It is a moment in a state of grace that vaping geeks know all too well. It's the sacred moment of opening the mailbox when the kind postman left a “vap mail” there! And all the more so when we waited a long time… this one, we will have waited for several years !!!!
Indeed, if everyone now knows the world of PRO-MS, talented artisan moderator if there is one, brilliant creator and relentless worker to whom we owe mods of timeless and exceptional plastic beauty like the Scribe, Steampunk or other Opus, this same everyone was wondering when the brilliant Sébastien Lavergne would take the plunge and finally offer a home atomizer worthy of reigning on these jewels of battery-powered tubes!
And it stamped its feet, it complained, it extrapolated… But as the artist has a huge flaw, he only has two hands (he could make an effort!), It was difficult for him to settle down and design the atomizer so hoped at the same time that he faced the thousands of orders from his fans around the world (you are not reasonable either!).
Well, he finally arrived!
The offspring is called SΩTURN and it is a magnificent 24mm dripper for 56gr! The dad is happy but the vapers even more! It is a mono or double coil dripper, offered at a surprisingly low price of € 48.50 for the non-engraved version and € 58.50 for the engraved version. Here, I chose a so-called “Floral” engraving but there are many proposals: Elvish, Damascus, Steampunk or Celtic and, no doubt later, possibilities of personalization as only the master moderator knows how to do.
It is therefore with unfeigned eagerness that I throw myself into the close examination of this new jewel.

To face a huge demand and continue to produce despite everything the mods that geeks are snapping up, the craftsman found himself faced with a difficult choice: to have additional arms grafted or to call on an external subcontractor. . He therefore opted more wisely for the industrialization of his manufacturing process on this dripper. But not at any cost!
Indeed, after a design entirely thought out and tested by the moderator, it is in the highest quality monitored like milk on the fire that Pro-Ms has chosen to work. For this, a service provider was chosen, tested, re-tested, briefed and tested so that he understands the world of the craftsman and engages in a production process in accordance with the specifications imposed by him. .
The result is brilliant and the quality of the object is exceptional. Made entirely of brass, as is the house tradition, the SΩTURN however escapes any suspicion concerning the health aspect of this metal because, after a double examination in the laboratory, this brass appears to be completely lead-free and is therefore quite clean. to the use that we will make of it. It is therefore not with the SΩTURN that you risk lead poisoning.
However, the moderator went even further by covering all the contact parts with a gold plating, conducive to preventing any corrosion likely to reduce the quality of the conductivity over time.
The optional engraving, carried out by the craftsman himself, is of unparalleled quality and depth. It would be a shame to do without it given the small price difference and the price of the dripper itself.
In terms of drawing, it is a total success. We stay in the classic / modern universe so typical of the creator. The object is heavy, dense, massive and exudes reliability. Moreover, the challenge was to ensure that the finish accompanies the aesthetics and it is quite convincing. The thickness of the materials, their quality, the perfect fit are all parameters that come into play to support the “wow” effect that takes hold of you when you take the dripper in your hand for the first time. For a first collaboration with an industrialist, the result is quite simply stunning!
The screws are exemplary, worthy of a strictly artisanal finish and the technical choices seem to result from a very long reflection but we will come back to this later. The joints may look a bit loose. They are indeed but, personally, I appreciate it just as much because it prevents me, for once, from losing three liters of sweat every time I try to remove the top-caps from the drippers. But I understand that this may bother some. Moreover, the moderator is aware of the problem and will propose an upgrade on a next batch. That is responsiveness and listening to feedback!

24mm in diameter, this means a wide tray allowing easy work but also, thanks to the deep tank, an interesting autonomy in liquid.
Two large airholes are traditionally positioned in front of the resistors. You can choose a single coil or a double-coil, the airflow adjustment which is easily done by turning the top-cap, allowing to hide one of the two holes. These are remarkable, less by their width of about 11mm than by the height of 3mm to allow a flow of air dimensioned to the coils built on a large axis diameter.
The choice of a gantry instead of a triple or quadruple or a velocity type is not trivial. It not only allows very easy assembly because it suffices to wedge the resistive between the movable plate and the top of the device, but also to use any type of complex wire as desired, of large section. The chosen screws are flat recess, easy to handle and lift the plate to tighten your wires. Simple for any assembly. Efficient!
Unscrewing the flat screw constituting the positive pin of the connection makes it possible to remove the positive part of the gantry. Next to it, under the base, is a second screw used to remove the negative part of the gantry. So in case of breakage or desire for a complete cleaning, no problem. You can also install the positive bottom feeder pin provided to add autonomy to the pleasure with a suitable mod, of course.
A 6.6mm deep tank allows you to store a maximum of cotton and therefore liquid, which is always appreciable since we will be able to push this dripper far without refill with each puff! For use as a single coil, it will suffice to pass the cotton between the two poles of the gantry to fill the entire tank.

Why offer a single drip-tip when you can offer two?
This is Pro-Ms's generous choice. So we have a perfectly matched gold-plated brass drip-tip 13.30mm in overall diameter, 9.30 in internal diameter and 9.70mm in height. The vapor passage is therefore wide open so as not to restrict the air flow. A second Teflon dripper is offered, of identical dimensions for those who wish to push the SΩTURN higher in power without risking a problem of too high temperature.
The quality of the two drippers is in unison with the dripper, perfect.

A black velvet pouch marked with the Pro-Ms logo offers us the following sentence: ”When passion feeds dreams” and the signature of the moderator. It contains, in addition to the SΩTURN, a bag with the two drip-tips, spare gaskets for both the base and the top-cap or the drip-tips, spare screws, a clamping plate, a screwdriver and the pin bottom feeder.
It's simple and elegant. Nothing is missing and, for the price, it is very correct.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The assembly is simple. The installation of the capillary too. The different parts are easily dislocated and the gaping orifice of the drip-tip allows optimal filling. That being said for ease of use, let's move on to the final test, the one that will validate the work done.
Tested in single coil and double coil, the SΩTURN will behave effectively in all cases. First of all, the volume of vapor is very impressive, fed in this by an unimpeded and very airy airflow. The conductivity is optimal and even the most diesel assemblies are boosted by the ability of the dripper to convey the voltage well. We feel the speed of heating and we see that the choice of gantry, materials and gold plating is not trivial.
The flavors are very correct even if the dripper asks to increase in power to saturate the aromas. It is definitely not a cushy RDA but rather a machine that must be rushed a little to get the most out of it.
Let's be clear, there is better for the volume of vapor. There is better for rendering flavors. But the quality of the compromise made between the two tendencies by the SΩTURN is very rare. Flavors or steam, the dripper does not choose. It is content to deliver tasty clouds and ramp up with great ease.
More an RDA whose delivered taste is round and homogeneous than a surgical dripper, the SΩTURN is a magical tool to vape voluptuously without asking any questions. All while delivering cubic meters of textured vapor as it passes, as white as summer clouds.
