profile. With its arched drip-tip, its inclined and grooved top-cap, there are many small aesthetic elements from this universe.
The barrel is pierced right through in its center by a lightning bolt. This coquetry is one of the components of the air supply to the coils. On the same line, we find an engraving of the logo and the name of the brand. At the base, below each flash, we find the second constituent element of the airflow system, a large skylight.
The general look is quite nice. Without going out of the ordinary, it remains quite becoming.
Stainless steel, delrin, gold-plated parts, the choice of materials and machining seem to be completely in line with the price positioning.
No screws of course, O-rings of good quality, everything is very satisfactory. The holding of the pieces between them is perfect. The maintenance is sufficient but also allows easy disassembly.
Finally, a quick note on the board which offers a lot of room for your most extravagant assemblies. The tank is about 4mm deep. So we don't have a huge reserve, but it's still okay.
A serious product that fits perfectly in its commercial category.

A large plateau on which we find two rather large poles gold plated.
The coils are held in place by spring clamps which are very easy to operate.
A plastic tool is also provided to allow you to operate both simultaneously. The posts can accommodate threads of fairly large diameters.
The airholes are very generous. The first system will feed the coils from below thanks to the two rectangular skylights. Then, the second sends air to the side of the coil thanks to the two lightning bolts. We can influence the air supply, but you will never be able to come out of the vape in direct inhalation.
The 510 pin is adjustable through a screw.
To put it simply, a double coil dripper equipped with a quick fixing system and endowed with the most generous airflow, in short a steam factory!

A rather nice drip-tip. I think it perfectly complements the look of our dripper.
As I said above, it is an interrupted warhead dressed in notches, a bit like the barrel of a revolver. Its diameter is rather substantial, 11mm, in fairly thick delrin, which protects our “delicate lips” from the heat given off by the coils.
Anyway, I like this drip-tip and goes perfectly with the Screwless.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
Our beautiful dripper arrives in a scholarship in suede species doubled satin way.
This conditioning is quite nice and flattering to the eye so we will rather focus on two or three small shortcomings.
First, no instructions, get by! Okay, this type of product is aimed at seasoned vapers but it should not be forgotten that a beginner can very well buy it too and that he will be quite helpless in the face of the deafening silence in terms of information.
Second, the spares bag contains only gaskets and the small plastic tool. No BF pin, no 510 drip-tip adapter, no other drip-tip, in short… the bare minimum. When we compare with Vandy Vape or Geekvape for example, Ampus seems to sink into avarice ...
It's a bit of a shame especially for a product that is placed at least 20 to 30 euros above 100% Chinese drippers.
Appreciations in use

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The spring clamp system (quick assembly) is practical and easy to use. You just have to make sure that the legs of your coils are straight in order to cross each other without worry and not create an “imbalance” at the level of the fixing hole.
As for the filling, it's a dripper ... so no particular problem ...
The lateral airflow adjustment is done very simply by turning what I will call top-cap. I specify that the low apertures, they cannot be adjusted.
The flavors are up and our dripper is placed without any harm at the same level as industry standards.
The tank is of a size that I will qualify as normal but the fillings will be numerous and repeated given the type of vape that is practiced with this kind of atomizer.
I have no information about a possible BF pin. At first glance, I think the option must be feasible, business to be continued.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
For a first, we can say that Ampus is doing very well.
An American-style dripper to make big clouds, let's say that our friends across the Atlantic know how to do it. It's a bit like a car, if it has to be big and make smoke and noise, don't worry, Uncle Sam is here.
The Screwless stands out a bit from the pack thanks to its quick and easy attachment system, without tools. A system that keeps all of its promises on condition of using coils with perfectly straight legs.
Add to that a look and a very good manufacturing quality given the tariff positioning and you have a very competitive dripper that manages without difficulty to climb to the level of the best.
If, finally, I tell you that indeed, it sends sacred clouds and that the flavors are there, then we have here an undeniable top ato.
The only downside: the incomplete packaging. So, Mr. Ampus, a little effort on this point and, for the rest, just keep it up.
